I'm not planning on getting A:SA any time soon, as I want to see how WC decides to go with patches and updates. If they keep up with fine-tuning over the months, this could be the timeless classic that A:SE deserved to be. Meanwhile, I'll be living through videos like these. Thanks for the uploads Rampy!
Honestly I think that is totally fair. ASA clearly has a lot of promise, but it needed more time in the oven. I completely respect and understand why people would rather watch from afar and see that Wildcard do a good job with the updates and patches before buying it themselves!

@@Rampy the specs needed to play this are kinda laughably high, and I'm not going to buy a remaster of a game i've spent 200 bucks on just to play on min graphics
Now this is the reason I love the gaming community. The genuinely good people who will support the game forever, even if they never buy it themselves for one reason or another.
oh god the building in this game is SOOOO QoL i swear, finally feels good to build! no more leftover pieces dont end up using and have to grind!
Just condensing the doors windows and walls together is a massive improvement

Storage boxes can align to walls and there's a snap mode that lets you stack em too.

Pretty sure that the baby Phioma was level 142, because its mutated, it had a purple color as well I think.
It's so cringe to hear people complain about foliage amount and size. Especially when it goes away forever near your stuff when you create bases... etc... It looks natural and real. It's not just a wide open long range game anymore where giant dinos are going to be kings.

Fair enough, ASA isn't extremely optimised right now, ye either need the most optimised PC in history to play at high - high medium settings, or just have an absolute unit of a desktop to power through the lack of optimization.

...I mean, that's how I always get started, a small pack of poison spitting guard "dogs" is super useful for hunting and self-defense

I really hope they add these:
- Stone Sickle (early game version of metal sickle)
- Fiber-Rope Window Mesh (to place in your windows as an alternative to window hatches, let's light in but keeps throwables & small dinos out)
- Short Railings (there is quarter-foundations & quarter-walls but the regular railings are too long for those)
- Furniture Variations (like for example when you craft a chair, you would get 3 or so variations of chairs to choose from when you are about to place it) (same for tables & such)
- More Furniture (different type of vases, fiber-mesh curtains, wool/pelt curtains, wool/pelt rugs which u can choose different shapes and sizes in,...)
I also hope they nerf:
- The amount of prime meat you get from baby dino's
- The loot drops, while still keeping them good, but right now they are CRAZY OP
- Different Window Variations: wide windows, large windows, long windows, small windows, rounded windows (nonagon or decagon shaped)
definetly an underated channel i always loved survival evolved with 100 days but 100 days on this will be mad and rip cera

OH ALSO parent dinos will get aggressive at you if you attack their babies! approaching them (if the dino isnt normally aggressive anyway) is fine but attacking them will even have paras attack you. i saw a dilo get fucking owned by a mother para whos baby it attacked lol
and then normally the parasaurs run from compies lmao
the compies prolly attacked the mom directly in which case i tihnk that behaviour triggers, but had they attacked the babies theyd still get attacked by momma para i think @@mistypikku

very bold of wildcard to promise a free remaster and later provide us THIS. it does look promising yet seems like it's extremely raw on optimization. people with high-end rigs complain about being unable to play this on high with good fps. considering lots of players have outdated rigs, we'll have to see. and no balance changes is just dumb, like cmon we'll add 99 new berries but no balance changes
I think the babies work similarly to the Wyvern eggs. Just one parent, set to their level.
I cant wait to get a good crossbow out of a blue drop without getting hundreds of medium crop plot bp's. 😂

like the game is great running on medium graphics note my gpu is a 3060
My PC is bit outdated and can't run ASA well so im sticking with ASE for the moment, hopefully getting a new pc sometime next year, the game looks amazing on a good rig tho. Looking forward to the rest of this series and the 100-days coming!

Seem like some bushes are flickering, probably because the game default setting is using 75% resolution scale instead of native resolution.
Your screen was flashing red for AGES lol. You just weren't paying attention when you were dehydrated. I actually thought you noticed and didn't care cos you were dehydrated so long

I want to enjoy the game, but all of the official servers were bugged and wouldn't let me in. I don't know if any unofficial ones are up yet.
As much as i want to just chuck my laptop thru the window and get a machine that can run this hella Smooth i dont think its within my budget anytime soon lol
Best to wait and see what patches they come out with. They HAVE to optimize the game better

Just got it runs 45 max I got was 51fps but it is smooth so sketching yet 15 10400f and rx6750xt and 24gb 2400mhz
ASA currently looks very promising and i plan on getting it as Ark is one of my favorite games. But i am worried that they'll get too greedy and mess up the game. What i want from this game is a mix of new and old and for the power scaling of new dinos or items to not over shadow other creatures.

I bought ark ascended but I have a lot of fps problems that I didn't have at ark 1. I tried to lower graphism but without great result. I am a bit sad. I hope that the game will be lighter and easier to access.
It might get better in the coming months with patches. Sorry about that :(

for early access, the game is really good but Steal has many bugs.
If it was Early Access of a brand new game people would say it was great. As it's based of a remaster though people expect more and I completely understand why
I really think ASA is cool but I don't think I have the device processing power and also I could just play ASE because I have all the DLCs

It's not a perfect game and I think it has been rushed out. That being said I think it looks visually pretty stunning. 6 months of updates and I think we're looking at a classic

My brother tried using my old 1050 ti setup to run ark sa and he said it would crash on the character creation screen 😂
i heard wildcard and nintrado wont allow to rent servers anymore..? is that true? so we cant rent from gportal or nintrado?
You can rent a private server from Nitrado but that's it. Can't host on your own machine or a cloud without tether distance. It's not good at all

Raptors Evolved will be back with Ascended, baring anything crazy. ASE is currently uninstalled so it's unlikely at this point in time but who knows, I want to beat Extinction with Raptors so depends how long until we get that Map

Putting it out there the game is boring or addictive, there is no pleasant experience from this once you're 30 minutes into the game

My game crashed 3 times on singleplayer after only 90 Minutes of playtime, also by the way I dont think its automatically saving anymore as I lost 40 minutes of progress after the last crash and of course I forgot to manually save as Im not used to it...
So far Im having a really bad experience with it, I have a lot more pros and cons, but I dont think anyone is interested in that. ^-^"
i will probably get this game when aberrration comes out. by then they will have likely done some optimisation work, dino tlcs and some more qol stuff. also the game would look very cool on ue5 aberration. i do have to say, the game looks far too saturated in some areas, i muight have to fix that with modded shaders

While Asa looks and feels like an upgrade in every aspect of the game, I'm not going to buy it right now because I have a slight fear that WC are not going to focus very much on optimization and in the current state of the game my pc is just going to explode

This game looks really weird ngl. Like I can see a huge improvement in texture quality, shading and even foliage density but somehow it looks less realistic and more cartoonish. I think it's oversaturation but honestly it's hard to tell.

honestly, i agree. the game looks way to saturated with bright green, theres not many dark jungle shadows like the original game. everything is so bright. since it's a steam game though, there is an app that can change the shading for your game, and increase and decrease gamma
I've thought at times stuff looks a bit too cartoonish myself. Can't quite put my finger on it though. I think the new characters don't help....

honestly i was hyped for this game but when i see that all those system requirements went for plants in so monstrous amount that i cant even see the ground instead of better rendering of further lands (it just looks plain and ugly when looking at islands with no fog or something) and creative tlcs/remasters of creatures that are mostly boring for ark veterans my hype instantly died out
