I'll share a bad RUclips habit: Watching a PJ video all the way to the end to find out the point PJ was making, only to find out that PJ has no point to make. But, if you're really engrossed in an immersive video, then, "you're having fun; time not wasted."
Reminds me of a roommate I once had who kept trying to discover the point of every Monty Python sketch. I insisted that the didn't all have points, that some were just silly. And he maintained that since he could discern the point of some of them, the others MUST also have points.
Am I the only one who has PJ's third gaming habit but for books? I force myself to read a book super s l o w l y so I can enjoy it for longer. I did that with Harry Potter
One of my bad habits is going crazy at the library and getting lots of books, then reading them and then halfway through maybe the second or third one I realize they now all need to be returned before I get fined. Then I have to return the book while it's half finished, as well as all the ones I never even started... sigh...
fun tip: to avoid self-inflicted game incompletion, try skimming through walkthroughs on the internet to refresh your memory so you don't have to start the game over
I have a terrible habit that I become the character so much that I avoid taking any damage which means that I don't take any risks which basically means I don't complete the game. But that's also why I can complete games like pokemon where you aren't the one fighting. Wow that sounds sadistic.
I was addicted to Super mario.. I found the controller when I went home last and it's just covered in my bite marks from when Bowzer would defeat me! haha
I do a similar thing! I love the game, but then I feel like I'm spending too much time on it for my own good, so then I just stop playing it - and later when I want to play it again, I don't remember what the heck I'm even doing, so I restart it. And repeat. And repeat. I still haven't finished Pokemon Emerald.
I had a wii and for my only bday present last year I got Mario galaxy 64, I remembered that we only had one wii remote and no numchuks, so my dad bought us another remote and two numchuks,we were really excited to play a real game and not just wii sports and stuff; but when we tried it it turns out the wii itself was broken so we wasted about 200 dollars on that :'(
I have the opposite problem with games. I play them consistantly for as long as i can until i finish the game, like every second of free time I'll spend trying to finish the new game I have, and then I'll finish it really fast and end up having to reply several times more because I want to enjoy it again.
I hate the fact that whenever I see a game,I will research that sheet like no tomorrow.I crave knowing things about the games I want to play but when I do that I will spoil the game to myself and then I will know all the secrets and I won;t play the game, but I will still want it.Like Animal Crossing New Leaf for example.I know everything about it but I still want it.
My worst habit right now isn't that I just put the game down but that playing video games in college isn't always something I have enough free time to do and I'm currently in the middle of Pokemon Y and Animal Crossing and when will I finish those idk maybe when I have a diploma and house payments :[
I have flaw number 3, not with video games, but with books and I just go into this downwards spiral where fiction is more important than reality and I care more about fictional characters and omg the feels THE FEELS DESTROY ME
i did the exact same thing with fire emblem awakening i loved the story so much i didnt want to finish it to fast so i stopped and now i just never finished the game
The way he is with video games, LITERALLY is the way I'm with books. I haven't touched my favorite series last book bc I didn't want it to end, now it's been 5 years and I'm not as immersed anymore ):
my gaming habit is playing games for a long time, then forgetting y im playing it . then turning the game off. then i dont play it for months but when i play it agian i get frustrated and leave the game off and walk away. only for my little brother to erase my new data!
I get too emotionally attatched to my support/side characters if they're on my side- but for some reason I choose to like the characters that the video game designers/writers don't seem to care about-- so they either: A.) Kill them off or B.) Just slowly make them disappear from the plot, thinking that no one will notice. I notice... everytime.. don't do that to me XD
I'm sorry Pj...I love your chill videos and you always have good content..but...i'm sorry but I always just end up staring at your beautiful face for most of the video half listening xD it's okay tho because it makes me watch it couple more times xD
Games I've never finished for that same reason that I can remember are, like you, Minish Cap (I stopped at Hyrule castle, like, THE FINAL BOSS), and Golden Sun: The lost ages. That game is so long but so damn good. I've been returning to it for years now but I am so lost. Finally, I recently bought A link Between worlds and I've stopped because within a few days I found myself where I am in Minish Cap... but I don't want to end it yet.
One of my bad habits is a will play a video game and forget that I have homework. Now this wouldn't matter if I was in high school but I'm in college. I serious think that there should be addiction classes for video games cause I need them. Worst procrastinator every.
I'll get so immersed into a game that I'll play it every chance I get then I realize maybe I'm playing it too often and stop forever and maybe only ever play it again for nostalgic reasons because I know I'm never gonna be as good as when I was first in love with it.
