I have gone through the assessment process twice which turned out ok both times, since then I have become even worse with my conditions with a great deal more of evidence, I can’t say I hopeful each time but I can’t get up from my bed without having the risk of collapsing which is happening more frequently. I still dread the brown envelope but I always have help which is needed but watching your uploads gives me faith so if someone has no idea how the process works please listen and maybe sign up for this as it can be scary. Well done Charlie and hope your health gets back to a better level

Thank you Charlie I trust you wholely because I have learnt so much, at first it was hard to get my head around the fact that it's not what illnesses you have but how it affects your daily life, + I have learnt that it takes time and patience to go through the form, and when have your assessment try to get it by phone and practice answering their questions, listen to your videos you will explain in detail, so now I have got PIP because I listened carefully to you over and over, so thank you so so much ❤

Create a course Charlie. You're going to be exhausted trying to help individuals. Then create a community on Skool and keep adding resources for a monthly subscription, or a lifetime membership.
Add admins to help you run this.
Once setup, you'll have minimal things to do, and you'll be reaching far more people than you possibly can trying to do group sessions and 1-1 coaching.

I just done a CoC on PIP and the agree my condition has worsened (ME) but not budged on original points. She states the following
This was written by the decision maker…..
You said you have difficulties preparing food and dressing and undressing. Your symptoms of pain remain consistent with your conditions and previous decision. Although you report the need for assistance, this is not supported as you have adequate grip to utilise aids and drive a car. I decided you need an aid to manage these activities.
I have functional issues with my right hand ( it cramps and locks up when I use it for cutting, opening jars etc) I am right handed and drive a car which means I use my left hand for all gripping in car!!!
I am going to do an MR

I applied 6 weeks ago by phone STIL awaiting for the forms! Been SIX WEEKS NOTHING! and i rung em up THREE tines to chase em up!!!! I applied last year got turned down I'm beginning to think they are deliberately NOT sendn me the forms! My GP refuses to support me or run tests I have asked for due to my symptoms but to no avail despite the 24/7 pain in my joints the weakness on my legs and brain fog and forgetfulness I hate it and have lost every job I've ever had in the last 10 years due to my health issues

    • @richardajoy79
      @richardajoy79 7 месяцев назад +5

If your pleas to the GP full on death ears then you need to force the issue and ask to speak with someone else, I had the same issue and moaned and moaned... got someone else and had tests, persistence is definitely key.

Last December I received a letter from MD and they said no. My MH went into a nose dive and thought what is the point in me taking it to tribunal. Now, I received the letter over a month after the expiry date to send in forms for the tribunal. Now, I am in a better space I am seriously thinking of fighting the decision and it's actually not about the money for me, it's about the fact they felt I did not deserve it other the phone calls and sending 2 letters describing how it is for me living with BPD. I even had to have my brother talk to them because I broke down. The phone calls and letter were for a MD. Every time I see something about PIP, I get so upset because I feel I am not worth it. So, I am going to educate myself and take this to tribunal.

I went into this PIP process rather unprepared. Had the assessment about three weeks ago. Just recently asked for and received a copy of the report which showed I was deficient in points. I've written to PIP in the hope they haven't yet made their decision, pointing out the areas where I think the report fails to reflect my condition and even reflect the conversation during the assessment itself.
The question now is, will my letter make any difference? The way the report is presented, it's tempting to think that whoever makes the decision will just look at the score provided by the assessor and that's it. I'm wondering now whether, outside of the appeal process, a claimant can communicate their misgivings about the assessment and be taken seriously.

It's an unforgiving stupid practice what our government has done. Like i wrote in my main comment we need people power, independent. They say citizens advice is independent 😂😂 what a joke. I feel this wonderful woman could teach what she know and make this a much bigger resource, unfortunately it's how the world works now, no more does one voice help the masses, because that one voice is very limited to what they now can achieve. She needs help, she even said she didn't sleep because of this video, that's not good for her, i admire her but i worry for her to. These days most are in it for themselves, that needs to change.

Is PIP for people who can't work, or for people who struggle to live independently at home? The questions seem to be around living at home. I ask because I have been refused PIP twice. My struggles are more in the work environment but I am physically capable of cooking, washing, cleaning, etc. I'm not good at doing it when I should, and I often don't take my medication, but I am physically capable. I too would love to be back at work but companies seem far less tolerant to disabilities these days. At least around where I live.

You are a one man army. And i know this sounds horrible but facts are facts. We have these organisations like citizens advice etc, but even they are pulled down by their respective council. We need an independent army. I love you, infact ive met you, long story lol. But we need a system run by independently run people. Ofcours they will need to be paid, and thats fine. I just feel you, even though you are a godsend wont be around for ever. Have you ever thought about training people to understand what you do, and then they train others and it goes down the line. We need people power. Even getting ELA is hard if you dont know that you can ask to speak to a person who deals with your case, mine was mental health, so the clinic i go to helped me request i have someone who understands mental health. Im not sure if pip is like this because ive not applied, i feel im not yet deserving of pip, not yet anyway at 53 even my health is going down hill and thats another issue we have in this country. But thats a separate thing. Any way, i really do feel we need to look at the bigger picture I.e resources, you are a resource in definition, but we need more independent people like yourself, it would also help you, and you would leave this green earth with a legacy. Nobody can help 20.odd thousand people by themselves. I hope my words dont come accros rude, but unfortunately this is the reality. You are a one man army, putting so much time into one case at a time, why not use your knowledge to train others to know the issues and ways of getting Pip, its just a though my love. God bless and plz get some rest..plz dont run yourself into the ground like so many strong dedicated people do.

There seems to be such a wide variety of experiences described by people regarding the PIP process, so much of it seems random. The assessor I encountered was a physiotherapist. My problem is migraine and vertigo. Different specialism. I got less points than I need. What if I'd seen a neurologist? The report describes my condition from a physiotherapeutic perspective, not a neurological one. I know disciplines overlap, but I feel it's a system cobbled together. I also see lots of jobs advertised for PIP assessors. Are people applying to assess conditions outside their area of expertise?

It’s a tiring process and it’s important to remember the qualifying points that you are being assessed for rather than going off on complete tangents as many people do. This not only elongates the assessment time, frustrates the assessors and can be a negative for a client who has real need of pip.
