01:31 It's Galilean Moons of Jupiter.
Jupiter and Mars were involved in their closest planetary rendezvous on August 13th, 14th & and 15th. This is called the conjunction of Jupiter & Mars, and such a one won't happen again until December 2033!
The two planets, which are the fourth and fifth planets from the sun, appeared right next to each other in the constellation Taurus for a few hours after midnight & were visible to the naked eye. Jupiter was about 20 times brighter than Mars.
The apparent alignment of the two planets was actually an illusion of a sort because they only appeared to be adjacent from Earth's perspective.
In actuality, the planets were not close to each other. Rather, Mars and Jupiter were more than 300 million miles (or 500 million kilometers) apart. Jupiter is about 3.5 times farther away from the sun than Mars.
However, from Earth, the two planets appeared to almost touch each other, separated by just a third of a degree, which is about half the width of the full moon.
It was a sight to behold & I wanted to share it with you all!
