Thanks for the firewood video. So satisfying to watch. My favorite view is when you show the bigger logs being split 4 ways. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. God bless you and yours.
That log splitter brings back memories of my hard working daddy. He split logs the hard way from a young boy until his late 70's. He 87 now. Just shows hard work keeps you going.
Nice to see your firewood operation. I just cut and baled last week, hopefully I can get one more cutting soon. Keep safe and have a great Thanksgiving with your family.
Bit late seeing this Dennis but I had an idea for your extended log rack for the processor. If you had an old truck rack laying around that would probably work pretty well. Lets you add square tubing to the legs if you need to adjust the high and rollers on top of the rack to help the processor feed. Rollers I was thinking of would be like for the stands you can get for a table saw for long work pieces, if that makes sense. Plus if you need the truck rack or its in the way its easily moved, or just a few pieces of bracing if it needs to be stronger. Cheers!
This was special ordered that size I had to do 8 cords that size. Usually I’m cutting 16 inches and splitting smaller. Still sometimes I get complaints that it’s too big and sometimes I get complaints that it’s too small. You can’t really win when you cut ahead.
Come on now Dennis. You're just irate cuz Dorsey gets to sleep in and you don't. 🤣
Dang right
Thanks for sharing ....Your a dam hard worker my friend
Thanks

Satisfying to watch. Love your videos. Thank You
Ow! Knocked my glasses off !
I concur about not liking mornings.
If I was closer to Virginia I'd split up the logs for ya
Your log rack looked full the other day. Stay busy!
i could watch that for a very long time almost as enjoyable as watching a square baler pound hay.
Awesome
What size processor is that one and would you recommend buying that brand ?
It’s a Dyna SC14. Yes it’s been pretty good

And Happy Thanksgiving to you Dennis, and your family !
Thanks! You too!
That was really awesome Dennis
Thanks
Just wondering how much you are able to split in an hour? A full bush cord ?
Yeah a little more than a cord in good wood like this
How many cords an hour do you figure you are getting off this Dennis?
About a cord and a quarter
You did more work in that hour than most people do all day. Now time to go to work. Ron
Bahaha thanks
I started renting a Dyna a few years ago every other year. That machine is awesome and fun to run.
Yes!
What type of wood is this and what types do you normally split/sell?
This is oak, Chestnut oak and red oak mostly. I usually deal with oak, wild cherry, and hickory.
Curious how your customers like the big split wood I have to bring mine down smaller thanks

@@DLHFarms I agree I bought a processor this year and your right on it can be all over the board
Thanks for the firewood vldeo Dennis.
👍
Kinda what is the yield on a rack like that . A load , load and half?
That rack would have been close to a load on my truck usually I have to put 2 or 3 more logs on to finish out the truck if I’m loading it direct.
Need an extension table on that. Builder Dennis
Yep
Nice video Dennis thank you 👍
Thanks!
