Shang Chi was choreographed by Jackie's team ! So the scaffold fight scene in Shang Chi was actually a call back to this movie ! Also fighting with clothes is Jackie's move!
It's still crazy to me that Jackie Chan didn't like Chris Tucker at first because he kept improvising on set, and Jackie didn't like him doing that. But after hanging out with Chris off set he started liking him.
@Katie McMullen I know that for a fact because me and my best friend used to hate each others guts, but then he defended me against some people that were being very rude to me by saying "hey, you can't talk to him like that, only I can". I then said "No, you can't" in which he retorted" but I do,so your argument is invalid". That's when I thought he might be so bad and we started hanging out.
Yeah I think because Chris Tucker reminded Jackie Chan so much about his younger reckless self supposedly same thing happened to him with Bruce Lee but they bonded over bowling
My favorite part and it’s an all time favorite, is the standoff with Ricky Tan at the end. It starts with the cliche “Don’t do it. He ain’t worth it.” Then Carter changes so fast to, “He’s talking about your Daddy, shoot him. Ain’t nobody here but us, shoot him!” 😅
Don Cheadle, who played Kenny, agreed to be in this movie on the condition that he be allowed to speak Chinese, which he can fluently, and utilize his Kung Fu skills in a fight with Jackie Chan.
In case you weren't aware, all of Jackie's old movies had bloopers. They are just especially funny with Chris Tucker. The Jackie movies are mostly stunt fails and near misses, they're still very entertaining. Amazing to see the work that goes into a good Jackie stunts!
I love Ziyi Zhang (Hu Li) in this movie and she was awesome in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters I love how Chris Tucker paid homage to Michael Jackson, but it always made Michael laugh when Chris kicked the wrong damn leg.
a) Michael Jackson's speaking voice is actually quite deep, baritone level. He rarely used it to protect his singing voice. b) Chris and Michael were best friends. Michael called him out all the time for embarrassing him by using the wrong leg for the kick move he does, lol it's honestly hilarious. c) in Michael's music video for "you rock my world", Chris is in it. the bloopers for the music video are insanely funny. its a must see!
The Michael Jackson music in the first one when Chris Tucker first busts a move in the beginning is REAL, it was from "Another Part of Me" which is a lesser known song from Captain Eo, which was a 3D Michael Jackson movie experience at Disneyland in the 80s and 90s, and I believe was resurrected briefly in the 2000s.
52:05 - The best part about this blooper (Chris Tucker's phone call) was the people in the background who were acting normal, but then started giggling and looking at the camera and at Chris and Jackie until Rattner yelled cut.
Funny piece of trivia, because of that blooper, when they did rush hour 3, everyone agreed to a $20 fine any time they had to stop tape because someone's phone rang. The money would go into a pot and donated to charity. In the end, it was something like $600. 😆
Bro I've watched this movie maybe... 500? times lol and the bloopers a million times more, and i NEVER noticed that. Dam lol good catch man. Have a good week bro.
A couple months after this movie came out, Michael Jackson released his last album, which produced the video and single, "You Rock My World". Chris is in the video, and on the CD there's a short audio clip of them talking about women.
This is my favorite, thanks guys for watching this one. Makes remember "Michael Jackson "Usher and "Chris Tucker on stage together at a couple a concerts. Also "Rock my World, that video is awesome.
OMG!!! LOL!!! This is the best action comedy movie I ever watched! Rush hour 1, 2, and 3 all my favorite movie of all time. Y'all going to check out the Rush Hour 3.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol, y'all are so great! Such fun reactions. The Rush Hour trilogy is phenomenal but it owes a huge debt to Beverly Hills Cop (as a lot of buddy cop films do).. would love to see your reaction to it if it's up your alley. Thanks for reacting to the bloopers on these btw, the movies are fantastic but the bloopers are really incredible stuff... must've been such a fun shoot with all these cool characters. "War Machine" is Don Cheadle and he's one of our best actors out rn imo lol! Dude has a great sense of humour outside of his talent
Our man War Machine only had two conditions for his cameo. That he got to have a short fight scene with Jackie and that he'd get to speak with him in Chinese.
I have several favorite parts of this movie, which I've seen in theaters with my sister and my now late parents- 1.Chris Tucker's impersonation of Michael Jackson. 2.Chris Tucker butchering the Chinese language, which practically got the character he portrayed in so much trouble. 3. The fight and chase scenes. 4. Don Cheadle, 9 years before he was War Machine in Iron Man 2!!!! 5. ZIYI ZHANG from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon!!!! 6. The bloopers!!!! 7. Tucker's and Chan's characters getting pampered at the massage parlor!!!! 8. James Carter(Tucker) winning the casino money, stashing it, then giving some to Lee(Chan) before ultimately deciding to depart for NYC in the end of the movie.
Awww Chris Tucker has said he and MJ were good friends. And they were great on screen together too. Chris did a section of a stand-up special some years ago and was talking about being around Michael. Everyone’s talking about when they did the music video and when Chris Tucker appeared on stage with him dancing, but also there’s a video where MJ received an award and Chris Tucker is right next to him, they have some banter.
Jackie Chan movies are a league of their own, greatest action comedies ever, check out any of the others, especially Shanghai noon and knights with Owen Wilson
