I captured live Jupiter & Mars Conjunction through Dobsonian 10-inch telescope & Samsung smartphone!
Просмотров 98Месяц назад
Correction: 01:31 It's Galilean Moons of Jupiter. Jupiter and Mars were involved in their closest planetary rendezvous on August 13th, 14th & and 15th. This is called the conjunction of Jupiter & Mars, and such a one won't happen again until December 2033! The two planets, which are the fourth and fifth planets from the sun, appeared right next to each other in the constellation Taurus for a fe...
I captured live conjunction of Moon & Spica on Seestar!

One of the most interesting events in visual astronomy, and certainly the fastest, occurs when the moon occults a star. On Saturday, July 13th, 2024, anyone with a telescope and a clear sky had a possibility to see the first quarter moon either occulting the 1st-magnitude star Spica or in conjunction with it depending on their location. From my location, I was able to witness the conjunction of...

Messier 20 (M20), also known as the Trifid Nebula, is a star-forming nebula located 9,000 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Sagittarius. Messier 20 includes a unique combination of an open cluster of stars, a red emission nebula, a blue reflection nebula, and a dark nebula. All of these elements combine to create one of the most stunning deep-sky objects in our night sky. Its nam...

Hi, can you help me out? I have the same camera with a 8" dob. I can't get the camera to capture any discernable image when I mount it to my eye piece. I see you are using couple of things between the camera and the telescope. Can you explain how to mount this camera properly? Thanks, I am new at this.

I have connected Barlow lens to the camera. You can then mount the Barlow to the telescope from where you view. If you want to use an eyepiece with a camera, you will need an additional adapter in between.

nice! I think these smart telescopes kinda defeat all the fun in manually imaging. I am in a similar situation with my 8” dob. I can’t wait to save enough money for an imaging telescope setup!

I can see how a lot of astrophotographers will agree with you. I do have a tracker and have used my dslr for imagining in the past. I live in an apartment in a moderately light polluted city. I use the Seestar with great results from my balcony. Without the goto navigation I would never find a target because of the pollution and haze. I will eventually upgrade to a scope and astro camera for use in the country. Without the S50 I would have given up on the hobby by now.
