I grew up in Australia and I feel like ive been to some of these hotels as a child traveling with my parents but I cant really remember but its just so oddly familiar when you show the inside of the rooms

I did tell them at the front desk on checkout, which is why they gave me the owners email for contact. I wanted to give these guys a second chance with the food as it was very bad. I never heard back from them though
It is not like we try to find this kind of situation, but Hotels Know how to be shy when it comes to complaints of food. If we did not complain the training would not be given out to them. Nothing worse then getting overcooked food at quality prices that are not meet.

After removing the classy foil from the food my next move would have been to dial 0 and I would have sent this crap back to the kitchen. when I saw what you paid this is BS

Nicko, you should make an episode of doing a simple dish in the room's kitchen when something like this happens next time! Would be interesting to see :)
Holy crap that chef needs robe sacked on the spot. That prawn and rice dish looked discussing and so did everything else. Like your honesty Nicko tell them they suck! Lol
Nicko, You should of ran with the program and got refunds for food you did not like, Even better, showed us what else you ordered from the menu to replace what you did not think was up to standard !!!!!!
Awww thats a real shame about the food :( I was there in may, my partner ordered the steak, chips n salad it was really nice. I had chicken parm was nice but not WOW lol. Our son had the kids meal which was huge portion but fresh nuggets. We had to order from that other menu too. We paid $180 per night and got upgraded to a two bedroom for free. We were pleased with the abbey n im shocked at the food you got :( I even requested you rated the abbey :( sorry
Interesting place. I imagine the hotel part doesn't have kitchens. Maybe the food is better. Your food looks hideous, however. I wouldn't even eat it. It's embarrassing that they charge those prices and then just blow off your helpful criticism. If I was staying for any length of time I would start looking for some form of cheaper accommodation such as an actual apartment or a house. Maybe I'm a weird cheap $#*&, but the thought of paying over $6000 for a month in that room is making me sick.

the two kitchen do service the hotel. So it was from their kitchens. The rates would be much cheaper though on extended stays

I have been to the Abbey a few times, every time the food has been poor.
They do need to fix that, hopefully this was an off night. Thats why I reached out to them for a second chance, but heard nothing back

I've been here before. Busselton is such a beautiful area. I go down there every year but not Abby!
The food looked pretty terrible there. I love rogan josh, but that looks claggy and thick. The banana split also looks really below average.
