Hey Guys!!! Thank you all so much for tuning into this tutorial! I truly appreciate it! I’ve since changed a few things about the process of creating this hat! UPDATE🚨 You do not have to turn your work(it was just the way I learned it) 😂 Thanks again!❤
Great job. ❤❤ Tips: When crocheting in a circle, it’s called rounds, rows are straight across, like for blankets. Instead of the D for double crochet, it’s normally dc, sc for single, hdc for half double, tr for treble, dtr for double treble and sl st for slip stitch. You don’t have to flip your work when working in a circle. I think it’s causing the boxy look. Keep up the great work. New subscriber. Here to support and help. I’ve been crocheting for over 40 years.
Hi and. Drea!!! Thank you for posting this tutorial. I plan on making one tomorrow. You do a very good job at explaining how to crochet and I thank you!!! 🎊
I’ve been following other people trying to learn how to make this hat, it never comes out well. Then someone shared your page with me! I NAILED it!!! I wish I can upload a pic in the comment. It came out beautiful and your instructions were so easy to follow. Thank you so much
I have a question lol I made this hat in black and then i made one using velvet yarn. Both fit my head but now that I’m trying to make one for someone else (using the same method for my hat) it’s tight and small🫠 I need help
love your work i made a few watching your video so tell me how much do you sell this hat and your granny square hats i use both your patterns love them
Just made my first one from this tutorial. Turned too loose. Gonna try again later. Do you have a tutorial for the one you have on in this picture 🥰 i love the color scheme. How do you alternate the colors
@@jenniferbritt3261Ladies…for the base of the hat…to make it fit better eliminate the last row of increases where she does 1 double in each of 4 stitches, then does the increase. Only go to 1 double crochet in the next three stitches, then increase. This will make you hat smaller and hopefully fit better. Hope this helps. Also when she completed 8 rows of one Double Crochet in each stitch , you may have to reduce your number of rows to get a better fit for your head prior to beginning the ruffle portion of the hat. Always try on your hat as you go to get an idea of how it is fitting. Hopefully this helps!!!
I'm so excited about the way you demonstrated your construction of the hat,!!! I made one but I didn't get the crown of the hat right. So watching your video I know what I did wrong. So I took it apart and I know it's going to be awesome, Thank you, thank you again I say Thank you,,,
Hello I into ruffles hats and yes I love love this color am now on the top of a Rasta colored hat and will use the dark green I don't make the three rows of 3 in the STS but I do make 2 sts in the last rows and my customers love it so am going to make three rows of three sts in each sts around thanks
Great tutorial. One tip for you…the reason why your hat is so boxy is because you flip your work. You don’t have to when you’re making a hat! I have this same purple yarn. I’m going to make one now!!! Thanks so much!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Hi I have made several hats watching your video. Your video was so easy to follow. Thank you. I wanted to know can you make a video making the ruffle hat with the spider web thank you
I'm giving you two thumbs up I made your cardigan it turned out very well and I did your hat it is beautiful and I did it in the gray like a whole bunch of different grays two thumbs up, you give good diractions❤
Hello. This was a great video. You did a great job instructing. I have a question. Ive watched 2 other creators make this hat and they didnt turn their work. Is this a preferance or does it really change the structure of the hat?
out of the patterns yours is the best i will be posting when i get off work one question i have to make one for a 5 year old girl how many increases i do and how many dc rows i should do ? love your work
Great video... I'm just wondering why you are turning your work when starting a new round? As you are working in the round there is no need to turn as doing so creates the ridges you see in your work. Slip stitching and chaining upprovides height and begins your next row. Also "Magic Circles" are a different method from the chain circle. In the end you creates a beautiful hat and that's what's up♡
It’s so cute. thank you for sharing your hat. So far it the best that I have seen. I’m going to try to crochet your hat. Love the hat especially the second one you show after the video. ❤
Making my first one. Tried so many videos. My yarn is even fluffy now cos of restarting and unravelling it but thank you for this. I'm almost don't. I have 2 more rows of the ruffles to do and it's done. Now it's not perfect but it's coming along so cute. And using this tutorial it only took me a little over 10 hours. Mind you this is my first official complete crochet project. ✨ I can't wait to retry it... When my fingers have healed 😭
Thank you!❤️ So I’ve done acrylic and cotton yarn hats..Me personally I prefer the acrylic, I think the whole sun it doesn’t make it as hot as one may think..but i definitely prefer to use the acrylic ❤️
@LeCrochetbyDreaNicole Thank you for replying to me. Ever since I made an acrylic halter for a trip to Jamaica for a friend, I try consider seasons and weather.
Do you count the ch 2 in every row like u did on the first row? To explain what I mean…in first row you put 2 dc in each stitch which made 24 then the ch 2 made at the beginning made 25 and the 13th dc made that row have 26 stitches.
No worries! I know it’s super frustrating but I can not even count how many times I had to take this hat apart and start from scratch! 😩 Try again and pay attention to your increase rows ! That’s likely where something went wrong, That was the case a lot of times for me❤️
Omg thank you for reading and responding. I tried again and I got it!!! My head is a little smaller so I’m trying again with reduced rows. This video helped me tremendously. Thank youuuuu!!!

I have made two so far and the more i watch the ruffle hats am tempted to make more ruffles like 5rows so will send you a pic thanks
I love this pattern. I changed it slightly for the ruffles by using 2 rounds treble crochet instead of 3 rounds of double crochet.
Like that!!❤️❤️

Can the hat come down more on the head? If so would I crochet two more rows before adding the ruffles. Thanks
Yes! If your need a little more length just as as many rows as u need..no increases tho❤️
Ok. Thank you

When crocheting the ruffles. Add the end of each roll. Do you change the direction of crocheting?
