I definitely wish you would showed how the knife folds back in on itself when fully opened if any pressure is applied . I saw it in a review video and was so let down over it 8-
I like and use mine. I hike often and carry 3-4 different tool to start my fire. I also carry a camp knife and folding saw. This Zippo tool is NOT meant to replace anything. It's a minimalist tool that has fire starting Paracord, a knife to cut some natural threads from your clothing/equipment in an emergency to get that fire started. The grater works really well with my char clothe. I did have a couple of loose screws when I received it but some loctyte and no problem. The striker wheel is getting old, but just like their lighters, I'm sure they'll replace it when the time comes. All in all a good tool as long as you remember it's not a phase plasma rifle in the forty watt range with attached thermal inducer. It's a good minimalist tool that can really start a fire that will change a deadly night into an uncomfortable night so in the morning you can get helped out by that rescue party
I have one, I got it to go in my kit that I carry when hiking. It's just another supplemental way of creating fire in an emergency. Not my first choice if I need to make a fire, but what if my lighter is damaged? The saw and grater help to make tinder. But I have a much better knife blade, but 2 is 1 and 1 is none. As for the other tool, everything needs a bottle opener. ;)
Having redundancy especially for making fire. When you loose your zippo or if you run out of fuel. Get the flint wet etc I could see this being a great fire starting tool. I'd still take a lighter ( a bic because they've cheap and reliable)
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors yeah I would much prefer a zippo. I just can't decide which one I want most. Bic lighters a cheap and reliable but they're not in the same class. Zippos become heirlooms. They never die. And anything that is consumable is serviceable. And nobody can deny they're the best fidget toy. Before and other. I have this tool. To go in my survival kit. It's cool but it's not as good to play with as a zippo lighter. Let's just say if you're into bush craft. Carry a good lighter. Keep your ferro rod or whatever in your pack. If you're not trying to demonstrate how well you can make fire. Why make it harder than it needs to be

Yeah it’s a cool novelty item
Thats a weird difference, my tender rasp is SNUG, I have to use my nail to hook under to pull it out. Maybe theres a way to tighten that aftermarket?
When the flint is out, you can close the grater to lock it out.
Damn im so happy to find your channel. Very interesting 👍🏻
