Got to love this new found mileage and power from these trucks. I just took a 3500 mile round trip with my wife to florida after doing HPP efi live and an s465 swap and got 24mpg hand calc, 28.8 according to the lie-o-meter at 80mph. Again like you said its based on truck setup and tune. Im driving a g56 2wd 3.42 gear truck so that helps alot on highway runs. Love the truck and video, looking to see more. subscriber 114!!!!!
For anyone out there who wants to delete but keep the equipment in place but turn it all off check out the ez lynk it also allows you to adjust the speedo for tire size and monitor a bunch of things from your phone ios and android only
Great video! Thank you for sharing it. We always tell our customers hand calculated mpg is around 16-18. Also, friend, we updated our tuning and changed somethings. ;) Def gauge now reads full.
I have 2012 2500 with stock tire/wheel combo, full delete with the MM3 programmer and only get 11-14 depending on wind and traffic conditions. That is multiple tanks hand calculated using my gps for distance measurements over the last year since I did the delete. No noticeable improvement in economy or performance. So why did I spend $3000 to do all this???
2018 3500 4x4 SB SWB Quad laramie. 2800 miles to date w/ hand calc'd miles less than 15 MPG to date. Sea level Ave 70 MPH highway. last fill 14.4 MPG lie- o-meter 22. C~R~A~Z~Y
I can only assume that it is not a Cummins my 2018 4x4 SB has averaged on the highway 20 to 21 and that is with the calculator on my phone. So you may need your truck checked out.
I also have a 2015 250p 6.7l and It is not deleted, stock truck. I drove 68 miles one way for work these past 3 days and the average es 22.5 mpg. Now I didn't use cruise when not on the highway but I averaged 70mph and still got that mileage. Also not cost ground. I believe speculator, my is 1500 feet above sea level. I don't best the truck but I do drive the truck. Not sure if I should delete it. I'm on the fence.
2013 Ram Cummins 2500 crew cab, stock , driving at night at 55 mph during the summer . I got 25 mpg when I calculated , dash read 28 . I think it has the 3.73 rear
My buddy has been letting me drive his 2014 ram 2500. Doing 55 it gets 24mpg and doing 75 it was getting 19-20mpg. He’s on 35’s and the only mod so far is some emissions stuff fell off. I can only imagine what a deleted truck with all the must-do upgrades would do.
I have a 2012 ram 3500, 6.7 Cummings high output 3.73 gears (stock emissions/ not deleted) and average 19 mpg empty @ 65mph interstate and 15mpg city driving.
Wish I would have bought a one ton long bed by the way. I travel for months at a time and always run out of storage. Also I sometimes go over the payload due to tongue weight of the supposedly half ton towable trailer!!!!
My 1500 Ram with the 5.7hemi gets around 22 on the highway. Computer usually says 24-25, but going by miles driven/gallons gas bought it's always 21-22.
18' 6.7 mega dually deleted and tuned on 200+hp tune and im now avging 15-21 depending on activity. I just hate the vgt and god damn it will somone crack the aisin ecu cause its terrible
I got the same mileage with the 1500 Tradesman 2 wheel drive that I had. I loved that truck but it just wasn't enough to tow my 30 foot travel trailer. It was definitely much more economical to run. Best riding truck out there too, especially compared to my Ram 2500 diesel!
Dude the quickness of this truck is insane for the 1 ton. just sold 6.4 Hemi Power Wagon 2500 it was quick to 100 but Cummins much quicker . 6.4 was sketchy on on ramps the rear end would want to pass the front but now it is do not touch the throttle very much when you make 1000# pounds of trQ at less than 3000 rpm
And it get's more than 30 most of the time on low throttle regen is 100% on most driving and 35 boost 1000# thrust is awesome Love Ram and Cummins partnership
You guys are all lucky. I am running 4.10 on my 2012 srw. The best I get is 19mpg on the 120 Warp tune. 16 on the 60hp 12v tune. But I'm running 33.86 diameter grapplers. Cruise for me is 1600 to 1700 rpm.
