Great video, very helpful to me while I 'get it in my head' what I've signed up for....I think it's going to be a fun ride! Thanks also for the 12-bar blues....-Veteran '66-68
I am left with nothing to say, Simply AMAZING isn't enough. Absolutely Beautiful and your craftsmanship is on another level I never knew existed. I am now watching all of your videos and yes I have Subscribed to one of the best I've seen! Thank you for posting this outstanding build!!!
Been working on a “prototype” (practice) run using cheap wood for now. Trying the bevel way on the seat but can’t get the right angles. I don’t have a biscuit jointer although the bevel way seems to maybe structurally a stronger way. Still trying to get used to using the router I got from a pawn shop to fashion the joint. I’m obsessed with this Maloof chair. Any advice on the bevels if in case you’ve tried them out before? Thanks.
Hello excellent job , I would like to know were you found and buy the rotary sander tool per minute 1,50 of your video . Thank you for your answer and again well done
Amazing build. Thanks for capturing and sharing your entire process with us. How long, from start to completion, did this project take you? For a single chair and for both all together?
Amazing chairs! I wouldn't have a clue as to how to make anything even close to that, but the way you make these seem almost a bit wasteful with materials. Is this how Maloof would make his chairs or are they made with steam bending? Anyway, great work and nice videos! 🙂👍
Arvid Haglund thank you for the kind words, and yes it is a little bit wasteful. And it’s close to the way he made them and no he didn’t do anything with steam bending
Brian Robertson Woodworking cool! I'll have to look into his work cause these chairs were amazing as I wrote earlier. Won't short grain be an issue when you cut the material this way? I'm trying to get into wood working so I'm curious about these things. 🤓
Arvid Haglund you are going to have a little bit of grain run out, that’s why you have to lay out your material to follow the grain of the as close as you can.
Holy S***, That was awesome! They look like sports cars.
Thank you I appreciate it!
So beautiful, so elegant! I like it.
It’s incredibly satisfying to watch the sculptural part, when the blocky form turns into a thing of beauty.
