@Amer I found some of her missing possible dialogue posted online. Apparently it's still present in the games install files but they scrapped the scripting. I haven't seen any of the player responses posted and haven't got round to digging in the files myself but by the looks of things she may have been set up to be a "scary girlfriend" with dialogue such as "let's get married in the morning" and "I think we should have about 5 kids" type stuff.
I love that oxhorn is finally covering fallout 1 in a series rather than the rare video on it. No other RUclipsr I've watched covers fallout games with oxhorn's thoroughness and unique touch and I've longed for this day. Now i can only hope for fallout 2 someday lol

I have slaughtered the population of Megaton so often after finishing a mission, dropping a save, and then going on an wild rampage at the end of gaming sessions. It became practically tradition during my FO3 run. Then, everything's reloaded, and all's well in Megaton with none of them any the wiser. This walkthrough has to be one of the best I've watched of Fallout 1. Most I've watched just simply go through the quests but I think you're about the first i've watched that explores everything and digs up as much lore about everything as possible.
I'm really impressed with all the voice acting in Fallout 1 so far. I'm honestly really impressed with the way the unvoiced dialogue is written as well, Oxhorn does a really good job, but it comes down to the material he has to work with, and it's all written very realistically

When I was young I played this game over and over again, but these days I somehow can't get myself to invest time in it.. but it is quiete interesting to watch your FO1 videos! :) Some times I wish Bethesda would ask Larian Studios to make an 'old school' Fallout game. Just imagine a Fallout game in Divinity Original Sin 2's engine and with similiar gameplay mechanics and storytelling. I would even dig a FO1/FO2 remake like this! But I guess Fallout 76 has to do for the near future..!
I know, but.. a man can dream, right? :) I played my first Fallout (1) game when I was 13 or something like that. I did not understand most of what I was doing, but I enjoyed the challange and the fact that you could solve situations however you saw fit. Most games don't offer that anymore, not even our current Fallout games imo.
For sure but you would be better served checking out indie projects. Not sure if you have played it but check out UnderRail. It certainly has Fallout as inspiration but is more cyberpunk aesthetic. Can be a bit daunting as there are a lot of ways to build your character and almost everything can be crafted but the forums have a lot of help and the wiki is kept up to date. Also maybe try Age of Decadence , low fantasy setting , lots of ways to do things and certainly no hand holding. Oh and morality is very subjective in the game of power so you are not forced to be mr goodie two shoes.
What do you mean? You can play Fallout 2, been out for over a decade, you don't have a pc? Or you mean you want to see Oxhorn play Fallout 2 and travel on a car? Either way, yeah, like how it has a unique soundtrack when using it to travel.

I mean, he's big and tough and smart, doesn't seem to be affected by radiation, has a limitless lifespan, regenerates pretty quickly, and seems to be willing to tackle a deathclaw at the drop of a hat. Just one of those things I think about when I can't sleep.
I had this exact thought and I'd like to think Black Isle alluded to this through all the notes on FEV animal testings. But I have a nagging feeling I've read or heard something that Bethesda wrote post-Black Isle Studios ownership that debased this theory. I could just be wrong though.

Regarding your comment on Knights forging weapons on the East Coast, in the Citadel, there are Knights that somewhat fit that role. To elaborate, they didn't necessarily build new weapons, Gun Runner-style, but upkept and repaired weapons and armor using schematics, old world manuals, etc. I don't remember the exact location, but it's in one of the Citadel wings.
What that person said at 4:38 is really interesting in hindsight, given what we know now about both the NCR and the Lyons Brotherhood. Call me on it if I'm wrong, but I think the Enclave and the Fallout 4 Brotherhood are about the only factions left that have (or had) both quantity and quality.I personally say NCR and Legion don't count because they're a mix of expendable troops with minimal training and more experienced commando-style troops, as opposed to the commandos being the whole army. Speaking of the Brotherhood of Steel, I hope Oxhorn does some form of profile video for their depiction in this game. Considering how they're usually depicted, I was pretty surprised at how inclusive and, well, HELPFUL they were here. Reminds me of what Veronica said about how they could be a more effective version of the Followers if they'd get the stick out of their collective asses. This seems like what they were before the stick.

Scribe Vree is voiced by CCH Pounder who is an excellent actor and has been in shows like NCIS: New Orleans, The X-Files, Law & Order: SVU, and Sons of Anarchy, pretty awesome to know she also was a voice actor in Fallout.

I was able to sneak past Rhombus with my sneakiest character and a stealth boy, but you can also make a break for the locker then hand the motivator to a companion (Ian works best for this in my experience, for whatever reason). You can actually get two systolic motivators, as well, if you do the speech check AND yoink Rhombus's one
i played this fallout and fallout 2 back when they first came out, but i never really payed attention to all the lore so watching your vids on the lore items i missed and the puzzle i wasnt able to put together is pretty sweet! do you plan to do vids of fallout 2 like this as well? i hope so!

I haven't play Fallout 1 ever and don't really know if they have those Soundtracks in certain areas or if it is you Oxhorn, but i do really appreciate the details and also love this serie like the rest of the Fallout games history, keep up with the good work and quality of your videos.

But of course, it wouldn't make sense. That level of quality deserve a ton of subscribers.
I was able to sneak past Rhombus with my sneakiest character and a stealth boy, but you can also make a break for the locker then hand the motivator to a companion (Ian works best for this in my experience, for whatever reason). You can actually get two systolic motivators, as well, if you do the speech check AND yoink Rhombus's one

i played this fallout and fallout 2 back when they first came out, but i never really payed attention to all the lore so watching your vids on the lore items i missed and the puzzle i wasnt able to put together is pretty sweet! do you plan to do vids of fallout 2 like this as well? i hope so!
