I went to Bass Pro Shops to check out the boats, and they had a new Tahoe T16 in stock. I wanted to walk through it and look at its features, specs, and price to see if this could be the most affordable Family Fishing boat for having a good time at the lake during the summer. This boat has alot of great features, and a great price to get you and your family on the water for some tubing then switch over and go fishing for a little while. Let me know if you have looked at this boat or if you have an opinion on these boats.

We bought on in April of 2021 with the 75hp and it runs what is advertised. With a full tank of gas and to large people it runs 39.7 mph by the gps and 43 by the speedo. We love it. It also fits in my garage with the swing away tounge.
Oh yeah. I like that boat. My neighbor has one and he loves his. He just took his out in the ocean in destin Florida. They are great boats.
I bought one 6 months ago and have no regrets. It as an awesome little boat and fits perfectly in my garage.

@@TBassFactory I went into Bass Pro today and put a deposit down on a 2022 185S. Decided to go bigger. I do still think the T16 is a nice boat. Just wanted more features!!!!!!

Bought one with 75hp and live well. Love it , great little boat but looking to do some modes on it, like extending the storage and changing some cup holders to rod holders. Any T16 custom mod sites or videos?

Thanks I appreciate that. If your starting a channel it’s not about subscribers or views. It’s a search based channel on what people search for. If your going fishing just have fun and don’t worry about growing for awhile. It’s a marathon not a sprint. It’s not about home runs like viral videos but base hits.

My buddy works at Bass Pro part time and sells these boats to supplement his retirement. The vast majority of folks that buy boats there finance them for 15 to 20 years and have *no business buying a boat in the first place.*
I would have to say you are 100% right in that assessment or I would have already bought one too. The price per month and not looking into the amount of interest that gets tacked on over time is enough to be mor of a smart shopper when it comes to buying a boat. I’m not sure if this is the same guy at San Antonio bass pro shops but there is a guy up there I like that is doing the same thing. Thanks bud

Another good route if a person is trying to budget is find a $500 boat that is structurally sound and put a brand new 60hp engine for $9000. Another $700 into interior and you have a custom boat that will last years for $10,300 with brand new mechanicals.
I like the way you tjing outside the box and you are totally right. The only thing if it is a fiberglass boat is the earlier years there was alot of rot because of the plywood and fiberglassing. You just have to be careful or you adopt a bigger problem with new mechanicals but I like the thinking. I think I would find aluminum and then you don't have to worry about any rot.
I'm rebuilding a 16" 1972 StarCraft and trailer I got for $400. I'm putting On a 50 HP 4 stroke. Maybe $6000 total.
The 75 is a whole larger class of motor with more than DOUBLE the engine size~ worth the extra $$$.

Yeah they are super backed up. My neighbor loves his, and they are some nice boats for the price.

You are probably right, but my neighbor has one and his buddy sold his t16 and made money on the boat. My neighbor said he was offered more for his as well. Im not completely sure honestly bud. I do know there is a shortage for boats right now and there is a long list for backorders on boats.
Why is the battery buried in the back bottom of the boat? You can't change the battery unless your a 70 pound 3 foot tall miget. Look like I have to go to bass pro for a battery change out.

That’s a good question Willy maybe strapping it down on the back or bring a battery operated pump or use the cigarette lighter to inflate it after getting out there.

I literally saw that same exact boat in bass pro today for 36,000. The T-16,
What a f n rip off . I saw them sell that to an Asian guy for fishing 😮 I shook my head and said to myself ( that boat is for pleasure not fishing). They told the salesman they wanted it for fishing and he gladly sold it to them without even mentioning that it had no rod holder, no live well , and basically no room to fight a fish, especially with the 3 other brothers he plans on taking with him. Anything for a sale I guess. Like selling salt to a snail. Horrible service all around
It was 21,000 2 years ago for the same model and accessories. It was even the same color and motor.
Almost double the price when you add taxes.
I don’t know how bass pro sleeps at night.

They should have at least talked to him about a deep v Lund or maco . The salesman rushed him through the sale and went to the back to laugh .

I’d say they sleep just fine. The employee that sold it shouldn’t. I’d say he’s just doing his job but to sale it as a fishing boat is the exact opposite. Otherwise, they sleep fine. If someone chooses to overpay w/o an ounce of research them it’s on them for doing it. As long as ppl continue to do it nothing will change as well as the ppl like yourself who was still there shopping and buying other items that are most likely overpriced just as the rest of us has. I’ve gotten to the point that I for the most part only go to the big box stores to look at something I otherwise couldn’t see or hold in person to make sure it’s what I’m looking for and then buy used as someone somewhere has bought it and then sells it. Takes time and research but if it’s not something I got to have immediately, if you wait long enough you’ll find it somewhere. Obviously that doesn’t work for everything or everyone but when the shoe fits it fits.
144 months! WTF, who is going to pay 12 years of boat payments? And 10,000 bucks in intrust is wack. Save up your money and buy a decent used boat.
I know right that is forever, and that interest adds up to alot. It would be better to do a bigger down payment and higher payment
Or you could just finance and play. put whatever money you were going to save on the note. any money over the payment should go directly to principle ...should be no penalties for paying off early. Further, the new price five years ago is the used price today ...who woulda thought you could buy a boat, romp around in it for five years and then put it up for sale for more than you paid for it?
22 grand isn't a budget priced boat for my back pocket, that's a kick bk boat, not a fishing boat

They are definitely budget minded boats, but for the price they aren't bad compared to other boats in the same category of boat.
