TWO THOUSAND DOLLAS??? And I thought monthly rent in Bucharest costs too much (a bit over 700 dollars). But maybe (and hopefully) salaries in South Korea are higher than here in Romania. Here the medium salary (so the average salary) is around 914 dollars.
Yeah, accomodation is expensive here. 🥲2k+ $ for decent size, good location and fairly new building are quite normal in Seoul... That being said, you'd be able to find decent accomodation for
Hi, it's a regular rental apartment (monthly rent). I found it together with a local agent, as apartment search in Korea is usually done together with agents/부동산.
@@joyusagi Yes, correct. I stayed in a hotel for 1 month and during that time I looked for an apartment. Next time I would speak to at least two local agents at the same time, to have some competition between them and get better prices.
Thank you for your comment! There are indeed much more economical options for students: dormitories, goshiwon (고시원, basically off-campus dorms), one-rooms and share houses can usually be found in the area around universities. Small but cheap! And the restaurants and eateries around campuses also usually cater to students, so there are good meal deals available (that's why non-students also like to go there)
Hello I am Korean. I am living in Seoul for about 15 years. You should try staying in dormitories or try to share a house with your friends. Accommodation price is extremely expensive in Korea. High population density is the problem I think.

That is insanely expensive rent
Agreed... I'm currently working on a new video about rent in Seoul and why I'm paying so much 🥲
Interesting video. Wonder there is any cheap options for students in Seoul?

Maybe give it a try! Even if it's not forever, it can be a great experience! 😃
