    What’s the difference between a tattooed person and non tattooed person? The person with the tattoos doesn’t care if you don’t have one

      Not entirely true. Assuming non tattooed people are judging you and are narrow minded you do care and make inferences about them. We all make assumptions about people, from the clothes they wear to the cars they drive.

    The realistic answer is: it depends on the type of women. Some women find them attractive, others don't. Simple.
    On a side note, love your sense of humor.

    Tattoos give people confidence. Regardless of it being a male or female.
    I'm a tattooer and I get messages from people I tattooed before thanking me and saying they love the part of their body they used to hate and maybe had some stretch marks or scars or just didn't have confidence in their body and now they are happy and get compliments for the art. Some of my past clients feel more confident going to the beach or revealing certain parts of their body.
    Tons of people just gain a lot of confidence after getting a tattoo.
    So I think it's actually that then others being attracted to tattoos. You're more confident and therefore others see you as more attractive

    I think at this point you have a tattoo for the wrong reason. You really shouldn’t get one if you looking to impress people, get one because you want it! Sure you can let position and style change a bit but in terms of what it’s that up too you. I’ve seen the worst tattoos that people have decided to get and they’re happy with them. I believe self happiness and confidence boost your attractiveness up by a mile.

    In western cultures people get tattoos to stand out..in other cultures people get tattoos to fit in. Regardless of all that,a tattoo does not necessarily difine you as a man...your deeds,actions and intentions define you as a man. A tattoo can REPRESENT many things but ultimately.. Thoughts define what you want...& actions define what you get.

    Ultimately it's a matter of taste. Although I will say that most women i've been in contact with have love my sleeves. My tattoos mean the world to me and I appreciate the art that will forever be on my body. It's a great conversation starter for me that can escalate to a date and later on hooking up in the future. I will say this though, some women will just not be into your tattoos. Don't take it personally. For every no there's always two yes's. Just DO YOU

  • @JeromeCourtoisCA

    Talking from experience and in a western culture: I have tattoos that are hidden in normal attire, even when wearing a shirt it's difficult to spot any thing. As this Video is about Tattoos and their relation women I will say this: I have made positive experience with being able to say "Yes, I do have a tattoo" but not being able to show it. I think it might spark some imagination. I know it does for me when a woman says this. And it makes for a nice experience when undressing for the first time. It's something private because "only" they were able to see it.
    Another plus is that it doesn't interfere with my business look.
    Obviously it needs to be a good quality tattoo and not some weird cliché ;) if its a bad tat, its a bad tat.

  • @ogrxdy
    @ogrxdy 6 лет назад +11

    Few things about the video and also some comments I’ve seen: It all depends on the woman as to whether or not they find men with tattoos more attractive or not, so there’s your answer.
    What tattoo you get and the placement of it is entirely up to you, don’t watch a RUclips video to help you decide that. There’s no “ranking system” for this type of thing.
    *EDIT:* To clarify, I have 4 tattoos myself, and I also have a partner that finds them attractive. If you’re not getting a tattoo because you’re afraid of being unattractive to some women, then I’m sorry, but you need to re-evaluate.

    I think for some of us, tattoos are a way to tell our story, through the ink in our skin. Sure the average passerby may just think, oh sweet sleeve tattoo, or I really like that rose, but if they actually took the time to read what was etched into our skin, they could see some of the hardship that we've gone through. Heartbreak, losing loved ones, what you believe in. Some of them cover up pain. To be honest, I'll trust a tattooed person a little bit more than one who doesn't have any, mainly showing how dedicated they are to get permanent artwork drawn into their skin. Shows loyalty.

      I think of tattoos as a memoir or relic of the person you were at the time you got it. I have gotten tribal, geometric designs, and most recently an ocean themed sleeve. They all held meaning for me at the time I got them even if my interests changed over the years. To each their own though

    I know I’m a tad late on this video but I have several tattoos across different parts of my body.. and I haven’t been happier than when I see them cause they all have a meaning and I don’t care what the person next to me has to say about them because it isn’t on them.. so my advice is go for it if you want. Don’t be worried about someone saying anything about them because in the end they don’t have to see it and live with it everyday you are

    I think the shoulder tattoo is awesome.
    1. You can hide it.
    2. My mother has an awesome tattoo there, making it a rather special place for a tattoo to me.
    3. I think a family crest or something cultural looks really good there. Not on everyone, but that goes for anything.

