Super cool cover. I'm actually a huge metalhead and a pianist. My skills are not that great lol, but still. As a metalhead, one of the reasons I chose the piano as my instrument is Chopin. Chopin was shredding on the piano so fast. Although I’m not a serial listener of classical music, Chopin is the only composer whose works I’ve really explored in depth. I can confidently say that he is the greatest composer to ever exist.
“There is nothing more beautiful than a guitar, safe for maybe two” - Chopin Yea he did say that, ofc he was talking about classical guitar though. He would most likely be offended by this because he was a very strong musical purist and polish nationalist within his work. His music is often said to almost mirror the cadence of the polish language so when it’s played wrong it’s like an insult to his country. He was actually great friends with Liszt until he once performed one of Chopin’s nocturnes in a virtuosic style with embellishments etc, Chopin forced him to apologise and they never spoke again. Obviously this is all Chopin’s perspective, not mine. I think this is a great performance.
Chopin never intended for this piece to see the light of day, he died before it was published, and made his wishes clear that he never wanted any of his unpublished pieces published. Lucky for us they went against his wishes and put it out there, the world is luckier for it!
I love this series, as a big classical music fan and a guitarist I can’t imagine a much better combination. You should do Prelude in C sharp minor by Rachmaninov
Really can't understand why your comment has so little likes. I couldn't stop laughing while I imagined someone playing this passionately on the triangle.
@@unacuentadeyoutube13 So you should do a collab with Jack Black. He's a great virtuoso on this underrated instrument :D You can convince yourself of his special skills in this video, Charles Berthoud once made with Jack Black: ruclips.net/video/EkISPNpwZyU/видео.html
This piece on piano is for sure complicated but it's not impossible. It can be played as long as you practice PROPERLY (slowly) until you reach the speed that you want. It will take time for sure.
When someone plays with this level of perfection, and treats the chords with this excellent, magical touch, I say: you "spread" the cords, like the butter on a slice of bread.
His more soulful or emotional melodies are very much influenced by Brian May I believe. There is the tone, and then the delayed bends plus vibratos, off-tempo notes, cascading staccatos and the searing high pinch harmonics.
This is a difficult piece on the piano and I was anticipating how you would cover it on the guitar, specifically this 01:15. Nailed it brother B R A V O!
Just brilliant Andre! I’ve finally learned this on the piano to a level I’m happy with now I have the perfect backing track to play along with. Many thanks!
Bravo, audace, intelligente, veramente un grande lavoro! Sembra incredibile ma hai colto l'aspetto "rock" che è inseto in certi brani classici come questo. Mi è piaciuto moltissimo! Bravo!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!! I've seen this song played on harp, violin, piano, accordion, melodica. I even saw a 6 year old singing it while he played it on the piano. I saw an orchestral/jazz version, with a whole orchestra and jazz piano play Fantaisie Impromptu.
YES!! Music from a time when composers were intelligent, creative, brilliant, innovative, clever, grandiose, tender, brash, daring, unrestrained, perfected unlike nowadays wherein there are only a dozen or less of similar caliber who am I kidding, I'm the only 1
If there's a grandmaster for guitarist, that's you. You are just amazingly incredible with those six strings. You should be in the world's greatest guitarist. This was the recital piece on the piano by my niece and it wasn't easy for her but you made this comfortable and fun on the guitar. You're awesome! Wish someday I'll see you play Schubert's Serenade.
Found your channel via the “xyz looney tunes person goes metal” which are amazing, but this is a whole new and amazing side of your abilities! Fantastic stuff, breath of new air in classical music for me. Thank you for the time and dedication you spent to give us this!!!
This is purely amazing! As a Chopin lover, I'm stunned to see how good this could be. Only you could play something like this!! I hope you make a classical/electric guitar concert one day! I'll surely come see that!

The waltz of the flowers - Tchaikovsky
Third movement the moonlight sonata, caprice 24
Skyramid - perfect story lol
Asturias - Isaac Albéniz
Hungarian Dance no.5 - Brahms; Flight of the Bumble Bee :P
Most underrated guitarist on RUclips hands down
He should challenge Davie504
I would say he is underrated. But, no one is as underrated as this man.

This is unbelievably good. Chopin would be proud!
idk
I'm pretty sure this is what Chopin intended, he just didn't know the electric guitar
I wonder what Chopin would've thought of this actually.

This also how heavily Queen was influenced by classical music. So many classical/romantic themes in their harmonies, progressions, and melodies.
Progressive Rock.
Yes, at some points i think it was Brian May!! Especially the bend notes
This video is criminally underviewed...
This is the fantasie improptu version no one was looking for, but everybody needed
As a classical pianist, I didn’t think I’d be into this kinda thing, but jeez am I glad I clicked. Great work dude!!!
I am speechless. Can't even imagine how giant commitment you had to do to get this on that level.
Congratulations.
I think he is just a guitar genius. Look at his other videos. It’s unreal.
This is criminally under rated. This is amazing! I dont follow guitar, I like Piano but searched this song and saw this. Hats off to you my friend!

It'd be nuts as well if he did the fourth trascendental etude by lizst
that piece uses enormous chords so I dunno how well it would translate to guitar
\m/
@@westong9082 he has a bass in the mix usually
Dunno if that piece would work on guitar
It’s not only the hard of playing the notes (SO difficult task), this guy has made a GREAT arrangement. Buen gusto, excellent work.
This ACTUALLY made me cry, it was so beautiful.
This deserves to be this generations "Canon Rock" such a fantastic arrangement from start to finish!
Chopin was a shredder before electric guitar was invented
Unbelievably... The most complex work, to perform with such external ease. Bravo, maestro!!!
NOTHING is beyond this genius...glad I've been around to witness this epochal talent...his kind are transcendentally rare...whoa!
I was hoping he would play the whole piece. This is going to be amazing

Absolutely marvelous. Careful playing and full of emotion. Around 3:02 it reminds me of Queen, I don't know, may be chords, or the tone.
Juan Miguel Altube oh yeah def
Felt the same. And I'm saying that as both a chopin and queen fan!
