Incredibly underrated in today's supercar media where is all about numbers. Closer to what Gordon Murray does than anybody esle. And both Murray and Dallara are automotive legends.
What a pure toy. The car actually can be customised to have a T frame to be a Targa or a coupe with doors in a seagull wing style. Also that windshield is removable. Check their site
Yeah I think he could slot and bond well with Chris Harris and Rory Reid. But instead top gear decide to relegate Rory to extra gear and sign 2 unknown arrogant looking guy
This guy comes across as so much more genuine and down to earth on the camera than the others within top gear. He should definitely be hosting with Harris and Reid
This car shows that you don't need something always very extra to make the car fulfilled. You just need the right aero with the right power to weight to make a satisfactory track machine. You look at it and it is such a clean and focused car and no bit extra.
I like the way it sounds. No farting while shifting, just a pure paus of anticipation and then on it again. I would like one with seagull doors but without a the wing. Doors like the 919 would be cool as well
RWD, mid-engined, manual gearbox, lightweight, no electronic driver-aids. Everything about this car is perfect. Only thing it's lacking is a naturally aspirated engine. No turbo lag please.
They actually did their best. To produce 400bhp with a NA, a much bigger engine would be needed and something like a really good 4 litre V8 would work, except the weight would be much higher. Not only that, the weight distribution of the car would be a mess. As the guy said, the lag isn't bad at all.
It's amazing the length to which people go to write the 'it looks like this and that' or 'it has something of this and that' bullshit. HEY GUYS! It has 2 headlights!!! It looks like a CAR!!!!111
nice to hear you can get a proper manual box. i also love that they didnt give it a million horsepower, its a car you can actually push without being on the edge of dying at all times. i think id still rather have a nice v6 swapped miata though, it wouldnt be as fast, but it would be usable as a street car and stupid fun. if i wanted a track only car id get a really loud wild track car.
To get in the car there should be (if I'm not mistaken) sort of a gap in the padding of the seat in the middle of where your legs would be when you sit with "put your foot here" or something like that written on it
Two things they need to do with the successor to this car, if they sell enough units. Put a naturally aspirated/or supercharged V6 in there to keep the weight down and to improve the sound and driving experience. And put a twin clutch or sequential gear system in this thing. Everything else about this car is perfect!
The seating position seems rather rigid. Does the steering wheel and pedals move to fit the driver? How about bolstering? Do any of the panels come off? Would like to see the suspension and frame.
How can you criticize a track car for having a single clutch sequential transmission? That is the standard for race cars. You would turn slower laps with an H gate manual and it would add unnecessary weight to go with a dual clutch. Just drive it like an H gate manual and let off the throttle when you shift and it will be just fine!
Love it, but I have to say my Rossion Q1 does all everything that the Dallara does with more comfort and more style! Plus its actually comfortable enough to drive it everyday if you choose to do so. And it is manual!!!!
Let Papadakis Racing pull another 200bhp from the motor and hey Preston looks like a Noble to me ........Nice......Harris needs to put it through its paces
Circuit de Charade. It's been aggressively shortened since it appeared on the F1 callender in the 70s, but it's an amazing track built on a volcano and aptly referred to as "the French Nurburgring."
this car was intended primarily for track use and then you put this guy on to review it, but who clearly doesn't know how to drive it on track as it should be driven and talk at the same time.....next time use your DRIVER....you've only got one...here's a clue: CHRIS HARRIS
Incredibly underrated in today's supercar media where is all about numbers. Closer to what Gordon Murray does than anybody esle. And both Murray and Dallara are automotive legends.
Exactly - 3-400 hp and sub 1 ton is the sweet spot. Old school Lotus, GMA, ...
What a pure toy. The car actually can be customised to have a T frame to be a Targa or a coupe with doors in a seagull wing style. Also that windshield is removable. Check their site
It looks GOOD with the roof and no wing
Can you elaborate on what a targa and t-frame are?
Dallara makes chassis for indy and f1 etc.. Amazing chassis designers.. Would have loved a high revving NA engine..
... a 6-pot at the very least, instead of a 2.3l 4-pot!
Yea, it sounds like a vaccum cleaner
Dallara makes F2 chassis. The racing teams themselves make their own chassis in Formula 1
@@patrickkelly8512 Dallara makes chasis for HAAS f1
Also make the chassis for the bugatti bolide
i think it's realy a shame that this guy is still on youtube and not doing roadtrips and challenges with Harris and Reid.
i think BBC is wrong
fablo dibongo He is channeling a Harris vibe. Not a bad thing at all when compared to other blokes
Agree. Great journalist. Knows his stuff and a natural on camera.
Yeah I think he could slot and bond well with Chris Harris and Rory Reid. But instead top gear decide to relegate Rory to extra gear and sign 2 unknown arrogant looking guy
I’ve started to like him too.
@Glenda Vasquez ok for the japan girls but i'm still looking or the 720(s).
i hoped to see the girl washing the car
Would love to see this in Forza Horizon 4! Love the Dallara!
Same! Also, do you like Haggis?
@@samwestenskow I’m gonna shock you & say.... yes.
This car has a strange Ferrari 458, TVR Tuscan front feel (lights and curviness for the latter) with a Porsche 918 Spyder rear IMO.
And a bit McLaren senna
beat me to it
it was designed in granstudio by the same guy that designed the 458.
Pretty much nailed it on the head with that
the front looks very lotus exige
First track toy car that actually looks good, unlike most "track toys" it looks proportionate and the front and back look great imo.
Never heard of Dallara...but i wont forget them now...!!! 😁👌
They've been making chassis for various motorsports (Euro & stateside) for years including F1 then and now. HAAS F1 uses them quite extensively.
They make the IndyCar chassis
@@blaisesingleton9327 and f2 f3.. etc
You must be a non racing fan
Dallara is the man who designed the chassis of Lamborghini Miura.........
Even though this only has 395bhp that's fine! It's so tiny, fast, and amazing! I love this car
That rear end looks beautiful.
Looks kind of like a baby McLaren Senna
But comes with a manual and no aids and it's pure downforce and chassis.
Looks 1000x better than a Senna.
Porsche Carrera GT
Nah senna looks better but this looks nice what you mean is
Driving experience 1000X better than the senna
Looks like what the senna should look like. The McLaren Senna is one ugly duckling.

