We want to get people excited about building fast cars and trucks. How crappy would it be if you were building something and nothing was going right and all you saw on our channel were things done perfectly in one shot? We want to keep it true to the work to show y'all that it ain't always easy but the outcome is always worth it! Thanks so much for the support!
it's so funny to see all the lessons learned. no bed floor so you can see the smoke, driveshaft and other things ASAP if you hear a clunk? Looking good fellas.
Y'all. Mannnnnn. This truck is one for the ages. Complete fire. Close second to the Chevelle you are building. Dream vehicles for me. Hot damn it is killer
From the factory there is a washer between the bumper bracket and the bumper. Keeps the brackets from denting the bumper when you tighten it down. I know you have custom bumper brackets but might be something to check out.
Thanks for sharing all the steps - good or bad / As an enthusiast that has never owned an automatic I don’t understand what you’re dealing with. Paint & fab is KillA though - Thanks!
Thanks for watching! Manuals are definitely the way to go for simplicity sake. As you can tell, trying to merge all of the different ECUs and TCUs and hard parts together gets to be a headache!
Notice on the dyno the Holley EFI dash wasnt working, it didnt read anything, so that needs fixed and most likely is part or all of the problem. If that does not resolve it you can always make it a manual and never worry about it again or a TH400.
The dash displays correctly. It won't show ECU or TCM output when hooked up to a laptop though. The laptop screen takes the place of the dash at that point
All the trouble to get everything Dialed in makes an LS swap appear to be more than I can handle. I could bolt it in but making it run right seems to be quite an issue. It takes a team!
We're blessed to have a great team here! Honestly, LS swaps aren't all the difficult to get working. That's if you're using a manual transmission though. Trying to pair all the controllers with an automatic transmission is where the headaches start to pop up!
Hmm, I don't agree with Andrew. The last dyno session looked everything but successful. If you can't put the car under load reliably then something is still very wrong. That's what stress tests are there for - or am I wrong? But I am looking forward to your next episode about Dimebagged. Maybe we get some in depth explanations what was going on :) Love your content, guys, keep up your amazing work!
The truck will go under load fine and we've been able to street tune the car without an issue. The issue we're having isn't necessarily with the motor or the transmission working correctly together. We're just not able to lock it down in to a lower gear and you really just can't do 6k rpm dyno runs in 6th gear, because that won't end very well. It puts too much stress on the machines. Thanks for all the support though! We can't wait to show you this truck completely finished!
In our case, it just doesn't have the proper features we needed to lock down a lower gear on the dyno (among some other small tuning things). But other than that, it controls our transmission fine. Just lacking some software features in our opinion
We're using Holley's newest TCM. I don't think the TCM is necessarily the issue by itself, but it's having trouble pairing with our specific transmission. It's perfectly fine and functioning on normal and even some spirited driving. But our problems pop up when we try to lock down a specific gear for tuning.
It's usually a mix between who has availability to get us on the Dyno and who has the capability to work with the engine/trans/ecu set up we're running!
What do they say? 80 percent takes 20 percent of your time, but the 20 percent of the build takes 80 percent of your time. What torque converter is that? Circle D?
Yup! We got a circle D in this thing. And definitely. That last 20 percent always seems to drag on. Especially when you want to just get it back on the road!
If someone can't keep their mouth shut, it costs 80 million dollars. If a child peeled the flesh off the bone while playing around with the tailpipe of the exhaust - how much would that cost? A worried father from Germany
It would cost the child's father whatever the material + labor is to repair the damage done while playing around with something that isn't theirs. Life is about accountability and awareness.
@@SalvagetoSavage That's what I was afraid of - English is not my language, Google has to translate for me. I wanted to say: what if a child falls while playing and then injures themselves on this sharp-edged exhaust part? Do you have something like manufacturer liability?
Love that you guys show that it doesn’t always work first time and that it’s not perfect like some build channels