My worst gaming habit is the same as your habit #3 I never finish a game mostly because I get addicted and go on it all the time then take a few days break and forget all about it. I still need to complete my pokemon x after getting to the pokemon league after endless hours of playing and then not playing on it for a while...
It's always sims for me; the same old story of finding the game at the back of your cupboard, playing it non stop for 4 days and then letting it gather dust for a few years until you rediscover it. And I've got quite a few sims games, and I am certain I have NEVER completed at least one.
okay I have something to get off my chest... I did this one time. In year 6 I started reading Harry Potter and the deathly hallows. And then I moved to secondary school and forgot about it. So I still haven't finished the Harry Potter series. I AM SO ASHAMED I AM SORRY :(
metooo! like i just have a problem, i read a geek girl book in 15 minutes (a quarter of a bus journey home from Whsmith) and im reading a book right now and ive stopped reading it for 3 months so i dont have to say bye to the characters xD
I'll sometimes start a game and go days playing it, then when the game is over I think to myself "wow I really liked this game and I'll replay it tomorrow" but then I end up losing it the next day and just forget it.
I do something similar in the way that I get really excited to get a game, and when I get it I play it a lot for a while, and then I just kind of fade out of it and end up not playing it for ages, and then wanting to restart it again like you do....
omg that ending though lol "if you want the balls that is." haha! Idk if I have bad gaming habits. Any game I get I always love it. I usually play through it get as much as I can, unlock what I can &then play it again after I finish in case I unlock new things. I only go back to some games though. Pokemon is just enjoyable all around! But I am definitely loving x&y! I don't think I'll get tired of that for a while!
Fail anger - not being able to complete mission/level. Getting so frustrated I hide the game at the back of the game stack, only to find it 2 years later and think 'Oh, haven't played this in a while'... and so the loop begins again.
I saw your ad on "The Most Popular Girls In School"! I stayed and watched the whole thing and pointed out episodes. I'm so glad you got to make that reel it was amazing just like you. :-)
when i play a video game i really like, ill play the entire game all the way but only follow the main story line. then, right before the very last boss, ill go back and try to do all the side-quests. but then by that points its so much that i inevitably get overwhelmed and dont finish it at all.
I'm honestly so relieved that you share my horrible gaming habits. My friend got Pokemon X two weeks after me and she's done already... I haven't fought gym #5 yet...
The stop playing a game for a while and then restarting because you can't remember where you were is my worst gaming habit too! UGH! If it wasn't for my brother, I wouldn't know the ending to almost every Zelda game.
Great video Pj! I love the shots and can I just say you have picked all the background music perfectly it is actually amazing. :) Also habit 3 ALL the time....
I get excited by a game, get hyped, order it, watch a full gameplay of it on youtube, and then when the game arrives I don't want to play it since I've already watched all the story missions on youtube... Oh xcom how I'd love to maybe finish you one day.
I'm horrible at not finishing games, then a month later after getting it back out forgetting where I was, and then going into a small gaming depression with the fact that I'd have to start the game over.
This made me realize that it's been five years since I got Soul Silver, and I haven't finished it because I literally did what PJ does. And now the end music... Time to dig out my DS
I have a list of over 50 games that I plan on going back and finishing in my head at all times. With them I remember exactly what I was doing, when I last played it, what I was trying to do (including my planned future levelling for my characters in RPGs) and everything that is still of note that has happened in the game up to that point. Sometimes I wonder if there would be a better use of my memory, but then I remind myself that it's my favourite thing to do (even more than actually playing the games) and I continue to add more games to the list. I promise I will finish you someday, Majora's Mask!
My problem is that I'm obsessive to the point of boredom. I will get to the end of the game and right before finishing it I will say, "I know I can beat the game now, but I should go get all the items/missions/levels first" And then after spending another 20+ hours going through every last crevice of the game and leveling all my party members up to the max, I get bored and never actually complete the game.
I have the same nostalgia problem you have! All my favorite old games are great! Until I notice how different they are compared to their newer versions...I also have the bad habit of trying to pick up where I left off, not remembering where I am, then restarting only to not have enough time to play. I put it down and a month later...the cycle starts again. Regardless, I love video games! And what you said about how they're not a waste of money or time really helped me out. Thanks peej :-)
I do the exact same thing I get into it the I stop playing it all together go back into it restart it replay it get bored stop playing and never finish it
I do #3 with books as well. I bought the last book to my favorite series the day it came out, and a year later it's still on my bookshelf, with a bookmark at the end of chapter 1. I don't want it to end!