I’m actually really pleasantly surprised with this car, this company will have a good run if hey continue making cars like these

I can't wait for Top Gear Season 26
Dallara Stradale - Bro can I copy your homework.
Mclaren Senna - Yeah bro but dont copy it word for word.
It's amazing the length to which people go to write the 'it looks like this and that' or 'it has something of this and that' bullshit. HEY GUYS! It has 2 headlights!!! It looks like a CAR!!!!111
Oh my... beautiful!
Who doesn't know Dallara isn't a true car guy
His presentation/diction has a Chris Harris vibe. And that’s a good thing!
Will be a joy to drive on the freeway. Wind in the hair ☺️☺️☺️
2.3T engine. 395hp. 4 cylinders. Amazing.
I love it! Would be wild to drive on a tight road/track
Drop an all aluminum LS Chevy V-8 in that with about 475hp and you'd really have a screamer!
@Shock ok
And make the car heavier and destroy weight balance.
Yawn
It was on the new Top Gear tonight 👍
But seriously though,
Where is Chris Harris?

Hey random person scrolling down the comments..
Have a pleasant evening :)
Hahahaha
Thank you, and to you as well.
Oi thanks mate, you too
ur a genius,👍
we need more of this in the world
It is not called Stradale (road) because it is made for the racetrack... It is supposed to be good on curvy roads like you have in the Alps.
Gian Paolo Dallara, one of the three Lamborghini's top engineers (with Paolo Stanzani and Bob Wallace) that made Miura P400 in 1966.
It looks amazing ❤
I didn't know that having no doors is something I wanted
why cant they just make him the main top gear presenter? not cheesy, talks sense and isn't annoying to listen to.
It’s beautiful
If that guy was naturally aspirated, it would be a dream track toy I think.
I LOVE the old school tail lights
Jack would be such a great host for Top Gear.
He would

