I am currently using the E3-1231 with 32gb of ERAM and a 1050-TI. I mostly play World of tanks with graphics on max at 1080P. I would love to build a PC using the 8700G it would be a little faster graphics than I am currently using but what i like the most is I will be running my PC at about 1/3 the power so my electric bill will go down I will also be able to run Windows 11 if I so choose. and room wont be so hot. I want to build a pc, I am weighing my options, and here is my hardlines: For sure my system will be AM5-based. Budget is 1200$. So I think if I put this 8700G as a starter, with fast ram like this guy has, then I can afford a discrete gpu like the Rx7700 or even 4700 ti super after 3 months or so after the initial build. So my guess is this CPU is like the 7600x?
Yeah, this is the best case scenario for the 8700g. Fast and expensive ram with a fast CPU. In a more realistic scenario the 1650 will be faster. Its not cost effective as well. As we've seen even the rx680m didn't come to cheaper laptops. Neither has the rx780m. And is it really that impressive beating a 1650 now that its a 5 year old budget card? The more realistic target would be the rtx 3050 6gb at minimum if not the rtx 3050 8gb.

The era of needing a gpu for gaming at a budget might be over
Nope.. 8700g is toooooo expensive to be a budget
if you were on budget you will take discrete GPU over APU any day. you can get something like 3600 combine with RX6600 at cheaper price than 8700G.
@@arenzricodexd4409 well we need to wait and see, maybe they will bring out cheaper ones, also hence I said might be, not that it definitely is

3600 is trash. It has missing cores and threads

u should have tested 8600g vs GTX 1650. 8700g is $100 extra. comparing 8600G vs graphics card makes more sense
There is a video on RUclips about this
cant wait for the 10700G ;D
CPU OC?
nice to see the ac unity in the benchmarks!
It's almost a 10 years old game and it's still being a parameter for testing hardware, impressive.
You can get the same CPU power and much better Gaming power for literally the same price range. I don't see the point of this APU.
Agree, this graphical power while its great to see, it would be much better fitting in a lower price CPU, still great to see
Memory bandwidth is the issue.
Please explain what is that, and is that problem on amd 7 8700g

I would like to see this iGPU in something like a 8500G CPU. A cheap CPU with a better GPU. Just offer us what we actually look for, like real value.
Newer games much optimized to newer architecture like 780M.
25w - 40w not bad
i will buy ryzen 9000 series