The sound of that beast is amazing and the rumble is unbelievable.
We thought it sounded good revving in the shop, but hearing it on the road is 100x better!
What exhaust is that 🤩🤩
Your honesty and transparency with all the tests you do is admirable!! Congrats!!
Thank you! We try to keep it as real with y'all as we possibly can!
This ones going to be a monster!! So clean, Love that you show all the ups and downs of all your builds!
We're stoked you like the build and the content! Thank you for the support
It’s the little deets that get you tangled up. Looks good Mikey & Crew! 🏆
it's so funny to see all the lessons learned. no bed floor so you can see the smoke, driveshaft and other things ASAP if you hear a clunk? Looking good fellas.
We tend to learn our lessons pretty quickly! Especially when they come from expensive mistakes! lol
Well. It looks beautiful. When all the gremlins are sorted out what a lucky Dude that will be.
A couple more little things to put our hands on and then she'll be ready to head out into the world!
Y'all. Mannnnnn. This truck is one for the ages. Complete fire. Close second to the Chevelle you are building. Dream vehicles for me. Hot damn it is killer
Thank you! We're going to be giving y'all some chevelle and continental content soon too!
18:00 that's a tuner from AdamLZ channel back a while, loved that guy.
He really did an awesome job. Especially dealing with all the BS happening with our TCU
Respect for pushing through the struggles guys!
Gotta do what ya gotta do to get em rolling! Thanks for watching!
Nice! Not to many issues, glad you didn’t slide out the door Mike!
Sounds good seems to drive good!
See ya next week!
Can't wait!
If was easy everyone would be doing it . Another great video Guy's
Thank you so much!
Looks great, hopefully you will get the transmission sorted out soon. Love your work.
I hope so too! That way we can really get it ripping!
Them wheels are Sick! Dope build. 🤘🏽
Glad you like them!
Showing your test drive 'greatest hits' (or should I say misses), reminds me that ya'all are human...I keep forgetting that!
Everyone makes mistakes. You just gotta figure out how to learn from em!
Some universal rule on first drives: having no bed floor doesn't prevent you from running out of gas. 😁😜🤟
Oh, we know that one first hand! lol

Only a handful of RUclips automotive channels are brave enough to show the uh-ohs. Hat's off to ya and beautiful truck!

you had me at the lift 1:14 .... 🙌
Nothing beats a bagged C10!
😮 WOW! Nice work, fellas... She's gorgeous! 😍🤤
Thank you!!
Sounds sick
Stance is perfect too
Thank you!
Thanks again
Always welcome!

Happy Wednesday Luis! Hope your week is going great!
🎉 godzilla godzilla 😊😊😊😊 been waiting
We've been making some good progress with it! We have 2 or 3 episodes coming out really soon!
@@SalvagetoSavage 💖🤩
Coming together nicely boys. If I may make a suggestion, the dash needs some stainless trim, too much brown everywhere
We'll see if we can find a way to spice up the dash without going overboard!

That truck just needs some Altman easy latches for that door not shutting
Definitely needs a latch upgrade!
-How low you want your ride?
-Yes
You ain't really scraping until you're bending license plates! lol
I know you all will square that TCU issue away. Too easy!
Golden🎉
Wouldn't that be nice to have billet wiper arms?
It would honestly be nice to have billet EVERYTHING! lol
I wonder what was wrong with the trans controller because I’m having a similar issue with my swap?

Where did you get the custom dimebagged c10 badge on the fenders?!

I noticed on the second dyno run that the dash wasn’t responding…..is that common?
The dash wasn’t reading the data, because he’s laptop was plugged in
awesome truck
Thank you!
It's the last 2% of work that takes many hours to complete.
It's probably the most important part too!
🤩🤩🤩
💪👊👏
What kinda trans is in it?
It's a 6L80
🤙✌️
It’s a 65? Not a 75
Neither its 67 thru 72
It's a 72. Got the number wrong in the title! Thanks for looking out!

Such trash work. Yall should be wrenching for Crap Monkey Garage 😂😂😂