V6 would be heavier than this turbo i4.
absolutely love it i would only lower the spoiler or just a different 1
Just a tip for the reviewer. The throttle is the pedal on the right. Use it.
Why does it look like a Smart Roadster?
Cannot un-see anymore lol!
Damn there's always someone saying things like this.
Wing is pretty crazy, but im on board with that weight figure
It looks great tbh
Drove this car on the Nürburgring GP - see my video - this car is 🔥🔥🔥😨👍😎
Circuit de Charade 🇫🇷 👌
What track is he at?! So many technical turns and elevation changes!
the rear end is beautiful
im talking about your wife
In my opinion this is far more beautiful then the Radical RXC or the Ultima GTR
I love it. And i hope this is the start of somthing special and not just a one off. Because it seems like it's just too good for that.
Is this host still in the top gear training mode? He doing laps like it’s to a grocery store.
Very high quality video, this
Nice product placement with the patagonia cap
He did bad on his homework. the power to weight ratio is over 460HP not over 640HP.
My first thought. (1000 / 855 )*395 = 462. He said the power to weight ratio is 640 hp without stating the denominator.
@@nemesis4785 the guy here is using almost all metric units so I'd assume he's implying a HP/ton ratio.
Dallara - The Liter bike of sports cars.
what circuit is it?
@Jonathan Sheeran Thx m8
That circuit looks awesome, reminds me of Autumn Track in Gran Turismo !! LOL I so want this car now, but would totally make a louder exhaust...
The seating position seems rather rigid. Does the steering wheel and pedals move to fit the driver? How about bolstering? Do any of the panels come off? Would like to see the suspension and frame.
Clarkson, Hammond, and may were the best
Looks like a McLaren, a Porsche and a TVR had a baby
looks dope with no doors
Can someone compare this to the Aston-Martin Vulcan for me? The Vulcan was previously my "favorite" car, but this may be a contender.
My god is it beautiful
Let’s be honest, you probably thought this was another new McLaren
Awesome thanks
Hoping it was a Chris Harris vid but😣😣
Rocky Fox , indeed. That’s a car Chris Harris should review.
Ever since the Three Amigos left Top Gear... mic drop!

No
@@anderstiller8195 how does IT not
hm, yeah at 4:40 it roughly has the same kind of "duck-shaped" front bumper, though the lights make it look completely different
I reminds of that car as well, and that's a good thing. ;)
Love it, but I have to say my Rossion Q1 does all everything that the Dallara does with more comfort and more style! Plus its actually comfortable enough to drive it everyday if you choose to do so. And it is manual!!!!
Would've like to see this car being pushed and also some off board audio at full throttle because in another video at it sounded like a jet.
Most people have said this is a good road car. You can get it with a full roof too
Let Papadakis Racing pull another 200bhp from the motor and hey Preston looks like a Noble to me ........Nice......Harris needs to put it through its paces
855kg weight ... THAT IS EXTREMELY WELL DONE.
That PATAGONIA cap though... ;)
Wonderful
I had the chance to be a Co-Driver and it was pretty impressive! :-)
She's a beaut!
The future of sportscars doesn't seem that bad now does it?
Charade's race track what a lovely place
Fantastic
What an amazing track ready car! Would love to see it in a Forza game.
WHAT Track is this? Very cool (even though it's slow).
Circuit de Charade. It's been aggressively shortened since it appeared on the F1 callender in the 70s, but it's an amazing track built on a volcano and aptly referred to as "the French Nurburgring."
Looks cool
How do you get out of the car though? Seems like doors would've been a good idea.
On the seat there's a place where you can put your foot saying literally "step here".
neat, makes sense.
Nah, doors are mainstream.
Pagani on the side , Ferrari headlights, McLaren front, Lexus rear 😂 tell me I'm the only one thinking this
Yeah, you're the only one
Looks like a 458 from the front and a Porsche at the back, still want one tho
Imagine that with an engine from the 360CS. 😉
Beautiful car! Form and function!
What a Car I like it
Looks like a TON of fun for a Corvette budget!
I like it!!!! No doubt
I am sure the lack of doors definitely increases the torsional stiffness of the chassis
Lotus in the front, Carrera GT in the back, Ford Focus in the middle 🥴. I’m sure it’s still fun

Probably only Lola can rival Dallara’s expertise in marking race cars...
McLaren and Ferrari are light years ahead of Dallara.
Vikum Wijekoon I wouldn’t say light years, for example Dallara actually helped ferrari develop the 333 SP....
It’s like Porsche maclaren senna and Hennessy had a child
выглядит очень достойно
