Tom, you had made a reference to finding 1870s stuff in a test pit that went 8 ft down. You had said you were going to excavate that whole area to that depth. Is that coming up in a different video or did that not happen?
I don’t always end up with them. Sometimes I’m invited it to simply film for the channel. I’ll definitely show some cleaned up pieces when I can, though.
Another good bottle hunt Tom 😊and it was surprised to see some intresting bottles and other items 😊surprising what you found in the landfill 😊 all the best Tom 👍 👌 Andrew south wales uk 👍 👌 😊 👏
Circle B is the symbol for Brockway Glass, from Brockway Pennsylvania. They were started in 1907 and merged with Owens Illinois in 1988. My uncle worked for them his entire life. He was from Brockway.
Tom, I was born in 1964 and Bromo Seltzer was always in our medicine cabinet during my childhood and I loved it and even remember faking stomach aches just to enjoy the bubbly goodness of that toxic concoction 😳. I even remember taking the individual pellets to put on my tongue just to enjoy it fizzing in my mouth 😂. I'm about to turn 61 in April and still enjoy probing, digging and detecting whenever the opportunity arrises so I wonder how "toxic" it truly was. Keep up the amazing content 🤙🏽
Tom, I'm sorry for whatever occurred to create a need to start your Lost Horizons channel. And I'm glad to see you working on these amazing new digs. I feel like you could host a workshop and digging event over a weekend with everyone paying ?$? For your expertise and an opportunity to go some where with you to learn your productive skills. Consider it. Be well and keep up the wonderful historic finds.
Your R.R.R. Radway was the first one I've seen 'dug' beyond my three... and the three I have are all different topped, one being pontiled. Still looking for any other versions of lip finishing like my own. NICE HAUL for sure!
Love it. I understand not having the summary pics at the end, I'm sure it's a pain. Maybe do a summary vid of some cleaned pieces like every 10th vid? At any rate, another great great dig! Thanks!
It’s mainly based on what I end up keeping. It’s a case by case scenario. A friend found this one and I informed him that I was just looking to get some videos in and he could keep the best of the best, which I’m fine with. I already have the earliest bottle from that part of the country in my collection. I mainly just look for the earliest bottles from each area that I dig.
Alright Tom another great dig, that was some really cool sodas you got, sorry the bottom was blowed out of that beer, I was as let down as you were but a good day
Tom such an interesting dig. I am guessing so many old bottles on the top from years of the ground eroding or shifting from frost over the years? So fun when you find bottles that you have never seen. The local pharmacies and hutch were awesome. My favorite is the jug and chamber pot. Great video, and your continued success in finding lost history.👍👏😀
Have been watching from the beginning. Soo happy your sub numbers are rising! I made a new account so I could resub. RUclips unsubscribed me to my stuff and I couldn’t remember nothing to sign in. I love when the piece is whole like the jug. Love the colors and the huge metal still? you dug up. That video is just good. From the start, lots of new finds. Keep digging!❤
I was talking about an older video with the cool new stuff. That intact label was gorgeous. Think this was my favorite video, the sink spot in the backyard video ( months ago).
My first video from you and it was great. I love all the research you did and added in text here. Subscribed! Keep on keepin on, you are putting out great content.
Crikey, you could make a whole bottle collection just on that one site ! Lets hope that you come back to this dump with some more videos. It looks like there is a lot to go at. All the best from Dorset, UK.
Great dig! The end came up too soon on the video for my taste, but I guess you gotta sleep sometime! Loved the black glass and that rare bitters bottle. Oh, and also the hutches! Keep on digging! I know you will!
Another great dig with Tom! 😁 So many great pieces! I had no idea they made "fish" glue until you pulled up an old bottle. I had to look it up 😂. Not only are your digs fun, but educational as well. Thank you 😊 I was wondering if you would share what is your favorite thing that you have found so far?
that one likely had a ton more! i don't think i would have wanted to fill it back in yet. I'd stay for a few days! lol. How exciting to watch, very therapeutic and i love learning the history. Thanks for sharing with us!
Nice hunt Tom!!!😮 I've been meaning to ask you. Have you ever found a dump that privy dippers dumped in??? If not, what do you think that the privy dippers did with the mess after the job was done??? Thanks for another great video!!! And I hope to hear back from you!!! Joe 😊
Hi Tom. Really, Really look forward to your videos to see what you'll dig up next. You really need to plan to visit some of our old abandoned ghost towns here in East Texas like the Old Aldrige sawmill town here in the Anglina National Forest. A town of 500 residents from 1890 to 1901. Bet you would find some real treasures there. Thanks Tom. 😃❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
Tom, I first found Sherman & McConnell as "Drugs" in Omaha in the July 1890 Dun. By July 1899 they had been re-named the Sherman & McConnell Drug Co. That should help in dating your bottle. In 1923, they were still the Sherman & McConnell Drug Co. Jim
Nice dig. It's amazing you can still find places like this. How long has it been since you were able to sit right on top of the ground and pull stuff out? I really don't think that happens in California anymore. Hope you're doing well. Take care.😊
Another great dig! Many “firsts” in the way of bottles! The jug was an awesome find too! I wonder why it was disposed of intack? Enjoyed the video and keep up the good work!
I did not know acetaminophen was such an old drug! You are so knowledgeable. I love those small very blue bottles!! Do you ever sell the old porcelain fragments in bulk?
Tom, There was a Millard Hotel in Omaha as listed in the 1884 Dun, and it was run by the Hotel Association of Omaha. There was still a Millard Hotel there in the 1924 Dun. Jim
Great, fun dig Tom! So I assume the Hutchinson Sodas without the mug base design are older than the ones with? or do I have that backwards? anyway, glad you found some! So cool! take care
You killed me with the spittoon the broken pieces were right there. If you planned on cleaning it up you totally should have grabbed those.
Nice snowed in and a new tom video pops up it's a good day 👍🏻
I’m not snowed in, but confined to home for today. Great time to see a new video. From Tom that is!!!
The Wizard...🇦🇺
Tom, you had made a reference to finding 1870s stuff in a test pit that went 8 ft down. You had said you were going to excavate that whole area to that depth. Is that coming up in a different video or did that not happen?
Great dig. Hoping for a part 2 from here!
There’s actually four parts. The best is yet to come!

