- (Godzilla: Save the Earth - Melee is a fan-made mod project by Godzilla fans for Godzilla fans. Originally beginning in 2021 as a simple "overhaul" of the 2004 game Godzilla: Save the Earth by Pipeworks Studios, STE Melee evolved over the years into an unofficial fully-fledged sequel to the Pipeworks Godzilla games we've all been waiting for! As originally a PS2 game, STEM runs in an emulator, so it can only be played on PC/Linux/Steam Deck. STE Melee has not yet been released, as it's a huge, all-encompassing remaster that includes additional content. There's no estimated release date as this is a completely free project done out of passion. In the meantime, please enjoy these windows into our development!)

This truly is going to be the ultimate Godzilla game!!!!!
Until an official full-fledged Godzilla game is announced, inspired by this one that is. Since we now have Unreal Engines there is plenty of opportunities for any developer. It could be either Toho Games, Passion Republic Games, Bandai Namco, or Pipeworks.

You are all mad lads, and I am LOVING IT!! That was a fantastic presentation of Orga and the Millennium Godzillas! Hot dang--and a good bit of promising new stages, too! Cannot wait to see the next version, whenever that be, swing into full gear!
I've legitimately never been so fucking hyped for a piece of fan made Godzilla content ever then this! Seriously the models, the new moves, everything just looks so utterly fucking awesome! I remember when I was just a little dumbass kid using my grandparents computer, I never had any consoles back then, other then a DS my brother and I had to share and so because of this, one of my favorites pass times was just looking at a crapton of Godzilla videogames, I swear the amount Godzilla fantasy battles I saw was insane to the point that I legitimately don't recall what other things I watched except for other Godzilla, Kaiju related content. And the fact the you guys are doing this out of pure fan passion just makes me respect to all the people who worked on this project, thank you for this gift.

When I see stuff like this it all comes crashing back on me like waves. I remember looking into this project in its early stages and thinking that the talent here seemed genuine, the people seemed fun and I already knew a lot of the big names from classic kaiju content I'd been thriving on for years. Through the years, the project and the community have continued to evolve and change so many times, with new developments at lightning speed and everyone doing their best. I feel like I've seen so many projects that just burn out and crash due to lack of effort, teamwork, motivation, etc. And STEM is the one shining above all of that. No matter what, the gameplay always gets the adrenaline pumping, the textures and lighting are a sight to behold, and the music never fails to get me in the mood to re-re-listen to the soundtrack again. There's such an unmistakable energy to STEM that I truly admire, even if only for a distance. I know I haven't been connecting with the community or discord all that much, I have my life to blame for that. What really matters is that you guys are still going and still being awesome, and maybe someday I'll be able to reconnect with it all, but in the meantime I know this project is and has always been in very good hands. Till next time, I'm still awaiting the day Baragon gets to kick some ass

I guess that leaves baragon, anguirus, mothra, godzilla 90s, king ghidorah, mecha king ghidorah, Moguera and biollante from the base game (not including new monsters)
Don’t be too sure cause their might be more kaiju and that means more kaiju more fun and ultimate Kaiju brawl

I vividly remember playing Unleash as a kid. I did not know what I was doing or was supposed to do. This looks so awesome and it warms my heart knowing there is a fanbase for this game.
It's just incredible! especially impressive are the movie references. Orga and Godzilla looks exactly like in the movie. Well, when I saw Godzilla swimming, and even more so how this model was integrated with Godzilla Unleashed, I just started foaming at the mouth, like in that meme from Avatar TLA
That was EPIC! LOVED FW Goji's inclusion at the end. Can't wait to play this!

I am in love with the updated Godzilla 2000 model and the idea of a skins system. This is what Godzilla 2000 was missing in STE and Unleashed. Not to mention Final Wars Godzilla and Gigan making an appearance. The hype is unreal

Me at the start: there's no way Orga could beat Super Mechagodzilla and Kiryu by himself.
Me after the gameplay: Damn the fanbase made me forget how ridiculous Orga could be if he absorbed enemy's powers, he's a hell of a lot stronger than I remember.

Also, I hope the visuala more accurately reflect the movies. Like Showa Mechagodzilla's eye lasers. Though I can see Orga's shoulder cannon isn't great though. It was just a ball of energy in the movie.
