Lets throw in some other good stuff instead! But the purple stuff - traps! There is only one monster I'll ever need! The idea is to have draws hit more impactful cards that can out scarier threats. Preserve the Rhyno! And the Rhyno will preserve you! Skill Successor is definitely the way forward, and I'm so happy the Zuc also stumbled across it! With a flap of a wing and a bonk of his bat, he just keeps hitting! 1x Grand Mole ; The boi that keeps on givin! Just keep bouncing Ryko and poking with Rhynos! 1x Golem Sentry ; Did someone say reusable bounces? 1800 def? Yeah, you better keep setting that same Ryko every turn. Also outs dupe lock! 1x Sirocco ; Just a big boi, but also Vayu/BW hate 1x Gale ; "2500 atk", Black Rose access, and an easy lvl 8 with Sirocco 1x Morphing Jar ; Set 5 is not suspicious with this deck! 1x Fossil Dyna ; Can solo games when protected 1x Gorz 1x Trag 1x MST ; A single main deck out to decree 1x Offerings to Doomed 3x Skill Successor ; Succcchhhhhh a good card! Has two uses, forces their traps on Rhynos, and eats end phase MSTs. Love it! 2x Bottomless 3x DPrison 1x Mirror Force 1x Torrential 1x Compulse 1x Waboku ; Shura + Kalut attacking Rhynos is funny, and you also survive OTK pushes 1x Needle Ceiling ; Torrential #2, can make dupe miss timing 2x Royal Oppression ; Essentially more Bottomless's 3x Accumulated Fortune 3x Jar of Greed 3x Legacy 3x Reckless Greed Side: 1x Dustshoot ; vs any deck that keeps a hand, you want this to be live mid game when you inevitably draw into it 1x Mind Crush ; vs frogs, hero, JD, honest 1x The Transmigration Prophecy ; d.d. crow on steroids! 2x Mystical Wind Typhoon ; more MSTs vs decree and whirlwind 2x Mask of Restrict 2x Nobleman of Crossout ; a set ryko is a rhino's biggest fear 2x Sirocco ; more BW/vayu hate. 1x Waboku ; for BW and other aggressive decks - prevents loss to a heavy/trunade 1x Prohibition ; can shut down streamlined decks like hero beat, but you don't want to draw 2 2x Anti-Spell Fragrance ; dragon turbo? more like dragon slow! The one thing I would add is Des Lacooda! It is amazing to open and helps the grind game so much, especially when you don't see Rhynos. Also he is a Debris target 👀 I wished I saw Rhynos more in my tourney runs. I do like the idea with the Smashing Grounds as target-less removal. I have also considered Widespread Ruin. And probably with advantage rhynos or swap! I am hoping to bring both and maybe do a smaller pod with one and the main event with the other but I am not too sure how it works! Also! I think there will be a steam but it will probably be focused on the main event instead of edison, but who knows! Maybe they will have an edison feature match.that would be wild!
Really like the skill successor tech, and i think that's the cooler version of the deck. Feels like Caius is a little too normal to get that "strange and off the wall" advantage. Still up to you :)
I think the gadget version is way funnier. Also the Spy-caius version kinda looks like most games It plays as a worst synchro cat in most games and i think spicy decks are better when they are a more unique strategy (chain links go brr babyyyy)
1 pot of avarice and main the 2 cydra is my recommendation for all versions of the this. the deep draw stuff has diminishing returns with the monster lineups because it is more likely to hit gadget 345 or 6 or rhino 2 or 3 then the 1st copy of either and in the average circumstance the upstarts are just kinda bad because its only the 1st gadget or rhino that you really wana see. i understand the deck theory of smaller deck = better draws but it does not apply to all decks. the trap ones make sense because they have additional opportunities to go +1 but upstarts i think are actively working against the decks grind and if they were just 3 more non normal summon bodies or just solid interaction i think it would be a small uptick in value. even just value plays like breaker or spirit reaper are probably fine there.
I think the GK version is considerably worse because it doesn't play to the unique strengths of the deck, making it just synchro cat with much worse kill potential. Your opponent might not be prepared for the rhino gadget MU, which makes it much better in a tournament setting. You know, as much as this sounds like a meme, what if you smokescreen into chain burn in the gadget version to fix the time problem?
From your videos alone, it seems like Gadget Rhynos is the better choice in large part because it operates along a line of play that most other decks dont. Not only do you gain advantage regularly from your own cards, you frequently take card advantage away from your opponent by making their cards do little to nothing

I like the gadget version a lot more. Obviously it's very mentally taxing, but it seems like a deck that you can kind of get into a flow with. Honestly the merit of the gadget version is that it represents a style of game and axis of play that many people just aren't prepared to operate on.
It does play so differently from the boss monster meta! I agree it is about finding that groove! It is so complex, but you basically only have 2 plays - summon rhynos or gadget😄 most of the energy is effective use of trap cards which is hopefully something one can practice at and come naturally! It doesn’t work! I wish it did! And speaking of winds, if the spiritual wind art didn’t tribute for cost, it would be so good! Definitely an under explored attribute in edison! And maybe I will work on a desert twister variant haha😄
I tried the caius rhynos build at my locals...and it's just not doing it. Maybe I'm playing sub optimally, but I feel I played it better overall with the gadgets.