I don’t always end up with them. Sometimes I’m invited it to simply film for the channel. I’ll definitely show some cleaned up pieces when I can, though.
That must be hard to leave all those amazing pieces behind!
It does make what you allow us even more special. Thank you for your generosity!

I loved this dig bonus was you stayed dry and maybe not quite as cold! Have a great week!

I have a very similar memory about Bromo Seltzer. Hadn't even thought of that until this episode! You're the best Tom! ❤
Awesome finds!
Your knowledge exceeds any other digger’s I have seen!
So nice to see you digging In Iowa! Amazing as always!
Lots of cool finds. That platter is huge ! And the spittoon. It would have been nice to find all the pieces. I love the pitcher. ❤
Pressed glass water pitcher. Vandyke pattern made by Beatty & Son’s Glass Co. 1880’s.
I appreciate the info!
Super awesome finds, Tom. A treasure trove of artifacts. Anxious to see the next program. Good work finding this location. Take care and be safe. 👍

Consider it. Be well and keep up the wonderful historic finds.
What most amazes me is finding 120 yr old pieces so close to the surface.
That was truly amazing to me. There was actually early glass just laying on the ground
Thank you Tom 🙏 ❤
Interesting dig. Love the jug. Lots of ironstone and China. Thanks for taking us along.
Good dig! Thank you Tom.
Thank Tom. I enjoy your videos. 😊

Alright Tom another great dig, that was some really cool sodas you got, sorry the bottom was blowed out of that beer, I was as let down as you were but a good day
Most of the beers were broken. They must have been returning the intact ones
Very nice! I was sorry to see this end!

He mentioned in a different reply that this is part 1 of several!

Tom, about that Pomy & Segelke Hutchinson soda - they are listed by R. L. Dun as "Soda Water" Sept 1881 thru Jan 1889. Gone by 1890. Jim
Nice variety of stuff dug. I can't wait to see the other parts next
brilliant video really enjoyed it thank you
Great dig
Fun as always, thanks
My first video from you and it was great. I love all the research you did and added in text here. Subscribed! Keep on keepin on, you are putting out great content.
You should do a collection video of all of your incredible finds over the years. I think I and others would like to see your collection of gems.

National forests won't let you dig or detect in them 😞.
Thanks Tom, I see you moving more southerly.
Hope you find some other places to dig in the area. I really enjoyed this dig with all of if unique finds.
I was born and raised in Council Bluffs Iowa. My old stomping grounds.

Oh how I wish I could come play in the dirt with you!
I looked up 'squill', having never heard of it before!---I liked the slow and unrushed feel of this dig. No ketchups? A mystery!
Awesome digs
A great day of awesome finds ,thanks,i hope you get to do another live program with Quarter Hoarder again ,shame it was cut short!
Quarter Hoarder said in about 3 weeks they hope to have Tom on again.
