Shame that Raditz only appears in the hour long pilot episode. He could have been a breakout character if the actor decided to stick around.
Rumor has it that the producers axed him because the budget for retaining such a high-tier actor was too much, and they weren’t confident the show was going to make enough money to justify it based on the metrics. But come on, that mullet is awesome! A true shame. And the fact that they just pretended he didn’t exist? WHAT! It took fan outcry to just have passing acknowledgments of him in future seasons!
I can't wait for the 2004 reboot where Raditz is the main character!

I agree with you Masako on everyone of these designs. Some of these are spot on while others are waaaaayy off. Spike up Raditz’s hair and he’s perfect. Too bad we didn’t get Launch cause I would’ve loved to have seen what she would look like.
Which I'd argue makes it better, since 90s live action adaptations would do stuff like that.
Based off Bulma and 18, she would've been very accurate and also gorgeous!

All of these looked cursed, yet somehow Raditz, Nappa and the androids look pretty good.
Especially Raditz, he always looks great. Raditz could pull off any look easily and look great.

In the multiverse Turles: Hey Vegeta guess who's going to be a brother in law.
Raditz, Lapis, and Lazuli look absolutely PERFECT!! As for Roshi... this interpretation of him makes him look like a 90's Coca-Cola Santa Claus. I'm not okay with that, cuz Roshi needs that touch of beachfront-retiree that this depiction just lacks. Nappa looks amazing, and Gohan looks as though he just broke out of the Saiyan pod. Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Tien... need a bit of work, but Hugo Weaving as the Prince and what looks to me like David Hasselhoff as Goku is pretty hilarious.
Krillin... just... no. Just no. Here, he looks as though he got hit with triple-lethal dose of the Joker's laughing gas mixed with a touch of Scarecrow's fear toxin. It just looks *WRONG* in all the ways that matter.
As for Frieza... to me, this depiction of Frieza isn't the space emperor we meet on Namek, but instead, it feels as though I was looking at our no-longer-evil captain from "Revelation F", as if he'd just got through arguing with Cheraz over something. Absolutely has those Power Ranger vibes, though, and i love it all the more for it.

And yeah, this is fun and I'm glad they got Raditz in. I'd love to see Masako do an interpretation of him (and the others) in this style, heck, Raditz would likely be kind of similar to his "Good Raditz" counterpart, doing headlocks with his brother and such.
And also, I want to see what movie/show this version of Bulma originated from because this version looks so interesting, it almost feels like a fusion between Bulma and Launch. And yeah, the androids look pretty faithful and I could buy them as live-action counterparts even today.
Not going to lie but wow that freza deign looks realy intresting. Also i love how raditz jaket pefectly represents his armor without being armor. Without being actual armor aspeacial the brown color and lines.

The first episode would be Raditz and his friends coming over to stay at Kame House (which would also likely be the name of the series). There’s also an episode of Krillin trying to get with 18 and 17 threatening him.
I loved that gohan image l. For me that was my fav. IT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER IF HE DIDNT SPEND HIS LIFE STUDYING GODAMN BUGS!!

Goku’s looked good but the hair is off and he looks too serious, and he’s not in Super Saiyan mode. Chi-Chi looks older than she should. Piccolo looks like the Green Goblin from Spiderman with Piccolos clothes. Tien, creepy. Krillin… (MY EYES! IT BURNS). Vegetta… meh, the face throws me off. Gohan… meh. Yamcha, okay but… meh. Frieza… you’re right he looks like a Power Rangers villain. Roshi… Hell No! He looks like Iroh from Avatar the Last Airbender.
That Frieza one is the worst out of them it looks more like Jaco than Frieza if you change up a few colors. And should try all the body variants of Frieza just for fun. As far as Piccolo that one isn't bad for a "Demon King Piccolo"
Could try King Kai, Oolong, Chaosu, Android 16, 13, 14, 15, Eighter., Red ribbon goons and other minor villains etc. Could also try Full power Roshi form. Could try Majin buu as well. And different ages of Gohan (adult too). Kami, Mr Popo etc too. Yajirobi

Can I just say I love Raditz mullet and honestly I think that was the idea with Rossi and I think his look fits. He looks like someone… if you’re a dude who you can go to for advice, and the advice can be helpful but not always.Also hey Roshi can be a decent person just not always.

In fairness, depending on who is drawing Tien, he goes from skinny to an absolute unit. The AI chose skinny Tien and it didn't work. Krillin suffered from too many goofy facial expressions in the reference material as well I think.

This makes me really want to see a full house type of sitcom with the DB cast. Everyone lives in a single suburban neighborhood as neighbors. Goku and vegeta are the dads always trying to one up their neighbors. uncle raditz and nappa respectively (uncle Jessie basically). Krillin lives on the other side of goku and roshi is in his attic. Piccolo lives across the road and just likes to do yoga (meditation) and garden. And whis is a weird guy who lives in a weird house with a 5 foot tall talking cat.
The background of the Piccolo one looks like it put him at an anime convention.