Chris Tucker Does a very good Michael Jackson Impression, especially the singing and dancing, he really was observant of the way Michael moves and sings since he was in Michael Jackson's MV "You Rock my World." and to the fact that they're really good friends.
Interesting fact: During filming of the yacht scene, then stuntman, Andy Cheng, nearly drowned when he was sucked beneath the moving boat when he fell into the water. In his harrowing account on "The Art of Action", he recounted how Jackie Chan risked his life to save him by laying flat on the jet ski platform, reaching into the water with his "big hand"(accorfing to Andy, Chan's hands are huge), fighting the current, and pulling him out but not before Chan was also pulled in. Luckily, several stuntman grabbed Jackie's foot and leg as he went in and managed to hold on to both of them. Chan never mentioned this incident that I know of but a grateful Andy Cheng wanted people to know that this man risked it all without hesitation, to save another human being
People,go watch Chris Tucker presenting an award to Jackie Chan.Chris Tucker tells a funny story about their friendship. Now,the 2 of them recieved big deals for the sequels and Tucker got really rich.
This is such a great movie. Most of the time the original movie is the best, but this is one of those times where (in my opinion) the sequel is better. It's everything we love about the first movie, but it adds a ton more to it and changes the setting up. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan have amazing chemistry and compliment each other perfectly.
You guys should react to Michael Jackson and Chris Tucker funny moments; makes me laugh to this day. They were the best of friends. Great reaction btw.
One other comment...As of 2022 with his new movie, Ride On, Jackie can still be seen in the BTS footage, at 68, doing his own fighting and stuntwork...Granted its not the crazy stuff he used to do, but hey, the guy is nearly 70, dealing with a lifetime of injuries, and rumored to have some kind of rare joint disorder...yet he keeps on going like a Timex watch.
Random fact, but the guy who plays Keno from TMNT: Secret of the Ooze was in a movie called Surf Ninjas with Rob Schneider. The full movie is on RUclips.
Michael Jackson and Chris tucker were real friends. And is probably why they were able to use the music. Tucker was always the one using it. Michael wouldn't sue his friend over a couple references.
Michael Jackson and Chris Tucker literally have a song together. Lol! It's called You Rock My World. Lol! You need to get her hip to these songs. Lmao!
You don't see fight scenes like that because most actors don't know how to fight and further most directors don't know how to film them. Jackie likes using wide shots, uses his own crew who knows his style, he uses everything around him, and he knows how to fight.
Watching you guys react to these movies just reminds me of how great they are. And how much I used to watch this one on VHS when I was a kid. I miss this sort of buddy cop Jackie chan action films. The last movie I watched that had fight scenes like these was "everything everywhere all at once"
In the stunts where he tried to squeeze through that narrow little casino gate hole he actually broke his ankle and that's why he was limping off in the outtakes but of course him being Jackie and a consummate professional...(professional badass 😂) wrapped it up tight and just bulled on through!! Lol
The Who/You dialogue has a longer play in Rush Hour 3. It originally came from a radio. Routine that Abbott and Costello did called “Who’s On First?” You can see a short clip on RUclips but if you want the full radio episode look for the Radio Version which runs for roughly 24/25 minutes where Joe DiMaggio asks Costello to sub for him because he is recovering from a foot operation.
The actor who played Ricky Tan was John Lone. For a serious movie, one that won 9 or 10 Oscars, check out John Lone as the title character in "The Last Emperor". He played the last emperor of China, who only died less than 60 years ago.
Funny you would mention the propeller in that boat scene. 2 of the stuntmen in that fight were sucked under the boat, according to the director commentary. Thankfully, they resurfaced safely.
Random tidbit: Don Cheadle’s cameo as Kenny was the inspiration for Kendrick Lamar’s Kung-Fu Kenny persona. Cheadle would even appear in Lamar’s video for “DNA”…. Anyway, I thought that was interesting lol
Some good action movies about cops, Alien Nation, Tango & Cash, Cradle 2 the Grave, National Security, Starsky & Hutch, Cop Out, 2 Guys, The Good Guys, R.I.P.D
The lovely "Roselyn Sanchez and "Zhang Ziyi from the awesome "Crouching Tiger movie. Even my boy that played "Keanu in "TMNT and "Side kicks T.V. show "Rundown and "Surf Ninjas. I really really had an good fun time enjoying this with you two. You're reactions were fun and everything was so entertaining. God bless you two. ✨️☝🏼
If jane didn't know, chris Tucker and michael jackson were very close friends and featured chris tucker in his song and music video "you Rock my world" around the time this movie came out.
Shang Chi was choreographed by Jackie's team ! So the scaffold fight scene in Shang Chi was actually a call back to this movie ! Also fighting with clothes is Jackie's move!
RIP Brad Alan
The bloopers for these movies are almost as goos as the film. Tucker and Chan had such great chemistry in each of these.
Tucker and MJ are in a music video for “You rock my world“.
Came here to say the same lol. Tucker was hilarious in that video, too.
Damn I was finna say dis 😅
bro I was thinking do they not know cuz it’s pretty old 😭 even I know
Me too 😅
I was just about to comment this lol
It's still crazy to me that Jackie Chan didn't like Chris Tucker at first because he kept improvising on set, and Jackie didn't like him doing that. But after hanging out with Chris off set he started liking him.

