Hi,Si….Received my beautiful Calendar! TY so much for all your help and kindness! I am thrilled to have it! Sending love and good vibes across the pond!!
As a ceramicist, I can only hope that someone finds a broken piece I've made in the future and spends as much time and care as you have on that teapot to make it useful again!
My dad was from another area. Born in 1927 and largly grew up at his granddad. He never threw things away but repaired them. I never appreciated that, thought it was silly, till I got older. He also repared my moms teapot, he made a sprout of I believe it was a piece of gardenhose. It worked fine and my mum was okay with it. When he passed away I found loads of things repaired, some better then others. He worked wonders with wood. Other things were more creative like the hose 😂
I think the same thing about my creations. I have hope that someone, at some point in the future, will find some of my work and find joy or revive/transform it.
Blimey, that song took me right back to primary school assembly. You guys today were not just digging up the history from the mud, but from the depths of memory too x
I'm jealous of you I will never be able to visit your country to mudlark the closest thing I will ever have is to live through your videos please don't ever stop the history you share can never be duplicated thank you
Every once in a while someone of you Mudlarks finds a Castor Oil bottle. I'm 77 and when I was young our Parents and Grand Parents would dose us with a table spoon of that stuff to keep us regular (even if you already are). I promise you that if you ever take a table spoon of that you will never ever forget it😢.🤪😵💫😖😖😖😫😢
Me, screaming at the screen right now.. "How could you not make a pepper pot dog-headed/ baby body Frankenstein figurine!!" Tragedy. . . Also, lovely adventure as always. I will recover. Xoxo
Bless, my dad died this year age 89 he remembered ww2 he was 4 when war broke out he remembered the American troops stationed near Warrington his birthday was 8th May VE day...... It's the end of an era for sure god bless all the mums and dads that have left us ❤️🌹wherever they are.
H3 are my favorite episodes. It always amazes me the objects that y'all find in the creek beds and such. Great up cycle, great Song Sean and hi to Daisy.
Always love your videos Si and Mark is a sweetheart too ! I bet you'll have the birds fighting over the new cool digs, great upcycle as always. Looking forward to the next mudventure and who knew Sean was so talented ?? Hope to see him out with you acting goofy, always makes me laugh. Stay well, love and hugs 🥰🥰 xx
That was a nice figurine of the lady and sheep even without the head. The green cutdown came out lovely and the tower is so pretty. The dour is cool indeed. I liked that poem, snd Shaun sang it beautifully . Mark's hat is great. That large knob might be more a furniture finial than a door knob.
I didn't realize how much I had missed the hovercraft series! What lovely finds and a beautiful and unexpected upcycle! A Si-Finds upload always makes my day!
I found my first military pickle jar on my permission last year, the army trained there in 1915.Would if upcycled the dogs head and headless boy into a freaky figurine lol.
My great great grandfather was in the 1st world war and we have got his spires and they look like your one but ours are complete with the leather straps and spikes love watching your mud larking
My dear Simon i love the bottle you cut down for me that i bought from you i use it everyday with a tealight and i have the picture of the bridge you drew also in a frame on my wall , i pray you have a good day , stay safe .... hugs
Spurs aren't outlawed or cruel when used correctly. No one should be inflicting pain or injury while using them as a riding aide. What a beautiful piece of history
Love watching all your mudventures!!! 😁 However, the "Hovercraft History" ones ARE my favorites! ☺ Found myself almost SCREAMING at you through my computer screen when you found that boat "furnace/safe". SI, DON'T YOU SEE THAT THE DARN THING HAS HINGES???" Most likely just a stove/heater/whatever BUT... Who knows, what someone might have put inside, closed the door and planed to come back at a later date to "recover".... Yeah, my mind will forever take me on strange escapades... 😂
Happy New Year Si and Mark. The blue poison bottle reminds me of 'Alice in Wonderland', lovely finds Si. Thank you for sharing this adventure with Mark out on the hovercraft. So kind of you to leave Mr. Crabby, as you say he'll move on when he outgrows his current residence.😄 L❤VE the teapot, what a brilliant idea !
@@micah06v8 I've asked as well, and figured the silence was telling. Steve was having lots of health problems as well, so it just didn't seem good all the way around...
I’m always intrigued by the history of all these shipwrecks. Were they battleships abandoned after war, scuttled trade vessels who fell into disrepair? When were they built, where did they travel? We have loads of ship skeletons here in Ireland too but it seems to be hard to find much information, even if they were from the 19th and early 20th century. But to go stand in front of such a rib cage of planks or steel beams and know what it once used to be would fascinate me!
Yes i agree! I would be great to know the history of each vessel. We think many of them were old Thames barges, that became to expansive to repair, and were beached and left to succomb to the elements. There are maps online that tell you the names of some of them i think here citizan.org.uk/
There used to be lots of old WW2 wrecks in Barking creek my husband used to explore them with his mates. Probably shouldn't have done, but you know what guy's are like don't think that it could be dangerous.
I remember that song, loved it as a child at school. The green glass of the cut down bottle is beautiful with the candle in it. Those knobs and that red lens could be made into beautiful ornamental toadstools or mushrooms by someone of your artistic talent. The bird house teapot is inspired!
Si, I would've loved that pickle jar in my collection, you don't come across embossed pickle jars too often. The lid was a perfect bonus. Thanks for taking us along on your Hover adventure. Take care, stay safe...
Some great finds it he babies hairbrush back was a nice find and loved the crating at the end. Perfect tea break watch for me lol thanks for another great one Si

The spur was a great find! I could almost imagine the poor horse flinching at that, as the rider dug in with his heels. People (probably older peeps!) still use the verb 'to spur on' - meaning to get you going, to inspire you to do something. As in - 'Losing my job spurred me on to starting my own business' etc!
hey si, lovely video and great finds! just curious but whered you get the glass cutter from! i have loads of old bottles here i want to up-sycle and use for cups, flower pots and small pots to store other old stuff! if the machine is too expensive is there any other ways to cut the glass! thanks and have a great, muddy adventure!
