I discovered Asaf on the "Dark" series soundtrack, which contains a treasure trove of terrific music. The song that I wound up listening to endlessly was Asaf 's "The Labyrinth Song." Not only does he possess an incredibly singular voice, but his writing has a poetic depth that further distinguishes him.
I’m so glad you’re reacting to Asaf. Over the years I’ve requested reactions from several RUclipsrs who had never heard of him. You should have seen the look on their faces when he first opened his mouth! 🤣 Probably the difference between Europe and North America, too.
I Love watching his performance at any festival but here he is just so connected with the audience. They are not just watching him perform. Its like they are also part of the Show. Excellent reaction Saeed! Thank you! ❤Thank you Rinat🙏
An amazing Festival! Once again, Asaft impressed with captivating lyrics and a breathtaking performance. His collaboration with the musicians and interaction with the audience made it all the more memorable Thank you Rinat 🥀❤❤ for sharing this great performance ! Thank you Saeed 🥀 ♥for a great reaction as always!
The performance, the song, the lyrics - Asaf is the full package! This song is from his album: Through the Gale, which Asaf talked about in his video- 'What is your connection to water'? I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much Saeed for sharing this. I appreciate it❤
This song, explores themes of adventure, freedom, and defiance against the constraints of ordinary life . the lyrics convey a yearning to break free from the mundane, embrace the unknown, and seize control of one’s destiny. The repeated call to "hoist up them colors" serves as a rallying cry to embark on a journey filled with excitement and risk, celebrating the notion of living life to the fullest despite its uncertainties. "cut, cut away" and "let the axes fly" suggest a dramatic departure from the conventional life, indicating a desire to disrupt the status quo. The imagery of "letting the scars of the land far away ashore" points to leaving behind past sorrows or challenges, while "let the swell grow high" embodies the thrill of facing the unpredictable nature of the ocean. The phrase "lucky fools" reflects the idea that taking risks can lead to rewards, highlighting a romanticized view of those who choose to embrace the dangers of life at sea. Additionally, the notion of taking "the fates back to our hands" suggests empowerment and the belief that individuals can shape their own destinies rather than being passive recipients of fate.
What a unique voice!! And the band is awesome, too. I see some Star of David flags in the audience. Is this filmed in Israel, or is he Jewish? Not sure but the song is fantastic. Where's your pirate hat and parrot, Saeed😅. Love your take on the song. Thank you, my dear friend for your reaction and introducing me to this singer. I'm not familiar with him that I can remember. Much love to you and your family ❤️ 🫂.
These are the flags of Israel. The festival takes place in Budapest. Asaf Avidan is a successful and well-known international artist (mainly in Europe). Asaf was born in Israel. He is living and working in Europe in the last 18 years. I recommend you check out Saeed's full reaction playlist and Asaf's songs on his official channel. Asaf is a phenomenal uniquely artist. One in a million❤
Love this performance! Great opener for his show. I see that Rinat already provided you with some answers 😀. Thanks for watching. Much love to you and your 🫂❤️
What I recall from reading about Asaf is that his parents are or were Israeli diplomats and he was raised mainly in Jamaica. It seems to me he has done some interview-type videos and expressed that he tends to be apolitical and nonreligious. I don’t know if that has changed at all.
Totally unrelated, but would love for you to react to one of my favorite One Direction songs in rememberence of Liam Payne. "Fool's Gold" is so beautiful. RIP Liam - the industry should have been better to you.
Heartbreaking what happened to him. Will add that one to my list. I recorded about 17 video's today for requests, and probably wont get to any more . Take care!
@@SaeedReacts.It is, I believe maybe Allen wanted some different kind of country. Randy Travis is a great country singer, or maybe he just missed the other 2 reactions😊 I'm not disrespecting you, Allen. Just thinking what might have happened😊.

@@Skotty1899 The Labyrinth Song is brilliant. I knew of Asaf before I watched Dark, and I can’t remember his music-I may have to watch it again. 👍

YOU HAVEN'T DONE ANY COUNTRY FOR A WHILE- REACT TO THIS ONE - RANDY TRAVIS- "THE BOX"
I a posted a reaction to a song by Patty Loveless yesterday and the day before Kenny Chesney. I thought that was country music.