OH GOD THE SLOW WALKING SPEED. Pokemon Red was one of the few games we had. My family was poor, so my brother and I shared a Pokemon Red, one Playstation Game (gifted to us w/console), and two Nintendo64 games (also gifted to us w/console). Since we had a total of 4 video games, we spent a LOT of time re-playing them. The walking speed in Red drove me crazy even when it was new tbh.
The third habit you mentioned is the same habit I have! I play a game but I start to get bored constantly playng it so I stop. I eventually come back to the game feeling like starting it all over again so I do. I have so many games I haven't finished!
I do that too! I don't want things to end SO badly that I stop playing it for a couple days, which then turns into weeks, which turns into months and so on and so forth. I do this with not only games, but shows and books as well. It's the worst.
you have succeeded in reminding me i have not yet completed pokemon black. see my problem is i start games and love it. then it gradually gets more difficult and/or frustrating and i put it to the side thinking 'i will complete this when i'm less tired or can think straight'... and then i never get back to it again. this is the same for pokemon ranger shadows of almia and guardian signs... i'm bad at finishing games once they start to get difficult
I used to be obsessed with buying new games then I would never finish the old ones then I start to feel bad and go into deep thought then I find something else to do and leave it all completely.
The thing that gets me is trying to quest with friends. They will do the bare minimum to get to the next leveling grounds and I will be stuck with a full quest log trying to decide which side quest to drop, slowly getting further and further behind. Before long everyone has a maxed out level character and I have started again because I found another class specific quest that I just NEED to do /sigh
My channel is a gaming channel so whenever I get a new game I always feel guilty about not recording it, so I end up with a lot of them sitting around for AGES. And instead of playing the games I really want to experience, I end up playing stuff like Minecraft, Banished, Sims 3, and Skyrim. I recently played Dishonored without recording it, and I absolutely LOVED it. But I feel bad for not recording it, because I liked it so much and I think my viewers would've enjoyed it too. Also, not saving. I always forget to save and it sucks.
I'll share a bad RUclips habit: Watching a PJ video all the way to the end to find out the point PJ was making, only to find out that PJ has no point to make. But, if you're really engrossed in an immersive video, then, "you're having fun; time not wasted."
No time wasted at all when you get to look at that face :)
No you're not, I'm the same way.
Yes! I got half way through the last Harry Potter book but it was going too fast so I stopped reading for almost a year 0_0
+apple jacked That's exactly what I did! I didn't want the experience to end!
SAME, I always do that!
ABW I did it with divergent and Lord of the Rings.
I do something kinda similar but with anime I almost never finish the last episode and I don't know why
me too :o
+Jemmie B like NOOO HARU RIN I DONT WANNA LEAVE THIS UNIVERSE
Me too.
KiTtY cAt yeah, this is me
One of my bad habits is going crazy at the library and getting lots of books, then reading them and then halfway through maybe the second or third one I realize they now all need to be returned before I get fined. Then I have to return the book while it's half finished, as well as all the ones I never even started...
sigh...
sophie ultra-super Me too
i did that with divergent, which ive got again but still have not read it yet heck
same
It's possible that ruined nostalgia is the worst feeling of all time
I often jump off a cliff or purposefully kill myself in games. I don't know why.
it's practice
Brandon Tytler Me too XD
this was a terrible joke I had to make I'm sorry I don't mean it personally it was just set up right. (I also kill myself in video games too)
Marya E I didn't even get it, but okay!
oh this was meant to brandon, i forgot i posted it till your comment showed up sorry for that confusion haha
My bad habit... Procrastination... probably what you may deem Dan Howell level procrastination if not a smidgen worse.
THE LUIGI'S MANSION MUSIC IS IN THE BACKGROUND I'M IN LOVE
+King Oddly YES!!!!
fun tip:
to avoid self-inflicted game incompletion, try skimming through walkthroughs on the internet to refresh your memory so you don't have to start the game over
Oh the empathy on every aspect of this video.
I was a bit mesmerised by your hair in this video.
He has werewolf hair.
I had hardly noticed until I read this comment, but now...woah o.o
I was trying to check out his hair but i was captivated by his eyes.
glad it wasnt just me
"Blinded by nostalgia"... Anyone else think of Arctic Monkeys????
No..?
Just me..?
K den
Bowties NCoolnes I think of gta san andreas *eye twitches*
Bowties NCoolnes yess :D
@Bowties NCoolnes that is literally what I thought
I have a terrible habit that I become the character so much that I avoid taking any damage which means that I don't take any risks which basically means I don't complete the game. But that's also why I can complete games like pokemon where you aren't the one fighting. Wow that sounds sadistic.

