They were a spin off of the Minneapolis Moline's which in my opinion were the best tractors ever made, we had them all Deere's IH's, I like Moline's the best never used a White, but I knew some of the old Field Bosses had 3208 Cat engines in them.
Actually a spin off of Oliver. The only row crop tractor that was partly a spin off of Moline was the 2-150. Otherwise I suppose the 4WD's were mainly Moline.

Do you prefer the Cummins powered tractors ? We have had 3 Perkins powered and one Hercules. The Hercules is a beast, but a Cummins is easy to turn up and I would guess it’s easier on fuel.

I love our Hercules in our 135s! But hard to beat the Cummins! But I do have to say! The torque of the Hercules is amazing!

Really all depends. Liquid manure 4th or 5th. Then solid 3rd or 4th. Then depending on the field work 3rd or 4th. Mowing hay 4th or 5th. Rake in 5th.
