I was stationed in Thule Air Base in 1986-7. When you could get away from the base, the quiet was amazing! Also, drop a chunk of iceberg in a drink, it will slowly fizz as it melts. Cool video!
Wow! I can't be more agree. The landscape, snow, the ice, the small village,...everything. You are so lucky guys to have been in the amazing Greenland :) Can't wait for the next video!
This was amazing beyond words! Kristen, the moment you spoke to us about the stillness and beautiful nature touched my soul so deeply. I relate to that very much. I loved the little moments of silence you gave us.
I came across this video and see that it's from many years ago, but I enjoyed it a lot, especially when the girl (Kristen I think) refers to the peace and quiet of the island
This was beautiful guys. You had me at 2:38. We've always wanted to go to Greenland and that's exactly how I imagined I'd feel. Thank you for sharing. -Brian
Great video!! I have always loved living slightly higher north, with it's colder winter, for some of the same reasons you were saying. BUT to experience it like that would be unreal. gave me chills!
Isn't it?! It's my medicine and love of my life. I can't wait to spend as much time in it living in the Airstream. I'm happy to hear you feel the same way I do :)
That little settlement was my favourite part, it's so colourful and cute surrounded by all that snow! And the drone shots were spot on! Hopefully I'll get to visit Greenland one day too :)
Didn't know I missed my home so much until I watched this video 💔😭❤❤❤ and I haven't been gone for over a month yet, and I won't back before the end of July 😅❤ thank you for this video 💕 made me cry
Greenland is worth the trip, but the oldest rocks in the world can also be viewed in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Ontario, and the general Lac Superieur region. Close to 4 billion years as you said.
We just got back last night. We were there all last week. December isn't the typical time to go to Greenland, but I would HIGHLY recommend this month. It's like a whole other world.
I was recently in Iceland as well, and we flew over Greenland and it looked absolutely breathtaking. It just looked so untouched and deserted, like it wasn't even part of this Earth.
Hello! My wife and I are planning on going to Greenland Feb 2019. Did you go anywhere in Greenland besides Nuuk? Where did you come? I'm from New York and unfortunately I can only go from Iceland. I've been wanting to go my whole life and it is on my bucket list!
I would love to go to Greenland! It's my dream. I've already been to northern Norway during winter, but I think that Greenland would be even more interesting!
earlier in the video you mention how majestic and beautiful it is and that we need to not disturb what nature has given us but at the end you guys are eating part of the ice and taking it home with you
+Skankpronger I completely understand what you're saying and where you're coming from. That was my question too (about drinking from the glaciers and icebergs) BUT in Greenland, this is where they get their water from. This is the source and we got the chance to drink straight from it. The people here drink this water all of the time and have for years and year. This isn't the problem when it comes to icebergs melting and getting smaller. We can thank global warming for that.
Soo beautiful! you should watch Mr. Ben Brown's expedition in a russian icebreaker there if you haven't, it's breathtaking 😻 i guess you guys have met him before, lol
You know, that captain? Erik? He has the most beautiful, charming and smart girl working on his boat. Line. Did you meet her? She is a great representative of her generation. I hope you did talk to her and interviewed her.
i would love to go on a trip to greenland and the nordics. there are so many contries i wanna go to and emerse myself in their culture. are there like travel/tour groups i can do for different countries like in one trip? like going to norway then sweden and so on?
Nivikka Dinesen hi! I was wondering what languages were spoken in Greenland? Is English actually spoken there, or would I want to learn another? And what would it be?
Ahmad Ahmadi I wont think that would be a problem:) but unfortunataly u can't take a ferry to Greenland - u have to fly from either Denmark or Island. U can look at Air Greenland website:)
It's the captain, Erik, speaking with his assistant Line. Both are very much Greenlandic people! And also citizens of The Danish Kingdom, yes. You can meet both of them here in this video: www.dr.dk/tv/se/de-unge-groenlaendere/de-unge-groenlaendere-2/
"We need to protect this" The best way would be to leave Greenland and their inhabitants alone. And let them decide how they want to live and run their land. These interventions have created serious distortions in Grenlandic society, what turned once happy and peaceful nation into world's most sad, depressive and suicidal community. Every single family(not exagerating) in Greenland faces depressions, suicides, conflict ridden relationships, alcoholism and many more terrible things because of imposed European values. Western people just don't care. Indian genocide and their current miserable life in indian reservations was a lesson to learn. But Western value pupil missed his class again.
britiw duuude.... 1. Really, every person in Greenland lives like that? 2. Those problems (that EVERYONE now have) in Greenland are now Europien's fault? Sorry boi, I think something is wrong here
Now I know why the arctic is disappearing. American tourists keep eating it.
Hahaha
lol
Yup. All living being have to have nutrients. Hell even tiny organisms need it! Thank you for being an observant human being! 😇

Too much rambling, and not enough of sites.
Ok calm down with being so dramatic
