    If my bottom line goes down 10%, but you're goes down 15%, I won.

That must be why Trump took classified documents and hid them in a bathroom. Or maybe that's why he tried to stop the vote certification on January 6. He was thinking ahead. Trump should pick this guy for some important position. He is for sure qualified.

    What I still don't get is those tariffs were supposed to finance every single costly measure from Don'old. Like he once - very laboriously and infamously - explained, financing childcare support was not gonna be a problem because he was going to make so much money with tariffs.
    But now those tariffs are postponed because target countries promised to do what they're already doing.
    So, what happened to this brilliant strategy? 🤔

    • @Bezaliel13
      @Bezaliel13 14 часов назад

      Of course, not only did he misrepresent tariffs, it would raise prices even in his version.

      I don’t think he promised to do childcare with it. I don’t think he promised to do anything to help regular people out. I might be wrong but I think he just motioned towards making things in the US generally better and… something something somehow that leads to childcare not being a concern.

    • @leparfumdugrosboss4216
      @leparfumdugrosboss4216 10 часов назад

      @BigLeafyTree it's always difficult translating the Weave of the orange felon and know what he promised exactly. My interpretation of this particular rambling is he admitted childcare was necessary and that tariffs would generate so much revenue for the government that it would pay for everything. The "tariffs will pay for everything" part, particularly, which is my point, came back in several of his Weave sessions, so we can consider it as firmly established as something can be when it comes to the Don'old.
      Hence my surprise that he gives up on his main source of financing for 10000 troops and a border czar. It's almost, almost, as if he has no idea what he is doing. 🤔

    The rest of the world just watched Canada counter +rump by sweetening their existing border policy with, "what if we get Clark over there a little hat? Call him The Fentanyl Czar, or something.". Mexico, was far more generous by conceding a few thousand additional border guards, BUT ALSO, one FREE hour of one-on-one economics tutoring. Not just with any old tutor, though. From no less than President Sheinbaum, herself. (As long as she doesn't have to do it in person. That's too much. Over zoom.)
    I guess if +rump's plan was building US pride in being Mexico's, and Canada's neighbor, I gotta hand it to him, well played sir. I'm so whipped up with it, I think Canada should invoice us for the hat. And really go nuts on it. I'm talking embroidery, a tasteful little tassel, maybe. Something nice. We can pay for it with the money we saved on tutoring. I have no idea how much an hour of a President of a country's time is worth, but I'm guessing there's going to be plenty left over for some fancy Czar business cards, stationary, the whole thing's on us. It might have been just me, but I didn't believe he had it in him to get Mexico to actually pay for the southern border, and then this man literally goes and gets them to pay for our northern border too. Man! He really does have a very good brain for 4D alpha chess. Well... maybe. Let's see if pays the invoice. Otherwise, it's almost like he begged Canada for foreign aid, in the most childish way possible. I know he usually struggles with this final step, but hey, he did just get an hour of probably the most expensive tutoring in history. Maybe some of it sunk in.

    A British writer penned the best description of Donald Trump I’ve ever read: And a Message from Canada: Trump - The Little Boy Who Cried Tariff
    “Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?”
    A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace - all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.
    Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing - not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility - for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is - his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.
    Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults - he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness.
    There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.
    And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff - the Queensberry rules of basic decency - and he breaks them all. He punches downwards - which a gentleman should, would, could never do - and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless - and he kicks them when they are down.
    So the fact that a significant minority - perhaps a third - of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:
    • Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are.
    • You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man.
    This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws - he would make a Trump.
    And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created?' If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set.”
    -Nate White

    In Mexico and Canada ask the military in America 2 consume all of its domestic 's tax revenue for the military when it has no enemies it's equal that justifies that large of a military? If Mexico and Canada were asked they would probably say we don't want your gigantic military on our doorstep, you could compare it to Russia, Ukraine and NATO.

    We aren’t trying to control the world. Canada’s prime need is defense of our territorial borders. We will use Canadian forces to protect and benefit others through NATO and the UN. We don’t want to project Canadian Influence into the Middle East, into Asia, into Africa. That’s your thing.
    Still we assist in places like the Taiwan Straight or the South China Seas.
    The US will spend more because they are projecting beyond North America. Beyond NATO.
    How about someone calculating what part of your military budget is for National territorial defense, what part is for NATO. Then compare that with your total budget. I’m betting its very close to our nation defense spending as a percentage of GDP.