I, like others do appreciate these videos, thanks. But keep in mind when doing videos on your next truck a more accurate test would be at the 70 to 75 mile-per-hour mark. As the majority of Highway driving that people do I feel 70 to 75 would be more accurate. I would also like to see testing done on 30 horse Tunes vs 90 horse or even 175 horse tune. Lots of guys claim just as good if not better mileage on hot Tunes under normal driving conditions as some of the 30 and 60 horse Tunes. I also tend to think that people make a mistake by going off the lie o meter gauge. Maybe it's different for others but when I had my 2011 Ram my lie o meter was off by about three to five miles per gallon after deletes and tune we're done. I've had several other diesel trucks in the past few years most being my grandpa's trucks and the lie o meters have always been off by about three to five miles per gallon. In all cases that was with tuned trucks.
Curtis Bull people also use bigger tires and don't account for the percentage of size difference from old to new. That skews their fuel mileage from the driver information center badly. Most people are ignorant to that, though.
I have a 08 2500 6 Speed with a Sinister delete and I'm averaging 19.5 to 20.5 at 75 and 80 miles an hour on the highway 256,000 miles on it also have a 6inch left thing your pretty accurate with your video
You can calibrate your MPG with your tune. The calibration should be adjustable in the computer. The tune designer should be able to explain and recalibrate the fuel gauge.
Heck it would help if he would drive better....but theres nothing like the rear axle coming across 2 lanes and sliding 30ft more after it rains... i love riding and driving in it but i dont get to drive it as much as i would like
Dad pulls the work trailer a 15000lb bumper pull enclosed tandem and struggled to get 9mpg tried this and got 13-14 in va The 5.9l loved 1800 w/ 4.10 and 35’s The 6.7l loves 2100 w/3.73 and 34~’s
That’s not even accurate. My car will say 39.4mpg if I zero out the trip and hop on the highway. But in reality the avg for the tank through the highway is only 32. So try it after a whole tank.
Where do you live? Ive been contemplating deleting/tuning but nervous about the warranty being voided. I live in a small town in the mountains, and my truck sits for 2 weeks of the month when I travel for work. All my driving is short trips to the grocery and various stores, and then up and down the mountains to go play. Only loads I ever haul are dirtbikes and snowmobiles..
J Carr I live in Oregon. If you are concerned about warranty then wait. You really are not hurting anything by waiting. In fact I just traded this truck off on a new 17’ big horn. Video will post soon. I am going to wait to delete this one until the warranty is up. Don’t rush it unless you are absolutely sure.
10-4, thought it looked like Oregon! I am from there too but live in Tahoe now. Been trying to figure out how much elevation affects the tunes and whether it would be in my benefit to do that or not.
Why do people care about fuel mileage with 3/4 ton and up trucks? I’ll never understand that, listen folks, if we can or if anyone buys a 55-80k dollar truck, we have the expendable income not to give a shit about fuel, it’s a truck, mostly 8-9500 pounds, these vehicles aren’t designed around fuel economy, don’t buy one if you care that much about fuel mileage, me personally don’t care one bit, I rarely look at my fuel mileage, just make sure that when I’m at 1/4 tank I fill up, that’s it, simple.
Something to keep in mind though, fuel mileage as well as the boost in power ratings to make towing my skid loader easier was a deciding factor of getting a Cummins when I wrecked my Hemi 2500 earlier this year. Not everyone is a moron and can justify $50-80k for a truck I work out of. It has been a blessing to find the 15' RAM I have now with the Cummins. The Hemi did a good job of towing, much better than my older Silverado with the 6.0, but fuel mileage was terrible. The Cummins gets better towing than the Hemi did unloaded. So yeah, it totally goes into the decision of whether the Cummins is worth the the extra 8-9 k, when you do the math (barring no major repairs) it will pay for itself in the long run. Sorry for being so long winded 😉

HELLO''''''''. its been a while, how is the truck doing to date...? any trans issues at all. ? please reply ,I'm looking for owner info on real world issues etc. My 2015 is still 100% stock. I'm looking at DRD. also.
i dont have this truck anymore. i bought a new 17 as shown in my other videos. to answer your question i did not have any trans issues whatsoever. i sold it with 42k miles.