@Darkstar I'll take how to get people to tell you to stfu for 500
@Darkstar I'll take unoriginal, overused line for 500, Alex.
How the hell u know this? Lol
My favorite part and it’s an all time favorite, is the standoff with Ricky Tan at the end. It starts with the cliche “Don’t do it. He ain’t worth it.” Then Carter changes so fast to, “He’s talking about your Daddy, shoot him. Ain’t nobody here but us, shoot him!” 😅
shoot his ASSS
If you ain’t gone shoot him kung-fu his azz
I Love how this movie flips it and makes him want to urge Lee to do it.
🤣
Don Cheadle, who played Kenny, agreed to be in this movie on the condition that he be allowed to speak Chinese, which he can fluently, and utilize his Kung Fu skills in a fight with Jackie Chan.

Rumble in the Bronx was so dope as a kid
I love Ziyi Zhang (Hu Li) in this movie and she was awesome in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters
I love how Chris Tucker paid homage to Michael Jackson, but it always made Michael laugh when Chris kicked the wrong damn leg.
Yep 😊👌
What about crouching tiger hidden dragon!
@@luutsii I know she was in that movie, I just haven't seen it all the way through
@@Rainbow.Pegacorn.Cosplay 😮😮
a) Michael Jackson's speaking voice is actually quite deep, baritone level. He rarely used it to protect his singing voice. b) Chris and Michael were best friends. A lot of ppl miss how funny it is Tucker walking around China yelling he's LAPD 🤣
They have the greatest chemistry of any 2 Co-stars in any movie.
“Tig ol bitties” had me rolling, I legit had to take a minute.
"SON OF A BUN!" I'm loving these one liners. "FRICK ON A STICK!" my personal favorite.
Lol
The "he aint gonna be in Rush Hour 3." Blooper is the best line in the movie!
52:05 - The best part about this blooper (Chris Tucker's phone call) was the people in the background who were acting normal, but then started giggling and looking at the camera and at Chris and Jackie until Rattner yelled cut.

