      Ah, those things are "fun" to have... By law here we have to have them on to prevent getting a fine from overly bored policemen, so what we do is we clip them on for the ride to the forest, take them off once there and repeat on the way home. Except once I forgot to take them off and one of them managed to hit me in the face when it decided to yeet itself at 45 km/h downhill on a road.

    Cheap ass pro-tip: Those giant zip ties that come with new bike packaging are so big, it's super easy to release the lock with a screwdriver and then you can reuse them again for something else. Giant zip ties do come in really handy. I used the ones that came on my Santa Cruz for years to attach my light batteries to my frame :)

    Diamondback frames have come a long way. Glad to see them back in the fray and there's no denying that you've helped them get alot of exposure. They were a boutique brand back in the 80's when I used to ride BMX (these brands didn't embrace the MTB revolution: Skyway, CW, Mongoose, Redline, Haro) although Mongoose is making strides. Would love to see DB and Mongoose grab some markethshare by lowering prices on high end bikes. Good looking ride BTW

With the pandemic i lost my job so we use the old bikes we buy from the fleemarket or tianguis here in México... we enjoy watching you hacks and how you can ride at the back of you own house. Just so that way you know, you generally don't want to have an o-ring in between the valve stem nut and the rim. The reason for this is this could allow the chamber of a double walled rim to become pressurized. It only really comes up if the rim tape isn't perfect.
    Great video and love the orange!

    • @danielstaelgraeve9522
      @danielstaelgraeve9522 2 года назад

      It wouldn’t pressurize unless every spoke managed to seal up. Most valvestems come with nuts with built in o-rings to go up against the rim. If anything the ring just helps put constant compression on the valve and keeps the nut from backing off.

    • @RustyMTB
      @RustyMTB 2 года назад

    In ‘19 I got a new bike with Hope (DOT fluid) brakes and SRAM AXS shifting. I love the feel of those brakes. They have excellent modulation, especially with heat in them. The AXS shifting is amazing, still.
    Seth, once you get AXS, you won’t go back!

      I test road my friends bike with x01 axs a couple weeks back. I liked it well enough, but honestly liked the xt drive train on my bike more. Don't love the ergonomics of the axs remote.

    The dreaded tire bead seating! I always lightly spray the bead with a bit of soapy water to ease the seating process.

    If you can go to G2 RSC lever to allow for more adjustments. Worldwide and Competitive carry them for replacements. SRAM always needs a bleed after a ride or two. Lots of modulation compared to TRP and Shimano though. Color of the bike looks great! Can’t wait to hear your comparison of air vs coil shock! Hope you had a Merry Christmas as well Seth, especially with your daughter this year!

    Such a good rider!! Nice thing is if you don't like that rear air shock you can always swap it out of your old coil.

    Hey Seth, I recently bought a new trail bike and I’m having trouble setting it up and am looking for some suggestions do you mind doing a full bike setup/bike check video on things like suspension sag, cockpit setup, and tire pressure. Thanks for the amazing video!

    Nice Bike! 🙌
    Blue Valves would do very nice. And the green rails of the saddle don't match much.
    But a black bike with a coil on the rear shock is also very nice!

    I'd be curious to hear what you think of the bike with it slackened a bit. I put a 1.5⁰ angleset on mine and I love it. And this bike LOVES the dpx2. The regressive/progressive curve on the rear does not play that well with a coil, I think you will come to really enjoy it.