You should use this app “Drivvo” it has you log fuel type #2 or Highway Blend ,your miles, fuel cost, and how many gallon at every fill up and it calculates your mpg per fill. I’m not deleted and I’m averaging 18.2mpg I can only wonder if I fully deleted it and added ez-link what I could get out of 2018 Ram Crew Cab 2500 4x4 6.7L
70 is too slow my 08 gets on average 20@80-85 with 297k on the clock. Also your truck needs to be driven long distance. I have a 100mile commute per day.
I know a couple of guys that deleted their powerstroke and they are complaining about hard shifting Have you had any issues with the tranny doing a harsh shift? thanks.
Marion Blair no issues with that. I have warp tuning as well from ray, that increases line pressure just a little and really makes the truck shift well. I deleted at 30k miles. I would do it all over again with no hesitation. I'm not one that wants more power, or have any desire to roll coal. This tune burns clean and makes the truck run great
i haven't noticed anything different on the oil color. It still goes black as soon as it is started the first time. i think that is just a diesel thing.
Oh man I need to do something I’m running the 2015 6.7L 4500 long bed (14ft.) and with my rear end I’m getting 8.7mpg all stock 6speed manual g56. And 4.11 rear #str88ch sadly lives in California so there’s not much I can do
Jason Arbuckle stick has least amount of torque to start with aison way to go anything with dually or pulling goose alot 68rfe good for 12,000 and under 2500
That's low should be closer to 16-19 you must have a lead foot lol if you take it easy on the gas and use cruise control on the e-way you should see around a 3-4 mpg gain trust me your driving habits make a bigger difference than you think when it comes to these big trucks they're thirsty as hell.
Spartan 212 yes sir you won't need DEF ever again. And as for MPG is, I haven't seen much of a difference, but the fun factor of a deleted truck is likely why. I can't keep my foot off the pedal due to how amazing it sounds
Spartan 212 if anything happens to your vehicle while under warranty, the dealership must pronounce why that specific modification caused damage, without proof, they can not void the warranty. For example, you put a filter back exhaust on and the engine seizes up. They cannot void your warranty. There is in fact intakes that validate your safe from voiding warranty, but as long as you do a filter back exhaust you'll be safe, it won't sound much different than stock, but would probably look better. (Unless you did 5 inch, that may make it sound deeper)
Aaron Walczak yes. No coal rolling, when you floor it you may get a very small amount out the pipe, but it's rare. I am not one to really hot rod my truck. I have put the pedal to the floor a total of 2-3 times since I bought it new. I also stayed with the 4" flo-pro exhaust. Perfect in my opinion. Little rumble at idle, quite on the highway.
2009reezen perfect! That is EXACTLY what I'm looking for!!! I've talked to a lot of people about my intentions on deleting for longevity not power, and most of them laugh and tell me I need the power, and "rolling coal" is awesome! Which, it isn't, a slight haze or the occasional puff is fine, but I don't need a cloud of black behind me to be "a real man" I appreciate the videos and taking the time to reply! You and Ray have certainly helped me make up my mind!
Aaron Walczak happy to help. I deleted for all the same reasons. Longevity and reliability. Not that I don't appreciate a hopped up diesel, just not what I am going for. Good luck, I hope you are just as pleased as I have been
that is hard to answer, simply because i never take it down under a quarter tank. From full to a quarter, not towing, with normal daily driving i can get anywhere from 475 to 525. im sure if i ever wanted to stretch it could hit close to 600 before empty but again i never go below a quarter tank. Also, if i keep my speedo under 65 mph i can get 22-25 mpg. if i go 65-75 mph that drops to 20-21 mpg. That's calculated, not per the gauge.
