My boyfriend has long hair and sometimes people hurl abuse at him in the street or just point and laugh... I really don't know why... people are odd, but I think it suits him.
Yes. To quote the late Jim Morrison " ppl are strange" hahaha
I wish the lass I've been seeing liked long hair but she wants me to get it trimmed lol, I used to have it down to my upper back
People are agressive when they see others who are unafraid to be themselves.
Hopefully your long haired boyfriend gets the hint, no one wants him around as long as he has long hair!!!!!
@@ralphjames1211 Hopefully you get the hint! Nobody wants you with your opinions!!!!
I've always cut my hair short... to the point where I look like a soldier... but, I noticed that the look is played out. I've decided to grow my hair for the first time. It's pretty exciting to be honest!
Time for an update. How far did you get and did you embrace the viking mane? I have had mine for years and every time I have gone anything resembling short I have regretted it every time. Unless it falls out on it's own it will never be above the shoulder ever again.
@@DK1105-k3c I think he cut it a month aftet he commented *sigh*
Same
I'm a man and I have really long hair. People tell me to cut it but I find no valid reason on which I have to cut. That's why I'm here.
Same here
I used to have long hair. Now I have no hair. *sigh*
Kristen is right, you do comment on a lot of her videos.
Rami Ayer Isn't interaction the point of RUclips?
Lol of course it is. :P It's pretty cool that you got a mention from her, btw.
In my salad days my crowning achievement was mane of strawberry blonde locks, but by my senior year I was bald as a plucked chicken. For you see Simpson, I too know the sting of male pattern baldness.
tetsubo57 me too man now I'm bald.
Just like women, men should have absolute freedom how long they would like their hair.
They have.
Yes open-minded men who aren't afraid to snub their noses against the establishment have that freedom, as long as they are prepared to ignore the hateful stares and comments. I even came across a RUclips video from an ultra-conservative Christian channel who said that it is a Sin for men to have long hair. Go figure when almost all illustrations of Jesus have him with long hair. Then again, the establishment crucified him.
Me2Michelle The rebellion is part of the procces :p i feel it actualy helps me to accept ppl are going to judge what i do, and i dont have to hide who i am because of them.
The bible does not forbid men to have long hair. Jesus actually had short hair.
how would you know. did he told ya when you where praying? oh right he doesnt talk. you cant see him, and you cant smell him. You only 'feel' it or imagine some situations are 'steered' right. short haired jesus.... jesus xD
Some schools still have rules for growing out hair for boys, in my school for instance, I grew my hair out up till my shoulders, or even less, and they wouldn't let me attend classes or do my exams if i don't shorten it... can we all agree that this is sexist? why the hell are girls allowed to have afros and waist high hair while boys aren't allowed to grow past shoulder length... it's absurd. Can any guy relate to this?
I find long hair to be beautiful. To me it shows that someone cares about themselves and knows how to care for themselves to keep their hair nice enough to keep it long. It also shows patience and dedication. To me, long hair is something that tells me that this person may be good relationship material.
or too poor for a haircut...
I think that most anyone can find a pair of scissors and chop it off if they wanted to.
Blagaflaga Ok, but I was talking strictly hair, not race. Don't be turning it into something it isn't. I just like long hair. Doesn't matter who has it.
Blagaflaga Black people's hair can grow the same length. It just goes more frizzy, but you can straighten it to get the same effect. (I'm pretty sure; correct me if I'm wrong any black people)
well Bob Marley had pretty long dreads...
Long hair for the win!!! Feels good to feel different than the rest of short haired men ahhhhhh yeahh
Feels good to not be a fucking hairless scrub, I've not shaven a part of my body ever, my money has never been spent on a razor either
I cut my long hair today xD
I'd rather conform and be safe than stand out and becoming an easy target!!!!
I think long hair generally looks attractive on men. Not that it's better than short hair, just a preference. Especially combined with a short, neat beard.
That Viking look 😍
long hair attractive on men? HA! You're wrong, brother! Long hair makes a man look like a woman, unless they cut it into a mullet, then it will make them look like Joe Dirt Trash!!!!!!!!!