    I have a lot of tattoos, and I say go with what makes you comfortable, it's all about self expression just like your dress style.
    The comments here are pretty appalling, while I can't imagine myself without them now, I don't go around belittling people without tattoos, nor do I see other tattooed people doing it, unlike those who always have something negative to say about something they don't understand.
    Body modifications are a very personal thing, I think most of them are beautiful. Sure, you'll see some dumb shit sometimes, but generally you keep your opinions to yourself because chances are they got that tattoo/piercing for a reason, and to THEM it makes sense.

    It really depends on what kind of guy you are. If you are a big and muscular tough guy, it can suit you well. But I have to admit, when I see a man with a tattoo on a visible place (Hands, arms, neck, face,..) I can’t take him very serious anymore. Even worse for women. I make some kind of connection with “trashy people”, if that’s an actual word. And I’m so sorry to make it a stereotype, it’s just my natural feeling about it. There is nothing more attractive than a beautiful and natural skin.

      So true, I used to lift alot especially overseas, I get back and kind of just fall off the wagon, just partying and getting inked up, I attracted more women in my somewhat in shape party tattooed self vs when my body was actually good looking when I was in shape. Makes zero sense lol

    • @ssu7653
      @ssu7653 5 лет назад

      @@wanderoustree When you were in shape it took alot of your time/focus, and the woman were mostly in the "i just want to have fun" mood (on top of you most likely hanging out with alot of other very fit guys). Now that your older and not that focused on training, your more relaxed and the woman start looking for more "father/husband" type. Not to mention older guys are often more attractive, something i suspect is left form earlier times when only the strong/smart would live that long

    I don't think you or the authors of the study understand how female attraction works. It's not as simple as an attractive/not attractive binary. It depends what stage of life the woman is in, what stage of her menses she's in, whether she's shopping out affair partners or a husband, her general anxiety level and many other factors. It's similar to having a muscular physique, many women think it's intimidating until they find one who's soft inside or who they think they can tame. But I appreciate the attempt at making a breakdown.

    Great unbiased video Sir. I'm from Denmark and i think there's a culture here, that tattoos are for the rebellious youngsters and sailors. Many older people still hold the opinion that tattoos are for gangsters. I think that a tattoo should be somewhere where you can hide it with a t-shirt, because then you have the option to hide it in any setting.

    What about tattoo styles? Do they prefer color over just black tattoos? Is there a specific art-style that is more attractive? Example: Japanese art tattoo, abstract ones or just a very detailed one. Also what tattoos go with the color of your skin? Some tattoos colors and style look better with a certain skin color. Amazing video though.

    Psychology will tell you that people (especially in their younger years) tend to try and look like people they grew up looking up to. In my case it was a lot of rockstars. Tattoos, piercings, wild and crazy hair, the whole package. So of course I think they're cool and attractive. That kind of stuff will grow on you, especially if you're exposed to it from a young age. I don't expect everyone to think they're cool, and people are fine to have their own opinion. Just don't go making up excuses as to why you hate them. Just say they aren't your thing and be on your way. I think croc shoes are ugly but you don't see me saying that you need to have a low IQ and make bad life decisions to wear them. Claims like that are just idiotic.

    Attractive is in the eye of the beholder. God gave me a big red birthmark covering a large portion of my right neck and face. I see no need to add to the work of the master. I have no issues with tattoos or those who wear them. I’ve seen some amazing ink for sure. It’s just not for me.

    I think that women are attracted to men or tattoos but not both, let me explain.
    Case no. 1- A woman is attracted to a man. You take the average tattoo guy and chances are that he is somewhat fit. Him having the tattoo makes no difference because many women would like him because of his physical prowess. How many women saw a guy and thought "He looks good but he doesn't have tattoos so I am not attracted to him" vs to the women that thought "That tattoo is so so good, it doesn't matter that he looks like a slob."
    Case no. 2- A woman is attracted to tattoos. A woman likes tattoos, possibly has one herself and likes that on guys too. Tattoos used to be a sign of rebelion or of certain lifestyles in which she is attracted. In this case the woman is attracted to the kind of man he projects he is through his tattoos more than his actual character.
    Full disclosure, I wanted to have a scalemail tattoo on my bicep but tattoos are so commonplace that it kinda lost its appeal. The paradox is that nowadays one is being more rebellious by not following the trend of tattoos.

