I am a Kenyan living in America, I adopted a girl who was going through a lot to a point of contemplating suicide. I took her in and she is the best thing I ever did love her to pieces. She discovered what she wanted to do in her career and I told her to persue it. She emerged top in her college degree. She’s unstoppable. I am ready to take this boy in and he won’t regret it as long as he ready to follow his dreams and achieve his goals. All the best just incase l don’t get a chance to help him.

If the Minnesota Department of Health Services or CPS gets wind of this and investigates and proves right, someone is going to jail for a long, long time! The child, now a man, is evidently not educated, and someone was probably banking the checks. They took advantage of him and I can guarantee you, the American justice system will catch up with them. He needs to be linked up with the US embassy or his home state of MN and a social worker can help him get some basic resources, even if he wants to permanently relocate to Kenya. I work with these kids daily; some are a success, but some end up in jail or in Dandora... It breaks my heart. All the best though.

The only thing we can do as people, help him to stay in Kenya and he can start something for him self, dont say he need to be in America, coz thats not what he wants, soon as he is better and have build himself and connected good with the family of his adopted parents, he will go back, he knows he may be depressed than he is.
So dont judge his adopting parents.

Lynn Ngugi, please consider interviewing him, and as always, conduct your thorough due diligence to uncover the full story behind this heartbreaking situation. It’s truly devastating and has shattered my heart. It's unbelievable how he was abandoned and forgotten. But I believe that God, in His infinite mercy and grace, will come through for him. He may be at his lowest point right now, but life will soon turn around for him, and when it does, those who left him behind-whether his parents or adoptive parents-will undoubtedly show up, claiming him.

There was a case earlier this month here in the US about a white couple who adopted this black boy from Haiti. When he became a teenager he started giving them problems. They took him to an American boarding school for difficult kids in Jamaica and abandoned him there. The government of Jamaica shut down the school because of abuse and he had to stay in Jamaica for 1 year in the care of the Jamaican government because his parents refused to come and get him. He made his way back here, but I haven’t followed the story anymore to see what happened.

The interviewer is not very good in interviewing. He didn't ask him very important questions like how did he come to Kenya and with whom. Remember he came when he was still a minor. Where are his documents, how did he end up in the streets. The person who brought him to Kenya should be arrested. If a good samaritan can help this boy get to American Embassy, he will get help. He is an American. He is in the dumpsite for survival. The American Embassy can take him back to America, give him shelter, food and clothing, educate him and he will be stable. He just doesn't know what to do.