I'm tellin' y'all, just watching and experiencing y'all laughing soooo hard together is a BLESSING to my heart!!!!
The scene from Shang Chi was actually a dedication to this scene
They hired part of Jackie Chan's stunt team for Shang Chi. That's why some of the stunts looked similar.
Jane saying tig ol biddies had my dying😆
The guy that was in the Donatello suit was also in the the second TMNT movie. He played Keno, the kid who becomes friends with the Turtles.
39:50 had me cracking up
"Justin oh garsh"
Justin looks over, "you sounded like goofy"
A couple months after this movie came out, Michael Jackson released his last album, which produced the video and single, "You Rock My World". Chris is in the video, and on the CD there's a short audio clip of them talking about women.
We gotta give chris tucker his flowers while he here. So much talent!
Fun Fact: Ricky Tan's falling death on the car is a reference to Maggie Peterson's falling death on the car from Child's Play movie.
I mean Jackie is almost 70, of course he's not doing a lot of stunts anymore.

"Fifth element " is an amazing movie. Very interesting and classic 90s ! You will enjoy it for sure!
Jane's face at 12:53 got me laughing.

Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights are also really fun
Red dragon was a real hotel. It closed down a few yrs ago, even before covid.
Croc skin, buttercream buttercream lmaoooo the way we used to quote this damn movie. "Gyaka gyaka!"
This Duo is comedy GOLD!
Zhang was so extremely talented and young in this. Such an amazing star👏🏼

Michael Jackson and Chris tucker were real friends. And is probably why they were able to use the music. Tucker was always the one using it. Michael wouldn't sue his friend over a couple references.
A Rainbow Roll is a kind of sushi roll with different fish to each roll making a “rainbow”
“Damn! He ain’t gonna be in Rush Hour 3!”
don cheadle said the only way he'd be in this movie was if he got to fight with jackie chan.
Michael Jackson and Chris Tucker literally have a song together. Lol! It's called You Rock My World. Lol! You need to get her hip to these songs. Lmao!
He does all of his stunts in these three movies. I have never heard of Jackie needing a stunt double until maybe now in his 60s
he's used doubles many times lol 😂 I agree he does a few him self but he's definitely used a double
Chris and MJ are in Michael’s music video of "You rock my world" it’s a classic. You guys have to react to it.
this 2nd movie chris and jackie IRL are good friends now. so the movie and the bloopers are even better than the 1st. specially the chemistry
You don't see fight scenes like that because most actors don't know how to fight and further most directors don't know how to film them. Jackie likes using wide shots, uses his own crew who knows his style, he uses everything around him, and he knows how to fight.

Oh and they’ve just confirmed they’ll be making one final Rush Hour movie. Jackie is 69’in April. Legend
50:40 "His name is Lee, goddamn it" hahahaha never get old.

There's a blooper in 3 which is so crazy from Jackie. You'll know it when you see it!
Train To Busan is a definite must. These two will go through a full range of emotions. A definite rollercoaster ride.
Since Jane said she hasn't seen A Goofy Movie that should definitely be in the list of movies to watch
When she said she hadn't seen that movie, I straight up was like "you haven't?!", as if I'm in the room with them lol.
I hope you guys watch "Jackie Chan in "Rumble in the Bronx. It's one of my absolute favorites 🙏
Great series! Definitely also watch the Shanghai Noon movies, more Jackie Chan, Shaolin Soccer, and Lethal Weapon.
Michael Jackson and Chris Tucker did have scenes together in the music video You Rock My World.
The bloopers are more funnier than the movie 🤣🤣
I cry laughing every time he says don't kill chicken and the lady raises her knife up 😂😂
look up videos of mj and chris tucker performing together. its hilarious.
Just finished the first movie on here then seen you’ve done the second also, pressing play hahah
He did his stunts in the foreigner
You should see the film blue streak😂🤣😅👏🙌👌👍🎉

Don Cheadle is actually the name of Kenny who he played in this movie
24:54 » "Carter!!!" 😨😨😨

Wow I never made that connection @ 30:00, I always knew I’ve seen that guy before
Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knight are funny action movies starting Jackie chan and Owen Wilson
They’re pretty good too, I wouldn’t put ‘em against rush hour but still pretty good
You guys would really love the Friday series 🤣 they all are funny
Definitely watch Friday. that's the Chris Tucker magnum opus
If jane didn't know, chris Tucker and michael jackson were very close friends and featured chris tucker in his song and music video "you Rock my world" around the time this movie came out.
Opor
Fifth element for sure! Bruce Willis and him is just too funny!
Fun Fact: Kendrick Lamar's "Kung Fu Kenny" persona is an homage to Don Cheadle's character from this movie.
shan chi stunt team is jackie chan stunt team