@@ralphjames1211 Just because you think something doesn't automatically mean that it's a fact 😌💅
@@ralphjames1211 You come off as really insecure, ngl.
lol most people keep their hair short so they dont have to care for it .....
Best
ha
true, that's why also older woman tend to cut their hair short
It also looks clean and kept up.
Long hair is pretty maintenance free too, for me. Wash it, dry it, brush it, tie it back, forget it.
I’m 21 and my manager said I had to cut my 10 inch dreads for my bartender job, I hate the fact that I’m black and my ancestors were brought to this country by force by Europeans, and 500 years after that I’m still forced to follow European beauty standers if I want to make in life, life is the definition of not fair.
its been a year and i hope you’ve left that job, if they use racist beauty standards then they don’t deserve to have you working there
Aside from all the hair history, we get to learn about the nightcap and the doilies, the two great unanswered questions arising from visits to grandparents' home.
Great vid Cristen! :)
But men with long hair is the most beautiful thing :( wish it was more common.
Hello :)
Honestly.
As long as scoriasis and male pattern baldness plages men, you're not gonna see a lot of long hair, just more clean shaven heads!!!!!! Sorry about that, but the stress brought on by sea level rise and global climate change has brought on a shit load of stress to a lot of men, which leads to hair fallout and bald patterns!!!
I wish that opinion was more common
Everyone around me has short hair, so I decided to keep my hair long. BOOM! Take that society!
Well I had short hair back in school and my hair is really curly so it was very puffy. I tried growing it out and once my hair was weighted down the curls looked nice. My hair looks better long then short. Some people look very bad with short hair others look better with it depends on the hair and the person whatever the gender.
Well said. It's 2014… wear your hair however you choose!
Thanks! Glad to hear. :-)
I think short hair is just stupid, and everybody looks much hotter with long hair (if they have enough of it), regardless of gender. Then again, I'm bisexual with a fetish for long hair, and my own hair is longer than even that of most of my female friends, let alone my male ones.
I know this comment was made a long time ago, but what if they’re black? Our hair is more fluffy and curly so it can sometimes just puff up instead of get long.
@@user-pp8ru6uu1s I love wild afros. 😊
Informative and amusing. Thanks, Cristen!
I'm a dude and my hair reaches to my waist. I'm constantly told to cut it, to which I ask 'Why?' and the answer is usually, 'Men shouldn't have their hair long.' to which I reply, 'Women shouldn't have their hair short :-P '
Valid argument even thought it's equal both ways nice comeback
I'd be so jealous. I wish I could have long hair.
how ppl are so easily dominated by those kinds of norms that they never question, and as machines just repeat what is told with no creativityat all, is always going to mesmerize me..
Why is it that women are more feminine if they have longer hair? I am actually growing my hair back out after having it extremely short and always heard people who had comments about short haired women being gay....why is it assumed if a woman has short hair, she is gay? I am married with 2 kids, another baby on the way so I definitely don't fit that stereotype even though my hair was almost shaved.
When I have my hair long, I have power over me.
My hair is down to the middle of my ribcage, and I'm a guy.
never cut it pls omg
I won't :)
Did you cut it?
Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer HE HAD LONG HAIR!!
Isaac Newton was a theoretical physicist, mathematician, philosopher HE HAD LONG HAIR!!!!
Elisha was a prophet. He was bald and had bears maul 42 children when they made fun of him for it. We win.
Yes, but da Vinci and Newton were REAL PEOPLE, not fictional characters from a fictional book...................................................
I love guys with long hair, but today it's pretty rare. I always wondered why...I mean, at most private schools the boys are required to have hair about the ears, while girls can have any length they want.
Fun fact, the caesar cut came about because Julius Caesar was balding and was really self-conscious about it. He would keep the sides cut short, but would grow the top out as long as he could and would comb it forwards.
@@northernwarrior9567 yeah you look pretty Nazi to me, even your name is about what you talk about.
Many men also have long hair and it looks really cool often
Thanks Ann

Money and power! I never would have guessed!
I actually read an excerpt from a book I stumbled across on Amazon that stated a lot of the hair loss problems men suffer are due to the fact that their hair is too short. Short hair creates a weaker scalp and allows from increased exposure to the sun. Men are supposed to have long hair.