2009reezen seems legit i have a 2016 2500 crew, longbed 4x4 and get around 500 lately have gotten it to 623 one time but mostly highway then ill tow a trailer on the weekend but just like 10 miles total. But nice to here i really want to delete mine just havent passed 25k yet. Is youre truck lifted in anyway? Mud tires or anything?
Luis Perea no lift or leveling kit. I have replaced the tires with good year K02's. i really like them. I have 30k on them and they are at 50%. Truck is all stock minus the delete. When you decide to delete I recommend talking with Ray at Double R Diesel. Great tunes, great service. I also went with stock 4" flow pro exhaust instead of 5". No real "good" reason, just the decision I made at the time.
I've got a similar setup and can get close to 600 miles to a tank on a 90hp tune. I ran my 30hp tune today and was doing 23-27 mpg on flat highway doing 75 mph.

"Got a good wave. We're legal." funniest shit ever 😂
I get 24 mpg, in an 2008 6.7 Ram 2500. I tow in 5th. Great video thanks for sharing.🇺🇲👍
Great video! Thank you for sharing it. We always tell our customers hand calculated mpg is around 16-18. Also, friend, we updated our tuning and changed somethings. ;) Def gauge now reads full.

Ya no shit, I get better than that in my stock dually
You're getting the same mileage my Power Wagon gets, is it a 6.4? If not something is up with your truck for sure.
Will S. Up to 15,000 mileage is improved 17-18 Cummins 6.7 stock quad. City. Highway is up to 19
@@streetchicken5738 That's more like it then, 14 is just too low for a 6.7.
CLBFT the tune has been flawless. Very happy to say that least.
2009reezen awesome! Can't wait to delete mine with Rays wrap tunning!
I get over 20 mpg @ 70 and 80 mph. Completely stock truck, 3.42 gears.
how? mine gets 15mpg with the g56 at 70mph
Is it 2 or 4 wheel drive?
I was told 80-100 hp tunes give the best MPG gains
Between 55-60 is usually where I get the best MPG's. Get above 70.. Meh. Usually not over 20. Maybe if it is flat and no wind/tailwind.
Elevation , temperature can make a significant difference. A truck at high elevation might get 2-3 mpg worse .
I also have a 2015 250p 6.7l and It is not deleted, stock truck. I drove 68 miles one way for work these past 3 days and the average es 22.5 mpg. No way you are getting that on a stock 6.7. Heck my 5.9 got around that highway on a good day . It was tuned 40hp for economy 4wd mega cab.

2013 Ram Cummins 2500 crew cab, stock , driving at night at 55 mph during the summer . I got 25 mpg when I calculated , dash read 28 . I think it has the 3.73 rear
If u run a 100hp tune at 75-80 23-24 average that a after the average stabilizes and 700+ via 36 gallon and 14-15.4 mpg pulling 9000lbs+

Wish I would have bought a one ton long bed by the way. I travel for months at a time and always run out of storage. Also I sometimes go over the payload due to tongue weight of the supposedly half ton towable trailer!!!!
2012's with low mileage on them are very cost effective and the bonus is that was the last year of no DEF for Ram.
Gotta love that drive from Madras to bend!
Lol! yeah the red barn and classic cars on the right were a dead give away.
My 1500 Ram with the 5.7hemi gets around 22 on the highway. Computer usually says 24-25, but going by miles driven/gallons gas bought it's always 21-22.

10-4, thought it looked like Oregon! I am from there too but live in Tahoe now. Been trying to figure out how much elevation affects the tunes and whether it would be in my benefit to do that or not.
J Carr more specifically, redmond Oregon. My home town
On my 08 Cummins I'm getting about 20mpg going 75 not delete yet

Obama Diesel Exhaust Cooker warranty expired 80k. 3rd Cooker by 75K so 78k I deleted. Save 10c mile or $1000/10,000 miles
Or $10,000/100k miles!
So if I deleted@0, $7800 saving + $10,500=$18,400 fuel savings!
