Thank you everyone that shared their work. It was so nice to see so many beautiful ideas. Thanks also for showing the different ways of finishing scrolls. I love watching your videos.
Thank you everyone who shared their samplers, it was lovely to see what people do. It was also really helpful to see the different ways to fix the band samplers to a bobbin, so thank you too, Sarah!
Absolutely lovely!!! So much inspiration amongst our group!! I've not yet started mine but definitely looking forward to it. Thank you so much, Sarah!!❤
Loved seeing everyone else's work too, I have a long way to go before my work is as perfect as theirs and yours! You are a wonderful and inspiring teacher. Thank you for showing how to attach to the reel and how to make one too!
I'm going to try using velcro so thanks for the tip to put the hooks on the reel so they don't stick to my clothes when I'm working on it... that would get on my nerves. My favourite method is that one you made with elastics and I think I could use hair elastics for that. This was a very enjoyable video and it's great to see all the different ways of doing things. I love the way you have used the wee lengths of chain stitch to neaten an edge and the double layer of herringbone is good too. Thank you so much for all your hard work and inspiration Sarah and thanks to your cameraman too.
Thank you for sharing these fabulous ways to attach a snippet roll to a bobbin! I always bring the backing fabric up around the bobbin and secure it to the stitched surface which can be a bit tedious at times. I will try these alternatives!
Thanks Sarah! Great info and beautiful pieces created by everyone. I love the idea of the elastic and being able to hang it up. I enjoy your videos so much. You are a wonderful teacher. Hugs! 💕🧵💕
I have been LOVING this slow stitch project. I assembled quite a long one along with curated fabrics and threads and filled it quite rapidly as I was obsessed and couldn't put it down! I couldn't possibly have had more fun making it. I loved seeing all the samples that people sent in. So beautiful and inspiring as are all the Sarah-made samplers. I somehow missed where to send pictures or I would have sent pictures of mine too. I did a little tidying of edges to finish but left them raw as I love the look. I am also leaving the back uncovered as I hid all the thread ends between the two layers so it's "finished" and the story on the back is as beautiful as the front. Thanks so much, Sarah, for this fantastic project.
As a tailor I dont think I'll ever quite come to appreciate raw edges! 😆 If I had to pick a favorite, I would probably say Marj's sampler. The styling was very elegant! 🎉
Hi Sarah. Your videos are amazing! I love learning from you. I’ve been doing all sorts of crafts all my life, so it’s such fun to learn new things. I looked at your shop & I’m wondering if you ship to the US & if you don’t, I’ll look & see where I can buy some of the beautiful & different threads you sell. Thank you again for sharing your God-given talents with us.
Speaking of corners: I have yet to see someone do a decent job of turning a corner using herringbone/chevron/cretan stitch... :) And I've watched all my teachers here on RUclips (whose work I truly appreciate & have learned everything I know from) but no luck... Solution: I avoid these situations or throw in some straight stitches & that's it. That said, I love your videos & have watched them for over 8 years ... Thx for everything you do!!! 😊
It was lovely to see other peoples samplers, wonderful stitching and great inspiration. Than you everyone for sharing. Thanks Sarah for the different ideas to attach your sampler. Off to start on my second sampler now.😍
Loved seeing everyone's samplers. Mine isn't finished yet, in 3 pieces to be joined together. It's rolled up but I want to get a wooden reel. Loved learning all the stitches with you. Great tutorials. I'm enjoying slow stiching, not tried it in a hoop yet.
I just watched this one and will watch again and again! It would help to show us how to put the fabric on the square frame with the tacks. Also please show us the entire length of your project on the black reel. The projects from others were fabulous but were shown too fast to see the different pieces they stitched. Thank you!
Hello Kay, thank you for watching! We have a video all about stretcher bar frames here: ruclips.net/video/-M2YnDUx5KQ/видео.html If you'd like to see the pieces for longer you can pause the video at each of the projects. J.
I’ve recently discovered your channel and this project which is just what I needed. I love the approach, thank you for all your work on this. I have asked to join the Facebook group but my request is still pending, it’s been a few days now.

I can't believe how long the scroll has gotten, and how many weeks it's been since we've started. They both look beautiful.
