I know choppers have big hp and capacity but I’m still amazed at the volume of feed they can put through when I’m driving along watching the feed pouring out of the spout. It’s no wonder stuff wears ehh

With the amount of material that goes through that chopper every year, I am surprised you get that long on some components I remember doing that same work in the 80's on a chopper after doing 800 acres of corn. If you don't keep the machine and always trade it in ya don't have to fix that stuff. My response to the critics. That chopper owes you nothing in my opinion, it deserves what it gets done to it. Keep posting.

If you run a few thousand tons through any machine, it may wear a little bit. Especially with a Pickup head out in the front. Just the grit from the ground wears stuff out. If you ONLY chopped corn and had that much wear, might be a question of the quality of the components. But picking up cut alfalfa behind a mower and a merger will bring up the grit from the ground. Great video, Andy. I'm still curious about your average daily production from your cows, and I will be interested to see how much they go up when the new parlor and facilities are done. Y'all make great feed, and that means plenty of production. 👍👍
