DIY Mining Setup

We built and setup a mobile mining sluice for the boys' birthday party this year and it was a huge hit- and also educational. It was a great sensory activity and it kept the kids occupied for quick some time, looking through their sand and rocks for gems, shark teeth, and arrowheads. Add a gem identification book and you could make this a great educational activity with a school classroom. The gems and arrowheads were taken home as party favors.
