Bell siphons are here to stay in aquaponics, and they are really quite simple. This video I explain how they work and give a few pointers if you are going to use them.
hello newbie here. im about to start my first aquaponics. let's just say I'm going to use this system. is it okay if i don't add any filter ? to be precise mechanical filter to remove fish poo ?.. will the grow media and the plants filter those ?
Hi thank you I enjoy all your videos may I ask can I use 80/20 clay pellets and coco in a auquaponics chop and flip the best I have found is $26 / 50L bag
its much more complex that just this ,water inlet to overflow the standpipe these are the other things to consider but almost on all RUclips videos they don't talk about this, other thing is the water flow trough the bell slits to low it will not syphon to high the water level doesn't drop to low, the bell itself needs to be of surtain size ,then the media guard slits to little or view the water drawn in also effects the syphon effect ,again not discussed ,all these things are factors in a good proper bell syphon ,all you see is a discussion of bell syphon parts NO TECHNICAL ASPECTS!! because they don't know how to explain it.
I will be waiting on your more professional video on bell siphons along with all the mathematical formulas to calculate proper sizing and inflow rates. It’s easy to criticize people, so let’s see you lead by example and put up said video with everything you say this video is missing. What is the name of your channel so I can follow along?????
