- Remove the weapon or at least remove the High Power Capacitor option on it. Seems like having the railgun and railtank added to the game was DICE admitting they couldn't fix the desync in Battlefield 2042 or at the very least them giving up trying to address the issues related to it since the obvious way to mitigate the most of it and make it less noticeable is by slowing vehicles down and limiting their mobility. Otherwise they are just too fast for the server to keep up. One of many examples of this: • Battlefield 2042 RAILI...
Anyways just a bunch of Rorsch MK-4 railgun footage that wasn't related to other themed videos. A few nice shots and some funny ones, well funny to me anyways. Genuinely I do think the railgun and railtank should be removed, they feel too out of place in a Battlefield game still in a near future era especially with so many items in the game the same as modern era items just their numbers incremented...it's not C4 it's C5...
Also sure would be nice if the 8x and other optics had their ADS speed returned to what it was at launch for bolt-action sniper rifles. Especially considering that launch 8x scope-in-time for sniper rifles was the same as BF4's and BF1's 8x scope-in-time.
Side note, the railgun in BF4 was similarly bad or broken. However it was a pick-up weapon which brings me to the following topic. I wonder if someone at DICE saw the pick-up weapons in BF4 and thought "why don't we add something similar to BF2042 but let everyone equip/use it". It would explain the NTW-50 damaging vehicles and one shotting infantry since there was the M82A3 and AMR-2, the SPH explosive launcher because of the M32 MGL, depending on what version of BF2042 you were playing the 12M AUTO being similar to the USAS-12. No real point to this topic just pointing out that frustrating or annoying weapons like that existed in BF4 but were far more restricted or limited.

That's what always blew me away. Fine make it an infantry weapon with bolt delay but 20 rounds when most snipers get less than 10?
I saw why they nerfed the railgun from its launch but seriously, you're gonna nerf a railgun that's meant to be anti vic and turn it into the easiest snap shooter with the highest mag cap pretty much and didn't expect this at least drop it to 10rnds or somethin an increase weapon sway or somethin damn!😄😄@@alb.88

Does this gun even have bullet speed or it’s just instantaneous?
160 shots, insane projectile speed and almost zero bullet drop, thermal scopes, 12x scope. Snipers are obsolete.
Have gotten a 10 KP/m game once on Breakthrough Chaos.

As powerful as it is in the right hands, I hardly see anyone use it. Desync might be a big issue but railgun usage really isn't.
I hardly ever get killed it from console players too. I feel like on console it’s super unpopular

the rorsch is my one of my main two weapons, the ghostmaker being the other one
and its very rare that i see someone else using it
my main focus with, it is to go after chopper sweats who otherwise get 60-0 all day otherwise, for that its very usefull, and i think it wouldnt be good to remove it

People use it all the time. Gotten a 150 kill game on Breakthrough Hourglass once. Gun is crazy busted.
@@griffin1366I’m not disagreeing that it’s powerful, but it doesn’t help that the maps with massive skyscrapers are virtually uncounterable when you snipe on them.

If the mk-1 was in the game it would be way better than this thing. Better balanced. As long as its damage to vehicles was limited like it was in bf4.
@@Leach-ez7dq yeah true, 2042 is tryna be BF4 but it cant. Which is sad tbh (side note the MK-4 looks ugly and sounds terrible as well, MK-1 sounded like it was a railgun etc etc)
If it was a battle pick up like the Rorsch Mk-1 from bf4 was then I don’t think it would be as frustrating. But it’s not going to get removed because it’s hardly used

Almost no bullet drop, hitscan weapons should not be in Battlefield.

@@diegradebanane You either didn't pay attention or YOU watched a different video, there is a couple clips where he leads shots on far out enemies, even though I've never played the game, that clearly indicates the weapon isn't hitscan, otherwise he could just aim directly at the enemy no matter the range.
The furthest headshot i saw in this vid was close to 600 meters(596/97)away. He was spot on, not compensating for bullet drop. I dont think we can call it a bullet in that case bkt you get it.
WHEN he aimed in front of the enemy either he missed, or changed targets cause LoS or just he had better targets. Like all kills are spot on. Either we have a different view on hitscan weapons, or we saw 2 different videos for me that looks a lot like a hitscan weapon.

Feel like the NTW is DICE acknowledging they created a methodical, slow, 1-tap body shot sniping system(Martini) in BF1 that some people enjoy and tried to copy paste that into 2042 more so than copy the AMR.

Well, he did the same with Liz's launcher and it failed. He did the same when he named all of his loadouts as a plea to change the 8x scope-in speed. They're nerfing other guns, but they're evidently ignoring shit and intentionally ruining already shit guns. Sraw anyone?

What gun would you even use anymore? They always specifically nerf the ones that you vaguely tolerate and the automatic weapons feel cheap as styrofoam.

For console players sure the G428 would feel OP, on PC with the nerfs it's receive it's a mess and doesn't have the easy of use controllers get by default.

