- Jessie's Story (Part 1 of 4) This is Jessie Hall's Story as told by Denise Koch from WJZ TV in Baltimore, Maryland on a Thanksgiving Special in 2008. Jessie suffered from a rare Neurological Disease called Rasmussen's Encephalitis. The treatment to stop intractible seizures was a Hemispherectomy. Jessie had a right hemispherectomy. Jessie's Mom and Dad founded the Hemispherectomy Foundation to support other families going through this ordeal.