I once had 2 Wii's...
I lost one....
How could you loose a wii?
i dont know.... honestly
Me too dude
I had a wii and for my only bday present last year I got Mario galaxy 64, I remembered that we only had one wii remote and no numchuks, so my dad bought us another remote and two numchuks,we were really excited to play a real game and not just wii sports and stuff; but when we tried it it turns out the wii itself was broken so we wasted about 200 dollars on that :'(
I have a wii and it works...
My TV does not...
I have the opposite problem with games. Your Outro's So Awesome!

ah pokemon and animal crossing is the worst combination of addicting games!! fun tho :)
I love pj's widows peak😌😌
It makes him look like Edward from twilight. Is it just me?
YOUR EYES ARE SO PRETTY
I will sell my soul to a Crossroads demon for a 3DS XL. I haven't played Pokemon since Ruby & Sapphire in 2005 and it's killing me.
just get a 2ds, it comes in a bundle pack, and is a lot cheaper
I know! But I was debating it, but the style of the 3DS would be better for me! I've done my research! Thanks, though
I have flaw number 3, not with video games, but with books and I just go into this downwards spiral where fiction is more important than reality and I care more about fictional characters and omg the feels THE FEELS DESTROY ME
My God, I do EXACTLY the same thing! Fire Emblem Awakening and Legend of Zelda are still sitting there... ;_; I wish I had the heart to pick them up.
me too
i did the exact same thing with fire emblem awakening i loved the story so much i didnt want to finish it to fast so i stopped and now i just never finished the game
Is it just me, or in this video he looks like Harry Styles???
Oh my God I was thinking that to!!
No you're not I was thinking that too. He kinda looks like Harry sometimes. I am glad it's not just me who sees it lol 😊
yeah he does. Even tho I hate harry I love Pj!
starting over and then realizing how much work you just deleted, yep. that one.
it's such a sad feeling :(
The way he is with video games, LITERALLY is the way I'm with books.
I relate to flaw number 3 sooo much, it's unreal!
I get too emotionally attatched to my support/side characters if they're on my side- but for some reason I choose to like the characters that the video game designers/writers don't seem to care about-- so they either:
A.) Kill them off
or
B.) Just slowly make them disappear from the plot, thinking that no one will notice.
I notice... everytime.. don't do that to me XD
loving the videogame soundtracks in the background
I'm sorry Pj...I love your chill videos and you always have good content..but...i'm sorry but I always just end up staring at your beautiful face for most of the video half listening xD it's okay tho because it makes me watch it couple more times xD
Video game music has a very special place in my heart. The end screen of this video made me so happy :3
i never watch the last episode of a tv-show, because i don't want it to end.

I do an hour before I go to sleep...which is like, 12 in the morning...yeah.
I'm like that with books too, haha. I start reading it, get into it waay too much and rarely finish it. :D
Sameeee!
okay I have something to get off my chest... I did this one time. In year 6 I started reading Harry Potter and the deathly hallows. And then I moved to secondary school and forgot about it. So I still haven't finished the Harry Potter series. I AM SO ASHAMED I AM SORRY :(
Daniel Baker Its been five hours I think its time you finished it godness Daniel AND YES PHAN
metooo! like i just have a problem, i read a geek girl book in 15 minutes (a quarter of a bus journey home from Whsmith) and im reading a book right now and ive stopped reading it for 3 months so i dont have to say bye to the characters xD
I'll sometimes start a game and go days playing it, then when the game is over I think to myself "wow I really liked this game and I'll replay it tomorrow" but then I end up losing it the next day and just forget it.
DAT POKEMON MUSIC AT THE END.
I do something similar in the way that I get really excited to get a game, and when I get it I play it a lot for a while, and then I just kind of fade out of it and end up not playing it for ages, and then wanting to restart it again like you do....
Also. I feel somewhat harassed and entirely ambushed by that unexpected Christmas ball ad. >.
You took the words right out of my mouth, Pj. I literally do the exact same things you do with games. I get so frustrated with myself ugh.
Story of my life. xD
omg that ending though lol "if you want the balls that is." haha! Idk if I have bad gaming habits. Any game I get I always love it. I usually play through it get as much as I can, unlock what I can &then play it again after I finish in case I unlock new things. I only go back to some games though. Dat Harry styles hair
Fail anger - not being able to complete mission/level. Getting so frustrated I hide the game at the back of the game stack, only to find it 2 years later and think 'Oh, haven't played this in a while'... and so the loop begins again.