Short hair is for ppl who are slaves of companies and long for ppl who dont have to rely on big companies
Length of hair is about who's got the money and the power, and who hasn't. But mostly it's about who's got the hair. Ask a balding male.
I simply think long hair looks better on everyone. Well, that doesn't prevent me from donating my long hair to cancer patients, who are bald bald because of chemotherapy.
Da fuq
I really don't care how anyone wears there hair. So many guys like to be more practical and keep the hair shorter to focus on more important things than hair nowadays. I think that hair is something that people should stop judging people on so much. Like a famous singer once said "I am not my hair." The man makes the style, not the other way around.
*****
Is this sarcasm I hear? Now, I can understand the length of someone's hair or certain styles people choose to wear, but some things are just a no go. Be lucky that's all they do. Modifying your mohawk in the style of a penis and jewels can be seen as inappropriate and may be against the law depending on whether the laws their find it inappropriate or not.
***** Turkmenistan is a pretty screwed up place though. They don't even allow men to have facial hair like beards either, and you know how positively many people think about facial hair. I have long hair also, but nobody has said anything to me about it. And even if they do, what would it matter to me? My hair is clean, well kept, and is not shaped or styled to be offensive in any way. Besides, it is my hair. Those who would judge me are not the ones taking care of it. They don't have to get up and look at it in the mirror everyday, and they do not fund me for any products or styles I may get. Anyone's opinions about my hair would be taken into consideration, but not brainlessly followed (if anyone actually had an opinion they would voice to me). People who would judge someone harshly for simply the length of their hair (regardless of the fact that it is neat, clean, taken care of, and unoffensive) are wrong. How will me changing do any good when they are the one's with the problem? I will only be enabling their ignorance and stupidity. But I say cut it if that is what you want. Just don't let anyone make you feel like you have to. You aren't in Turkmenistan, are you? LOL
Fun fact: a similar trend is also found in ancient Mesoamerica. According the elders working along side various bishops, long hair was only acceptable for the nobility and priest class. In a style similar to prerevolution France, the 3 classes were strictly separated, although one could rise up the chances were minuscule. Similarly, facial hair was only for the nobility and priestly classes. If you were a farmer or soldier (like 98% of the population) and a male, they'd put a cloth soaking in boiling water on your face as an infant to burn the hair follicles so you couldn't grow a beard. This is why many indigenous Americans don't have a gaudy viking beard, or only grow facial hair much later in life compared to those with more European ancestry.
In regards to the greeks. Alexander the Great had a major influence on the short hair trend of greece and rome as he felt it interfered with fighting as it gave someone something to grab. Some cultures used oil to prevent this from happening, but having short hair reduced transportation issues with the oil.
@Rajden short hair sometimes suits a persons face more
l like it when a man has good long healthy hair on his head.
Ironically, I'm married to a man with a preceding hair line!👴
That was really interesting!
I have long hair, getting thinner at 49 now, though. I'm jealous of Cristen's hair.
i have short hair so i don't have to style it each day and i don't have to maintain it.
That looks like a Triforce on your shirt....

I'm a man and my hair is growing and i am never cutting it again.
Because i want to see how long it will go.
I might just stop at waist-length though.
A lot of the reason men are 'supposed' to wear their hair short today is due to WWII. The look of the returning GI from WWII was clean shaven with short hair and thus that became the look of the All American man. However as has been previously stated, the only actual reason for the short hair and clean shaven look was to prevent lice and other infectious things such as disease. Notice in Law Enforcement and the Armed Forces, women are not required to cut their hair short thus proving their is zero tactical/security reason for the short hair. It is in fact a matter of aesthetics based on a near 80 year old notion of what a man should look like.
Yeah but they have to get their hair in tight bun or ponytail and yes it's for tactical reasons.
Then have them shave it off like guys do. They won't do it though. There are officers I work with whose hair reaches below their posterior, but they're simply asked to put it up into a large bun. That bun can still be grabbed. If it was for the same reason as men, they would be made to cut it as short as men.
Just realized why they call it a Caesar cut. I'm an idiot.
