If you’re looking for the dip and rip setup, here’s the first thing you need to look for...
A low float stock with news in a hot sector that’s up HUGE in premarket.
That’s your indicator.
How exactly do you build a screener for that? You definitely need to tune into the video! As always, KISS (keep it simple, stupid!).
You don’t need a ton of criteria, just a few key factors.
First, start with price. Focus on stocks that are between $1 and $10… So low-priced, but not a true penny stock. Why? Catch the video for Bohen’s explanation.
Next, look at percent change. If it’s not up more than 50%, don’t bother wasting your time. This really helps narrow down your options.
And, of course, check out the liquidity or daily volume. If it hasn’t traded a minimum of three million shares by 9 a.m. Eastern, move on.
Last thing you need to focus on is the stock float. In the land of low float stocks, you wanna look for less than 10 million shares. If you don’t quite understand stock float, check out the links above for more videos. This is a key factor in the dip and rip.
Running this scan won’t always give you a ton of options, but the whole point of the screeners is finding the best setups. That’s where you can really hone in, and that’s just smart trading.

Funny watching this now in February 2021 because XNTN did it again two days ago. I ran a screen based on what I learned in this video on a Sunday and it popped up for last Friday.

Hi Tim, you said "any time of the day it breaks the HOD, it's a potential trade". But in the example you showed, it spiked and pulled back at the open and broke HOD around 9:45am. Wouldn't you take that trade? And why?

I’m concerned if you do this scan in the morning can’t imagine any stocks will pop up. Is this only for searching for later in the day for the next day?

I have been studying your Dip and Rip and im a little confused. When we scan are we looking for 50% increase from the previous day or the current day in the morning. If its the previous day what is the best way to try and identify the runners before the first big rip??? Thanks
I have the same question, stinks that he didn’t answer this. Kind of looks like he just likes comments and doesn’t really respond. But I have the same question about the 50% if you do the scan in the morning with that criteria I can’t imagine many stocks are going to come up this seems like something that you search for in the afternoon for the following day I don’t typically do scans like that I usually do it for the same day but I guess maybe I should start looking at the next day

at this point i've just gotta try STT. there's no way to learn how to trade when your screener is 15min delayed and not integrated to your chart software.

you say scan for >50% gainers but the scan results all except one are less than 50% I'm confused.
