- The Orange County Model Engineers (OCME) have built, operated and maintained the legendary 1/8 scale model "Mackerel Flats" and "Goat Hill Junction" railroad in Costa Mesa's Fairview Park for several decades. These ridable trains have provided hours of entertainment for parents and kids of all ages, including the "big" ones who get to work on and drive the trains. This beloved railroad is open for FREE public rides on every third Saturday, and can also be reserved for private parties for a donation. Hello My Friends
What a very cool video. Entertaining and informative. I'll be heading to the railway this weekend for the spring meet.

Amazing hobby/obsession. Hope the young-uns continue to join your club and keep the train culture alive. I was one of the model fliers across the road and our great grand kids enjoyed the train rides. Very nice video presentation!
An amazing organization, railroad and equipment with wonderful people. I can't say much about the scenery though.
I can’t wait to take my family to this.
To me, this hobby is about steam. The maintenance is part of the fun.
I would like to go do work there I use to go when I was a kid I would so be interested to do the palm tree trimming or any more
Great video! Hope I can visit in the future. Thanks for sharing!

I have a suggestion for a new locomotive: a emd F9
This place is amazing. Wish I would of known it was there when I was in the Navy doing time in San Diego. I hope it doesn’t turn into a shit covered homeless camp like everywhere else in California.
