They said "This was all written by him" during Armstrong's speech. Incorrect. He simply took Armstrong's actual dialogue and changed a few words to fit his meme plotline. He *really* didn't need to change much.
Pretty sure the meme plot line is the main plot line. This is the memeir plot line.

Worst of all, the english dub is the og one, and the japanese one is more serious , it doesn't sound as chessy and raiden's voice actor is not as cringy, not a batman wanna be, but the reaper part is still cringe
@@xXGabrielTrapXx the Japanese is worse. The over the top nature is part of the scene, reducing that is not a good thing.

@@johnj.spurgin7037 It's not really that close tbh, in the actual game story Armstrong was an individualist, and believes in "freedom" only so far as that he is a social darwinist and believes that might makes right and that society should be ordered in a way that favors the mighty to rule over the weak. The "freedom" he wants is the freedom for the strong to do as they will upon those who are weaker than they are. He doesn't believe in liberty for the sake of liberty or to promote human flourishing, he is the neoliberal belief in competition being the deciding factor in all things taken to the absurd degree.
Whereas in Maxor's world he wants to end laws and censorship so he can do whatever he wants online (aka say the n-word lol)

You can see how the way he speaks changes as his editing improves, that's because he's becoming less and less human as his videos are uploaded

Fun fact, the random Japanese line from Armstrong was absolutely NOT what the subtitles said. It was actually 「情報戦の邪魔だからな」(jōhōsen no jama dakara na) which means something like “It’s a distraction from information warfare.” You know, because the subtitles were exactly that.

@@MonsieurMaskedMan Never heard the JP line, I was just taking a shot at explaining the on screen joke subtitles and the overdubbed Japanese they pretended to translate.
Okay so, Jimothy Ross, the guy who voiced Sundowner can actually be heard saying “I really hope none of this (his lines as Sundowner) is taken out of context” and after quite a few jokes Max0r puts a flash on the screen that says “this is a joke, do not take it seriously” like he did after the “several tonnes of crush force” joke. Also Gianni, the guy who voiced Senator Armstrong, is a VA and a professional shitposter and yet Max0r’s script was so hilarious he couldn’t keep his cool reading it lmao. Search up some of Gianni’s stuff, they’re gut busters.
Only our favorite editing software could break a professional shit poster.
I kinda want him to do a series on guilty gear lore. Because that is genuinely a cognito hazard. It includes an AI stuck in the backrooms, that debate lords itself to believe humans don't exist. A british dude saves the world by convincing another person who has the same social security number, that femboy and futa are based. A dude who is so bad at communicating, that everyone thinks he made the Japanese go extinct. He actually just wants to start a podcast on the moon. And the least weird thing, a man who makes weapons to kill gods for fun.
I have no context for this, and I do not want any.

The best part is that the real story is just as batshit crazy. Id tell you what happens, but 1. I don't think you'd believe me, and 2. You'd probably enjoy playing the game for yourself
It was worth the whole 28 minutes just to see Michael's eyes widen for the crush force/sister/step-dad joke.

btw if you guys haven't played metal gear rising revengeance then I would highly recommend playing it.
it is just as chaotic with the story as max0r made it seem. but the fights and music is just amazing.
He really seemed to like this game. I on the other hand got an aneurysm every time a new boss appeared and decided to pummel me for like a day or so. Especially the guy who died of cringe drove me crazy, back then :-)
Fun fact: when Raiden breaks into "nasi", the booth guys magazine isnt edited and the actual audio ingame is set in his mind so its ever so painful to watch
you guys should just straight up react to the music in this game, the songs are all bangers and basically tell the motivations of the villains.

The fun part it's that the original plot for this game is just that chaotic, but crazy fun
That senator Armstrong speech was only slightly edited by Max0r.
because this is a Hideo Kojima game, the names are as subtle as Max0r's editing, such as the final boss, Strong-Armed politician Senator Armstrong
I recommend anyone to check out the boss' theme music, especially our two actor reactors, since I can see them really enjoying it. Such a blast to have blasting into your ear whenever you're feeling particularly active.
Work out has never been any more fun with "It had to be this way" filling the room.
I think these two are more reactive to Max0r's videos because of the Voice acting involved in the videos and the acting background Zack and Michael Possess. Am I wrong?
As much as I like Max0rs edits, the original script of the game is waaaaayyyy more fun.

I feel as though even he realises that he can’t top the original dialogue, so he took that as a license to be batshit insane.
Though, another video on Metal Gear Rising popped up that resembles his editing style, where he even played as Monsoon. I feel that video did a better job than his own.
Still love Max0r though, I just think he went a bit TOO crazy on the editing and the creative liberties on the general themes of the game.

I just realized (maybe a little late) if you HAVENT played or seen the game before watching this video, you could think the dialog is "made up" or "a parody", but in fact the dialog is very close to what it was originally... like a _lot_ just older references.... wich is crazy because this video is totally unhinged chaos to begin with lmao and all that you could not know that the "real" or "original" history of revengence is as batshit crazy as it seems

I think most people mean that the structure of the dialogue is very close to the original, not the ideas behind it.
@@garr_inc I am yet to meet anyone who is talking about structure (especially considering that it's something that Max0r did for most dialogs in his videos about this game. It just doesn't make any sense to point out Armstrong as something special), and saw plenty of people talking about ideas. (hence this sentiment always goes hand-in-hand with "They made twitter into a real plotpoint!")