Pineapple blast and needle ceiling are just SO CLOSE. To being broken. As a side deck option maybe I should throw in one of each. They have so much strength in certain match ups. I wish pineapple was more chainable for rhynos though!
I don't remember if you ever tried Ultimate Offering with Winged Rhynos, since you pretty much always have a Rhynos to summon on top of whatever you'd like to play that turn
I think the Gadget version is better but ya like you mentioned time could be an issue. If the tournament is using current modern time rules you could just side some burn cards. Also idk why you wouldn't play dustshoot that card is 100% staple. Rug should also be sided. Its probably the best side deck trap along with DDV. Could side Royal Oppression as well. Just side out Gorz/Trag for 2x Oppression in very special summon heavy matchups like Plants/HeroFrogs.
I worry that the gadget rhynos deck might end up going to time in tournament. In which case, i worry that it’s a suboptimal deck if your opponent takes an early lp lead from bouncing Rhynos and getting in
I think we could run a hybrid with one or two caius but I personally prefer the trap control build with one of each gadget plus patchy and banisher in the main plus macro in the side cuz I’m degenerate like that 😂
THE LEGEND! Such a good point. The only time I went into time with rhynos was when I wasn’t playing smashing ground and my opponent decided to not attack and sit on android. We went into time on game 1. And then I decked out. It was the strangest game I’ve ever played But hopefully nothing like that will happen again! And with the updates it seems unlikely
I like the chain version but gadgets + turbo draw is sus. Personally I would replace them with a different package. A rat or tomato or even an Emmersblade package would have higher quality creatures that don't brink off the card draw.
The Recklesses in the Gadget build are likely going to force you into wonky multi Gadget hands, and with no Fortress to use them with they essentially are just 'pseudo advantage' at that point. Maybe playing 1 Fortress 1 Gearframe or a Wing Blast if you want to go that route. Personally I like the 'good stuff' list but with just the 2 Spy rather than the whole GK package.
testing out good goblin over reckless in the gadget version and it does seem to be working a bit better! But pseudo advantage is a good way of phrasing a lot of the gadget version. But personally really loving the skill successors in that version! And I agree that I have definitely not cracked the code on the good stuff version yet. I think 2 spy could definitely be correct. Skill successor feels like a big step for the gadget version and maybe the good stuff version just needs like one or two new cards to iron out the problems!
I’d say go with sasuke QuickDraw. While it can brick, it is far more adaptable in a greater variety of situations, while this deck dies to royal decree. But I’m not you and I’m sure either of these decks can do well.
Ah yes the decree problem! I agree with what you are saying, it could definitely be a meta call. Sasuke is definitely more versatile against a wider meta, but maybe rhynos is better if there are a ton of blackwings/vayu? Thank you for your suggestion!

Let me give you some bullet points so you can craft it on your own: - Dark World - Treasure Map - Swift Birdman Joe, Dandylion tokens I'm using Quickdraw, which doesn't discard, but is a Wind + has great synergy with dandy
Play GGH so you can play magical hats for the memes... GGH can send back dead accumulateds, extra gadgets, can be activated at any time for rhino, free chain link to turn on accumulated fortune... underrated card imo. Magical hats can send GGH to grave or skill successor
I still think if you wanna play rhynos you GOTTA run the OTHER best 1800 beater, one that can remove your opponents back row??? One that can get you another monster thats IMMUNE TO TRAP CARDS??? the blue gadget himself???? If you have room for all these gadgets that basically do nothing but get eaten by cyber dragon you have room for a Stratos and a wild heart that's all I'm saying. Plus wildheart in defense beats gadget gamers
rhynos caius is probably the best one so far, then gadget rhinos (the funnier version of rhynos), then sasuke. That said, please play sasuke at the nationals, it is the funniest by far and only at the cost of.. well, you probably losing the tournment hahahah

I made a very good Chain Strike variant of the deck but also it runs Morphing Jar with triple Mask of Darkness

Such good advice! I will definitely consider oppression and dustshoot is so strong! I wish rug wasn’t a counter trap but it still could be worth it!

Play GGH so you can play magical hats for the memes... GGH can send back dead accumulateds, extra gadgets, can be activated at any time for rhino, free chain link to turn on accumulated fortune... underrated card imo.
Magical hats can send GGH to grave or skill successor
honestly it is probably the move over reckless! and magical hats would just be too funny. I love it

I still think if you wanna play rhynos you GOTTA run the OTHER best 1800 beater, one that can remove your opponents back row??? One that can get you another monster thats IMMUNE TO TRAP CARDS??? the blue gadget himself???? If you have room for all these gadgets that basically do nothing but get eaten by cyber dragon you have room for a Stratos and a wild heart that's all I'm saying. Plus wildheart in defense beats gadget gamers

rhynos caius is probably the best one so far, then gadget rhinos (the funnier version of rhynos), then sasuke. That said, please play sasuke at the nationals, it is the funniest by far and only at the cost of.. well, you probably losing the tournment hahahah