Your observations on EGT/Torgue etc are exactly mine. I drive the same way. What delete and tune are you running. thanks.
i am running a 30 hp tune from Ray at Double R Diesel. when/if you decide to delete your truck i would highly recommend them. Truck runs amazing.
This tune burns clean and makes the truck run great
Thanks for that. Have you had it deleted long enough to see if the oil is cleaning up any?
i haven't noticed anything different on the oil color. It still goes black as soon as it is started the first time. i think that is just a diesel thing.
what is the orange light that is lit on the bottom of gauges ?
David Blessing exhaust brake is turned on.
Oh man I need to do something I’m running the 2015 6.7L 4500 long bed (14ft.) and with my rear end I’m getting 8.7mpg all stock 6speed manual g56. And 4.11 rear #str88ch sadly lives in California so there’s not much I can do
Jason Arbuckle stick has least amount of torque to start with aison way to go anything with dually or pulling goose alot 68rfe good for 12,000 and under 2500
Dang! I only avg 13.5 mpg in my 08 Ram 1500 Hemi sport :/
Robert Luoma cuz it's gas
That's low should be closer to 16-19 you must have a lead foot lol if you take it easy on the gas and use cruise control on the e-way you should see around a 3-4 mpg gain trust me your driving habits make a bigger difference than you think when it comes to these big trucks they're thirsty as hell.
may sound dumb but how can you drive it without any DEF?
tuner deletes the DPF (which uses DEF) and makes it able to straight-pipe.
Chris J so basically you save having to buy that and it increases ur mpg?
Spartan 212 yes sir you won't need DEF ever again. And as for MPG is, I haven't seen much of a difference, but the fun factor of a deleted truck is likely why. I can't keep my foot off the pedal due to how amazing it sounds
Chris J I have a question if you add an intake and exhaust that doesn't void warranty it's only when you do the tune right?
Spartan 212 if anything happens to your vehicle while under warranty, the dealership must pronounce why that specific modification caused damage, without proof, they can not void the warranty. For example, you put a filter back exhaust on and the engine seizes up. They cannot void your warranty. There is in fact intakes that validate your safe from voiding warranty, but as long as you do a filter back exhaust you'll be safe, it won't sound much different than stock, but would probably look better. (Unless you did 5 inch, that may make it sound deeper)
I get better fuel mileage working the throttle myself believe it or not.
I believe it.
Is it a srw or drw?
Srw
Miles in 3500 please
Is that a 2500 or 3500?
2500
If you don’t mind I’d like to know how much it cost for this setup. I have a 15 ram dually I want to do
Rip Riley all said and done plan on about $3000. Prices are always changing though. May be cheaper now. I didn’t exactly know then what I know now.
Rip Riley i
200 to 1000 miles trips at 27-30mpgs, 6spd 4door 2015 2500 10,000+LBS 🤣😆 🤣
Do you really go 60 mph on highway ?
What in the flying fuck are you saying
how are you liking rays 30HP tune?
tune is perfect. nothing i would change. a bit more power then stock, still burns clean and no turbo lag. nothing negative about it.
2009reezen its burns clean with no coal roaling? That's what I'm looking for. I'll probably be getting the 30 hp tune and a 4 inch tbe with muffler
Which, it isn't, a slight haze or the occasional puff is fine, but I don't need a cloud of black behind me to be "a real man"
I appreciate the videos and taking the time to reply! You and Ray have certainly helped me make up my mind!
Aaron Walczak happy to help. I deleted for all the same reasons. Longevity and reliability. Not that I don't appreciate a hopped up diesel, just not what I am going for. Good luck, I hope you are just as pleased as I have been
I got 30.5 in a 2014 highway
How many miles are you getting off a tank?
that is hard to answer, simply because i never take it down under a quarter tank.
2009reezen i apreciate that man and nice might have to get me them tires these start looking like crap at 18k. And will do man thanks.
I've got a similar setup and can get close to 600 miles to a tank on a 90hp tune. I ran my 30hp tune today and was doing 23-27 mpg on flat highway doing 75 mph.
