Umm quick question when you were killing the alpha raptor I could have sworn I saw the alpha raptor gain the parental buff
FYI, to be able to spin forges around (and other things that don't offer rotating snap points), hold Q down to turn off snapping. It'll give you the free placement like it used to, including letting you spin it in place after you pop it down before you finalize placement. Hold Q to turn it back on for the next item you want to snap.
I'm really, *really* loving the new building features, personally. I can't wait to see your reaction when you go to set up water for crops and electricity, hopefully it's caught in a video for RUclips and I don't miss it since I don't have time to watch streams!
Saddles will need repaired they take damage from being attacked also right click to track an engram requirement to builds it shows a list of materials on the side of your screen
Probably be a good idea to carry a spare.
Saddle damage is a visual bug and doesn't have any affect.
Really pleased to hear that Nitrado has at least rolled back some of those restrictions, it was absolutely absurd and wildly counter-productive if they wanted to make money. It's ultimately a shame that Snail is as greedy as they are, and WC is all but caught in their trap. It hurts that the best way to help the devs is to just...refuse to give Snail what they want, which is cash. The only way to make companies like that listen is by hitting them in the wallet - it's just a real shame it often ends up hurting the devs in the crossfire.
Anyway! I really like how A:SA seems to actually encourage slower play now, and not just because of the reduced rates. Having to stop and look, listen, for the things around you adds a more exciting layer and helps it really feel more like a survival game. I do wish that the Island had more balanced levels on creatures, though I guess it does make those rare high level spawns all the more exciting to find.

This is such an entirely new experience compared to ASE, though I think I’m going to hold off on getting ASA until it’s more optimized. I’m blown away by the visual differences, and the subtle tweaks such as the grass disappearing under placed structures, armor getting visually worn with durability, the beautiful fog, the ~water physics~, and even just the terrain clutter and taller walls are a godsend. My single, and I mean SINGLE complaint, is that it’s visually overstimulating to the extreme… I’m willing to tough it out though ;) Keep up the good work, Rampy! ❤

Auto-farming dinos will auto-farm until I believe 75% encumbrance.
Also, earlier when you were attacked by a Phiomia, it was because you hit their baby.
so its no longer 50% like in ASE?
@@Sacredarrowable ASE was the same as ASA in this regard. I just don't remember the exact number. It's before the non-sprinting stage of encumbrance so that when they hit the last thing, they are less likely to be over-encumbered when done.
Therizino was a herbivore it used the claws for pulling the tree sticks closer

Watching Rampy struggle with the forge xD Push and hold Q to release the center snapping. Then you can "snap" it to the wall facing the correct direction.
I’d rebound Q so it wasn’t an option! This is now fixed :)

Originally it would be Q to turn off snapping but you rebound that to a whistle so you are gonna have to bind it to something else to be able to turn off snapping
We used to raise sabers in the ice cave so that they could fit.

Please turn on your Heads Up Display. It would have saved you the frustration of not knowing which button to press for snaps/rotations. Plus, I like seeing the health and food/water numbers and location/temperature. =)
The problem with the snapping is because u bind Q to a different thing so u don't have a key bind for rotation or disable snapping I had the same problem
I like listening to the dossiers, no problems here. David Tennant does Rockwell superbly
I just want to tell you that using narco berries instead of narcotics is actually more efficient for keeping dinosaurs asleep
If you hold Q while placing down a forge it disables the snap
Passive dinos attack if they have babys from what ive seen in my games. Have had lystros nibbling my toes
@Rampy I believe the reason you are doing more damage to the Alpha raptor on the Argy is you're landing hits on the head.
Remember to scrap those metal behemoth gates
Dinos eat the least desirable food first when already tamed - carnivores hate veggie cakes but can eat them. Therefore, they eat them before meat.
It says to press E to rotate, and hold E for Full Alignment Mode at 31:43 don’t know if you tried that already or not
Press E to rotate object and hold E to un snap I think it should show you when you don’t have the furnace on any surface at the bottom.