    It's all about energy and the way you carry yourself. If you walk into a room and start calling everyone names theyll think you're more of a delinquent then someone with out. But if you act nice and sweet, they'll think youre twice as caring if you have tattoos. It's just natural attraction because tattoos are a form of art.

    Getting tattoos is one of my biggest regrets in life. From my experience asking women, tattoos generally are a big turn off and a lot of people will judge you negatively for having them. I also personally think they just don’t look very good. They fade very quickly and just look cheap. If you want to display your sons name, why not get a jumper his name on it or pay for a big photo of him for your mantle piece?

    It it’s a male power thing, then flowers and girly stuff should be better avoided... I agree. Placement on calves looks hillbilly and knuckles look thuggish and highly untrustworthy. Neck tattoos look like “Dont fricken hire me, I got carried away dude, I will be a disruption in the work place too”. One of the top news organizations found that over 80% with tats felt discriminated against in job interviews. If you want your ego stroked, symbols inviting enquiry could be far wiser. A buddy who is a locksmith has a big old skeleton key formed from a snake with real style on his forearm. People ask him all the time because it’s intriguing and they don’t feel intimidated to ask. Some tats are so busy and have art, not symbolizim. It does not promote an exchange.

    • @RoofTopFocus
      @RoofTopFocus 5 лет назад +1

      Really depends on the culture of where you live. You can have tasteful tattoos on your hands and even on your legs. All about having the art follow the lines of the body.
      Hand tattoos are a poor choice though due to wearing/fading faster than other places.

    Ugh, I got 2 tattoos that's converge that pays respect to my Chinese/American roots. It reminds me of my Buddhist roots, It reminds me everyday of where I use to be, where I'm going but never forget where I came from. It's symbolic of my grandfather, my mother and father and a "calm river" which is based off of my Chinese name. It took awhile to come up with such a dedication piece, and is costly but I asure you there are no regrets and I keep it hidden 90 percent of the time, so I'm not out for attention. I think the beauty of it is just trying to figure out what you're dedicated to and what you respect and love and then adopt it on your body till the end of days. People don't understand that, and it doesn't help too when people just get tattoos to "look cool."

    Recently started my first tattoo, it’s an organic heart with inorganic tubes and metal fittings across my chest for the the centerpiece and a more flexible looking armor breastplate on either side. Personally I think quality is more important than placement or design in how tattoos are seen as attractive or not.

    Interesting subject Antonio. I’ve noticed a trend in Germany. It’s becoming a kind of a social class thing. The higher the social class, the fewer people wearing them. It’s crazy! Everywhere you go, you’ll notice it. Take the national Soccer Team for example. None of them show any tattoos. I think it’s even banned in some of the top German-league clubs.

    Don't like tattoos, would never get one myself. Don't find them attractive on a women. I think getting a tattoo whether you like it or not will limit your market to only women who like tattoos. Instead, if you don't get a tattoo, you are open to women who like or dislike tattoos and if you end up with a women who likes tattoos, then you can ink yourself after you have established your relationship.

    Tattoos are indeed perceived very differently according to cultures. About Japan, it also has a stigma with tattoos, mostly associated with Yakuza. The public baths, spas, etc don't even let tattooed people in their premises, and that includes foreign tourists-I even saw one capsule hotel banning them. So, even if it's a foreign language tattoo, I don't recommend having one in Japan. Though in my last visit, I saw more tattooed people than ever (I lived in Japan for 1 year and visited numerous times). Like you said in Russia too, it's more of a criminal thing. I'm from Turkey, a mainly Muslim place. Some say that tattoos don't let water through causing the ritual washing & ablution void and therefore it's unacceptable and some say not. There are many people with tattoos that I know of. But during our military service (we have conscription) we would report the tattooed draftees as they were deemed troublesome.
    I personally don't really like them and never would get one. They will stick around forever and I may regret them. And tattoos on women are a turn-off for me too. A small one here and there is OK, but I can't stand the big ones covering the backs, arms, etc.