The 2042 subreddit would probably try to downplay you. Believe me, I checked. People tried to downplay the RM68 as it was getting more and more prevalent, people tried to downplay the VHX as it was getting more and more prevalent-and people on there are convinced the BSV-M and 12M Auto are NOT even ANNOYING at MINIMUM.
They won’t even try to argue about the lack of bullet drop and high mag capacity & reserve ammo, it is just “le skill issue” to them. Wonder if these are the same people who were in favor of the USAS Frag rounds. Ridiculous.
its honestly fascinating that the battlefield fans dont complain about this thing more. Its already busted in conquest but in breakthrough and rush where people are more clumped the railgun just nukes the lobby.

Its one of the mysteries of the universe how dice hasn't nerfed the damn thing yet. My idea would be to either make the sniper ver. have a smaller mag or make the wind up like 2x longer but let you left click to start wind up and again at the end to shoot like a normal sniper. A damn railgun would be meant for quite long range sniping yet you can currently run about all willy nilly sniping a team of 10 or so from 50m away. Honestly anything is better than that
They did nerf it. It used to charge up way faster. Now it's almost a full second charge time

Love seeing you RAIL people with this GUN but I got a little sick with how many bodies you dropped in one clip. It definitely needs to be removed or nerfed.
Damn, like shooting fish in a barrel! The railgun is definitely OP in the hands of someone skilled with it. I do prefer watching Ravic videos when he’s using guns other than the railgun, it’s more entertaining to watch with more variety.

Simple. Never use the other ammo types, they aren't worth it at all.
You aim is devilish Ravic, yet it always amazes me how random PC players move around like AI bots, I mean you don't really need them to keep walking in a straight line after being hit to be good 😂

Does the MK4 has any bullet drop? Usually havent seen that much in BF2042 compared to how it was back in BF4
Yes it does it just isn't noticeable unless you are shooting at long ranges because it has a high muzzle velocity.

The rail gun doesn't feel like a sniper rifle to me. Its just too high tech. I like the bolt action rifles. I just wish they would add more since there's only 5 to choose from.

Well, how else are you supposed to get a high k/d because you shoot across the map at people that aren't looking at you because they're in a firefight with the rest of your team?
I would say leave the gun in the game but lower it's charge up per shot to 5 seconds.

Normal players can't aim the way you do brother. The railgun has so much idle sway on console that barely anyone even uses it

I'm a fusion rifle user in destiny 2 so once I realized u can use the 3 round burst like a fusion rifle I've been beaning ppl left and right almost like ravic here. but only at closemidish to long range. the pre charge is exactly like a fusion rifle so I got used to it quickly. 🤣🤡😈

Not a fan of this gun. It’s more challenging to use than the crossbow lol. But since the game is finally feeling good again I may give it another shot 🤷♂️

These clips are dope, but I don’t think they are evidence the gun is broken in the way everyone thinks. I’m a dedicated railgun user, usually top of the lobby leader boards or up there.
The rail is so buggy… charging shots will sometimes make a sound or just dead quite making it hard to predict the shot. Sights on this gun feel off too. Half the time it’s impossible to get shots off at range because sight and actual bolt fired from gun don’t match up 1 to 1 unless it’s my internet.
The gun is noobish, sure. Almost instant flight path and the ammo is insane for what it is. That being said, I could wreck anyone with a railgun.. if you and your team are getting peppered by railgun fire, then y’all need to work together more… sadly it’s a you thing
To add to my point, communication is the worst it’s ever been in 2042, no one has comms, or all chat is turned off, making it so easy for one person to fuck up a lobby because everyone is in their own lil universe…. Guns n vehicles isn’t what makes 2042 literally trash that I keep playing… but the complete isolation ever player has in a lobby…

What y’all are angry about has nothing to do with guns.. this whole game is literally shit… there is nothing to motivate teamwork or anything. This is the worst BF ever specifically because on the anti team work every side suffers from.

I've been watching your videos for years now and notice despite being as good as you are I think you still suffer from target rich environment syndrome definitely better then most at handling it but I see you hesitant on players sometimes when you get overwhelmed by numbers. I was really just wondering how you deal with that and what you think in moments like that?
In any previous Battlefield game it's way easier to make those decisions. You can easily tell who is shooting at you and who is shooting you. In BF2042 it's a sh!tshow because of crossplay. Console players with bad wifi or whatever console lag that is included with them results in shots that shouldn't land actually hitting you and there are so many more of them pretending to be Mark Wahlberg on the hills in the distance. It's best to just limit the number you have to deal with using cover ( Angel box sometimes works for this ) so it's easier to pick them off one at a time and assume at all times that some console player is prone in a random spot off to your side waiting for you to not move.

To be fair Ravic from what we can glean from your videos you seem like you’ve been exclusively using the railgun for over a year now, why the sudden change of heart?

I've been trying to get it nerfed into the ground or removed the way everything else was. At launch I was using the SWS/DXR with 8x ( my loadout ), it was nerfed making it useless in 1v1 fights, I switched to the GVT ( my loadout of it ) nerfed to no longer one shot to the head at all ranges, they introduced the Rorsch around that same time so I switched to it. I've been hoping and expecting them to remove it or nerf it into the ground like they did every other thing I used regularly. Nothing has changed for me so it's just a different video title for another railing video although it seems some of the leads have changed at DICE so maybe it could result in some changes. Not like any vehicle main is ever putting up videos or video descriptions stating how unbalanced the vehicles have been in BF2042 since launch and how it's only gotten worse over time.