Did anyone not notice his hair it's amazing I mean it's a ready amazing how it is but still 😄
That last one is me on Sims games because halfway through I just get bored and go - hey, it was fun making this character. So then I make a new one.
How is no body talking about how hot pj looks!!! srly, is it just me?!
Melissa Mario perex he lowkey looks like elvis
Peej your hair makes you look like some sort of villain! It's kinda cute in a villain character way though.
pj, your hair is getting quite long now. I think you should venture into the world of man buns.
I saw your ad on "The Most Popular Girls In School"! I stayed and watched the whole thing and pointed out episodes. I'm so glad you got to make that reel it was amazing just like you. :-)
i sense harry stylerz...
i loved the music in this video...
Peej your hair what

his hands are distracting me
His lips are distracting me
His hair is distracting me
his everything is distracting me
He is distracting me
He is destracting me
I LOVE THE FACT WAY THAT YOU SAY MARIO CART AND I AM BREATHING HEAVilY IT IS GREATLY LUXURIOUS
I do the exact. same. thing! Only with books...and anime... ._. *awkwardly walks away*
So true... my list of books to read and animes to watch (and games to play) grows every hour Dx
Girl, the struggle is real tho :) lol
I'm honestly so relieved that you share my horrible gaming habits. My friend got Pokemon X two weeks after me and she's done already... I haven't fought gym #5 yet...
Apologising on games even when i don't have a mic, or if I kill myself!😂
The stop playing a game for a while and then restarting because you can't remember where you were is my worst gaming habit too! UGH! If it wasn't for my brother, I wouldn't know the ending to almost every Zelda game.
In this video to me he looks like Harry Styles! xoxo
By far one of my favourite RUclipsr
u kind of look like harry styles in this video xx
Oh my gosh yes someone else that prolongs a game I do it all the time
The Pokémon theme at the endscreen literally made me cry tears of nostalgia..
Oh xcom how I'd love to maybe finish you one day.

me exactly
I've seen this video at least 13 times. I don't know why. I just love it
I have the same nostalgia problem you have! All my favorite old games are great! Until I notice how different they are compared to their newer versions...I also have the bad habit of trying to pick up where I left off, not remembering where I am, then restarting only to not have enough time to play. I do the exact same thing I get into it the I stop playing it all together go back into it restart it replay it get bored stop playing and never finish it
"Blinded by nostalgia" just makes me want to play old yellow bricks incredibly loud
I feel you on that last one
I do #3 with books as well. I bought the last book to my favorite series the day it came out, and a year later it's still on my bookshelf, with a bookmark at the end of chapter 1. I don't want it to end!

somewhere towards the middle I got lost in your eyes but then I snapped out of it when you said you hadn't finished pokemon x
I do that too! I don't want things to end SO badly that I stop playing it for a couple days, which then turns into weeks, which turns into months and so on and so forth. I do this with not only games, but shows and books as well. It's the worst.
That muuuuuuusic at the end! :D
you have succeeded in reminding me i have not yet completed pokemon black. see my problem is i start games and love it. then it gradually gets more difficult and/or frustrating and i put it to the side thinking 'i will complete this when i'm less tired or can think straight'... and then i never get back to it again. this is the same for pokemon ranger shadows of almia and guardian signs... i'm bad at finishing games once they start to get difficult
I have never completed a game in my life for that reason. I am SO happy I'm not the only one
When you said you didn't complete Zelda and the Minish Cap I literally shouted "NO PJ NO!!! WHY!" that was personally one of my favorites xD
The minish cap ending was awesome btw.
My bad habbit is shouting at things + flinching! :P Great video!!!!!!
Before long everyone has a maxed out level character and I have started again because I found another class specific quest that I just NEED to do
/sigh
Props for the editing PJ, it must have taken a while ! xD
okay i just ordered a bauble and i will be anxiously waiting by my mailbox for the next 8-10 business days okay
i am goddamned excited
My channel is a gaming channel so whenever I get a new game I always feel guilty about not recording it, so I end up with a lot of them sitting around for AGES. And instead of playing the games I really want to experience, I end up playing stuff like Minecraft, Banished, Sims 3, and Skyrim. I recently played Dishonored without recording it, and I absolutely LOVED it. But I feel bad for not recording it, because I liked it so much and I think my viewers would've enjoyed it too.
Also, not saving. I always forget to save and it sucks.