With the saddle durability, I’ve heard that the devs said it’s actually a bug in the game and that they’re not supposed to have durability.

Lots of fun watching, as usual. I laughed when the Argent ate the sweetcakes. I guess i know not to do that now. Haha. Ive only ever played single-player and Ive only been playing for little more then a year. It will be a new experience for me to play without cryopods. And that ice cave, idk. I like to use a flock of dimorphs in all caves. I turn the maturation rate down to make sure I can imprint them. Just cant forget to turn them back or yikes. I dont know what else to take into that ice cave though.
I wonder if arthropolra will shred saddles like the shred armor

since there's no cryo's thymus are going to be the best tame for PVE travel since they can be picked by an argy and can take down pretty much anything on the island

there is a super spyglass mod on the mod thing and it works, i think it might help with the raptors 100days unless you wanna play vanilla.

The damage difference with the alpha was between head damage and body damage

I think the more damage on the alpha raptor is because you where hitting its head i think headshots on specific animals are possible with dinos now

I'm not sure why it's not showing the snapping and rotation option for you. I wish I could send you a screenshot of it. to disable snap, hold Q. to enable snap, press Q. To rotate, press E. To rotate with full alignment, hold E.
I like the current rates. Seems More realistic
Also the phiomia was a parent and you killed it's baby so it attacked you
they dont actualy know if its a omnivor or a hebivor they just are goin on it b eing one because its closest realatives were also plant eaters
When you tried to place the forge on grass it said hold e to exit alignment snap mode I think
Babys have wild mutations 🤔 but do they grow up after some time. If so, you should have adult dinos with ready mutations 🤔

I do like the rates being slow. Forces a bit more strategy (like your brilliant move to use anky for berries to tame the theri)
You could maybe go 2x-3x in later game when trying to make 30 ascendant saddles. But I still like the forced strategy (settling for 30 mastercraft instead of 20 ascend) of slightly slower rates.

Finally bought the game yesterday, but I've been having crashes. I lost multiple dinos, and even quite good loot from an alpha raptor cause of that. Sometimes I crash after 5 minutes which is no biggie, but I lost an hour progression because of said crashes. I started to save the game every minute, but even that is not enough, and I get rolled back quite a bit. Not sure if I want to continue like this.
It will becoming better every week. Game has been rushed it's clear to see sadly, but they are working hard to improve it. Servers are so unstable though I would stick to Single Player for now!
I’m still waiting for the bloody console version
I am playing on SP, and most crashes happened if I opened either the inventory or engram window. Oh well, I know it can just get better, but frustrating to lose hours of progress because of it.
In real life theri's were herbivores in fact their claws were evolved to aid them in reaching leaves it was the same reason that the claws of a sloth evolved for

Torpor build up from berries is way slower than from narcotics, so for taming feeding narco berries is usually prevered

I just realized, how are you going to get the Artifact OTS (Of The Strong) without Cryos What Creatures are you going to be able to use
Also forgot to say That Creatures can headshot wild Dinos now so that’s a thing
They removed the choke point so you can walk some Dinos in there now! Maybe it’s a direwolf army type job

I do yes, I just don’t want to turn it on at the moment. This is how the devs think the game should be played so I’m going to give it a chance

I know ASA just came out and you're still exploring, but you REALLY need to do a 100 days with only Beelzebufos, they are extremely underrated. I have my specific one I use as a mount, and 4 others following me around with high health and melee. Their attacks are very fast, they can even shred through a Giga and Alpha Mosa without a sweat.
Hardly any dinos spawn in this game

I'm not having them personally! My game rarely crashes although the servers I play on often go down. This gameplay is done on single player thankfully

The ice cave entrance has been increased to around paracer size.

Rampy i wouldn't mind if you turned them up to like 4 times or so. It just makes things a bit quicker so you can spend more time actively doing things rather than grinding
