It’s funny how everyone liked the clean look of the FL5 and that the previous people criticised for having a body kit. Now that Honda give us a German styled people need spoon and mugen to make body kits
Spoon is keeping it pretty clean with their aero. Mugen is taking a different direction. There’s something for everyone.
does your fl5 overheat? You drive it hard on the track? I'm honestly scared that they would be as useless as the FK8 were on the track. The FK8 is 3 laps, let it cool for a while, repeat. That car was really a let down.

If I understand Jomoto-san correctly, the rear wing at it's lowest setting is generating more than enough downforce without setting it to max. So, the updates on the wing will be a slightly less aggressive looking angles on the main wing, especially when they need the car to be more slippery; because too much downforce is such a drag really.

This is what I love about Spoon Sports!!! Most of their vehicles like the EK9, DC2 Integra, and this one aren't really loud or aggressive (except to their S2k ofc), it's just subtle and more refined. Sure they have their own custom front splitter, side skirts and wing but it ain't like any other typical aftermarket widebody kits and tho it's just subtle, they're all functional tho. It's not always about brute power or speed but rather refined performance of the car, driving experience and the connectivity between a man and the machine. Totally love it!!!!
Me and my friend are going to japan in July this year and im so excited! I really want to see the real jdm culture and car culture in Japan, but i dont know where to start looking and go. Love the videos man keep it up

Absolutely have to respect everyone's taste and opinions. It's nice you've found a new car you're so in love with and can enjoy and share that passion. The toxic slip up on the Supra is discouraging, so many car manufacturers borrow from each other and what Toyota have done is genius. For me the FL5 is in a different league to the 86, Z and Supra but not in a preferable way.

The one thing that Honda had with the Type R was that it used to be affordable, a great car for younger people to gte into the hot hatch market and have fun, but the last 2 gens skyrocketted t he price pretty much into unattainable for the target audience, which is a huge shame and miss from honda IMO.

Albo, how did the shift knob feel? Currently have an ‘08 Fit and a new Si on order. Been looking at the Spoon shift knob for a long time and I could use it for now until my Si comes. Keep up the great content!
Almost done paying off my daily and hoping to buy a Type R within a year or two.
The only thing I don’t like about the new front is is how flat it is, almost like a truck instead of sloping downwards. Im not sure why they did that.

does this still overheats as bad as the FK8? because as a former owner it was a nightmare What's the point of having a car that can only do 2/3 laps abd it overheats? It was useless for me and many owners i know that sold them. Now spoon technicians saying it still overheats is another big letdown.
