How did he do it?
I've seen a lot of people try and do "creepy" kids media and most of the time it's done in such a lame way but this was 1. a genuinely clever use of an existing episode since it's already a 'sad' scene and 2. It's more psychological with it's creepiness rather than focusing on fake gore or bloody eyes or whatever. It's presenting an already "upsetting" scene and taking it WAY TOO seriously, diving into the isolation, depression and despair SpongeBob is feeling. Great work.

I'm starting to think that all the retakes and the other horror episodes on the channel are all within an entire connected universe.
At this point, I am CONVINCED that this, Lies and Red Mist are all connected. Squidward's death really messed up SpongeBob's head to the point of self-depcrication. He said that he wished that he could be a better friend to Squidward, and now he thinks he's not a good enough owner to Gary. So much so, that he's begun to hallucinate the voices of his closest friends telling him that he's not good enough. Dang, this crap goes deep.

the transition into the dumped image, the added story afterwards, and the voices of what sounds like mr krabs and squidward berating spongebob just all adds up into one amazing video. you've never failed to make bad creepypasta's amazing, and i bet you will continue to do more

This stuff you’re making is PEAK lost episode material. The art, effects, the dialogue, the sound is absolutely perfect and a *phenomenal* improvement from the original sources. This one is my favorite, closely followed by the Red Mist re-take. Keep it up, man!
If this was found in a children’s hospital, imagine a kid snowed on medication, and the doctor puts on this tape that says SpongeBob while the kid lies there barely conscience watching this.

I'd watch the heck out of an actually dark Sponebob episode. Not just creepy, but actually realistically dark like this.
In a way, I always thought of this creepypasta as a continuation or something similar to what the red mist would of have.
When it originally came out.
It really feels like a sequel. Spongebob being taunted with Gary's "betrayal" was akin to the loss of Squidward and that brought up some bad memories about it

Glad we got this version/own interpitation of bootleg spongebob because its really well done and the added extra story with the inner voice judging spongebob as Patrick is talking at the same time makes it definitely better.

This is actually depressing. Through this analog horror we can see Spongebob going through a serious stage of clinical depression after realizing that Gary is no longer with him and is with Patrick. The voices in his head, especially from Mr Krabs indicate how others have reacted to his brutal discovery.
I love how the animation looks realistic and would be seen on a real episode tape.
Here's my theory. After the events of the Lies video, life slowly moved on without Squidward. Soon, Gary would decide to live and enjoy life with Patrick, causing SpongeBob to become upset. The Nickelodeon Fish from the Lies video judges SpongeBob about the events currently unfolding, somewhat taunting him, and using his multi-voice abilities to talk to SpongeBob in different tones. The Fish is practically a spectator, watching and commentating on SpongeBob's moves and motives, judging him. The two can definitely interact with each other. However, SpongeBob just listens in shallow. The fact that a god like entity in the form of fish made for branding and marketability could be the exact same thing causing SpongeBob misery absolutely baffles the sponge. With Squidward gone, and Patrick and Gary calling him pathetic, it seems only reasonable that SpongeBob is slowly losing his mind. First Squidward, then Patrick, then Gary, and soon maybe Mister Krabs or Sandy Cheeks. It's even worse he can't do anything about it. For all we know, the Nickelodeon Fish possibly operates their universe, pulling every thread, pulling every string. The world of Bikini Bottom to the Fish is a toy box, filled with many puppets to control and manipulate. And SpongeBob doesn't want to let go of what happened to Squidward, which is the reason why the Fish judges and pokes fun of him in the Lies video. But soon, for all we know, SpongeBob might snap, either resulting in the Fish punishing him, or something far, far worse. But, we can't tell until the next part of VibingLeaf's awesome analog series continues! Can't wait for the next video!
As we remember in the Lies creepypasta Spongebob goes on a rampage killing everyone trying to prove he's not a good person but something more. This could be where Spongebob eventually breaks and loses his sanity after he slowly loses everything. His friends,his snail, and if VibingLeaf does Served he might lose another "friend" this might be to much for the Sponge and he goes mad.

i believe this could be the continuation of red mist and lies, after grieving so much over squidward, spongebob had one last friend that could help him go through his grief... *gary*
however in this episode patrick "takes away" gary, in the original version spongebob doesn't grieve that much over losing gary, but in this version he grieves far more since he's afraid of losing another friend, he already lost squidward after all...
Imagine being a little kid, sneaking down in the dark living room to watch SpongeBob episode in the middle of the night when everyone else is sleeping. And this appears...
*There seems to be this arc of SpongeBob in denial, first him pretending Squidward is still here to cope with something related to him, now him trying to get Gary back.*
*This makes me think that Lies isn’t meant to be part of Red Mist Retake.*

This sounds like it's still canon to Red Mist. After losing Squidward, Spongebob goes into a deep state of depression, that depression being humanized by the Lies Fish. After he loses his companion Gary, his depression spirals out of control, and therefore the Lies Fish becomes more aggressive towards Spongebob. Another hint that this is canon is the scene here where Spongebob's face corrupts, just like in the end of Red Mist Retake (this could mean Spongebob is scarred mentally after the events). I also noticed that the lies fish tried to get Spongebob to stop lying to himself, but now the lies fish is lying to Spongebob. Patrick didn't even do anything wrong, he was just addressing the fact that Spongebob has to stop living in the past and that Gary simply prefers patrick. That's how far down Spongebob has hit rock bottom.

I love how this was made...the dark surroundings of the whatever tv this was, the glitching, how the camera was just standing still, and the edited episode of Spongebob which gives much of a creepy vibe. If this was a real bootleg Spongebob episode that person did a very good job on it.
the most underappreciated part of VibingLeaf's videos is that they put captions in them so you don't have to watch the same clip over and over and over just trying to figure out what someone said

This is the most realistic lost media yet. Something that the writers could have possibly put, because it's not deadly or bloody, but decided not to, because it's too deep for children to understand.

I love the fact that there Spongebob has been take over by the voices in his head, making see itself miserable and without any sense of living as he is.
I can't help but feel like the fish from Lies is responsible for this. The changing voices and constant almost-gleeful berating of SpongeBob fit that thing to a T.

Mixing Lies with Bootleg spongebob episode was something unexpecting to see to be honest i like how the nickelodeon fish haves an important role in this now.
So right now I feel these SpongeBob ones are a series. These events tie into each other from past episodes and build tension.
To me it feels first Squidward killer himself in Red Mist, then Lies happened as SpongeBob dreams SW was still alive. After that, Gary leaves him, resulting in further depression. Also, Served plays somewhere in the timeline, I don’t know where.

So to clarify what happened:
This takes place either after or before lies. In the first glitch, it isn’t apparent, but in the second glitch, on the top of the screen, you can see the lies fish, once again berating spongebob how even Gary left him, mocking Mr Krabs in a way, a trick to convince that even his boss is against him
But after all Gary just wants the cookies in Patrick's pants. Confirming The Lie Fish as a presentation of schizophrenia that's caused by the nurture of lost of Squidward
Also using a lot of voices. Which is what schizophrenia does.
i love how it cuts off after they realize patrick had a cookie in his pant's pocket which is what gary wanted all along, so i assume that it wasnt a cookie or anything, gary actually liked patrick more. and im gonna take a bold guess and say that in true creepypasta glory the intrusive thoughts end up making spongebob kill himself.
This feels so eerie because you never know when the "funny" stuff will happen, and you just keep waiting for it knowing something is wrong