Well in anime logic... Long hair = MORE POWER!!!
omg, when you started talking about the bear fat in men's hair and night caps and doilies on furniture, like, my mind was blown. I had to stop the video to soak all of that in. o.o
Long hair on men is more attractive
FWIW: Two things that I *did not* mention in my previous comment on October 7th...which YT *is not* allowing me to reply to directly for some reasom: (1) Short hair IS easier to take care of, although about all I do with my {long and NOT curly} hair now is wash & comb/brush it out; (2) Having my hair 'laying' over my ears & neck has *never* bothered me, but in *warm weather* if I DO NOT have my hair tired back, my ears and neck where my hair is resting tend to get *hot* to the point where I start perspiring. In cooler weather however, this becomes an asset...
My hair is long and awesome :D
My boyfriend has hair longer than mine. For some reason I've always found long hair on men attractive. I figured it might just be because it takes effort and patience to keep it long and beautiful. Which to me are attractive qualities in a potential partner. It shows they are willing to take extra care of their self. Not saying men with short hair are all unattractive, I think I like that not many men these days have gorgeous locks down to their butt. I guess its the difference that I appreciate.
I'm 14. I'm a big fan of the 90's. I'm deciding to grow my hair out untill after my 16th birthday. In which I'll get most of what's past my shoulders cut off.
This was 5 year's ago so how's it going?
That was really interesting, especially about the doilies and night caps, always wondered what was up with the night caps.
I find long hair in guys very attractive >
So do you think Andy Biersack is attractive? He had long hair once time. Just google "Andy Biersack long hair".
One day long hair on men will become popular again
Out of all your videos I think this is the one that taught me the most in a single sitting.
I style myself after Charles I. People often call me a musketeer.
Why don't we talk about these things is school? O_O It's complex and interesting and really shows how big events affect even the small things in life and how they still affect us today. MY BRAIN IS IN LOVE
Sometimes I wish everyone was bald because then we wouldn't think it was weird for women or men and I wouldn't have to do anything with my hair :)
Short hair = robotic peer induced conformity
long hair = robotic peer induced nonconformity
No hair = Fuck me.
+ThePyrosirys sorry but conformity is well on the side of short hairs
Short hair = being one with god almighty and is a show that you have a full time job and have it all together as far as having a wife and family of your own is concerned, bro!!!!!!!
I'm a guy with hair past my shoulders and it's really low maintenance
I wear it long 'cause I just look fuckin' awesome
Whats up with the wonky Sierpinski triangle on the shirt?
I get my hair cut short because otherwise it would start curling in the back, and then the front would go into my eyes and also curl in a really strange way (it actually curls into the shape of a heart some days, definitely the manliest of styles). Plus, it takes forever to dry and I have to constantly move it around to get it to not look stupid or be in my way. With shorter hair, it dries on its own in minutes and all I have to do to make it look nice is push it back with one hand.
Since you are talking about hair, just stopped by to say. Your hair is awesome!
Maybe some guys look better with short/long hair...
Some do, some don't.
It reminds me during the pandemic I had to buy electric clippers from Target because all the barber shops were closed down. I didn't know how to cut my own hair, and tried, and it was real bad so I ended up just constantly shaving it bald for the next 18 months. I still cut my own hair (it saves me like 40 bucks a month) and it looks great now. It depends on what's going on with your life too
Gender equality is not just for women, otherwise it isn't gender equality.
Gender equality is regarding others as people, rather than as men or women. It is not to do with the physical and emotional (When these get brought into it, it doesn't work out.), but the intellectual and spiritual.
I might also point out that the name for the furniture "doilies" you mention is "antimacassars," occasioned because one of the very popular men's hair products of the 1800s was Rowland's Macassar Oil, which contained coconut oil and ylang-ylang, among other things, and was sold as late as the 1950s.
While I know far more men with short hair, I know a considerable number that wear their hair long.
I think you ignored the whole male patterned baldness issue. After all that was why Caesar cut his hair that short and started wearing the wreath of leaves on his head.
Very interesting, thank you!
Both of my male cousins( which are brothers ) have long hair. When they go out in public their mistaking for girls, but the younger brother is cutting hair. The older brother refuses to. Their hair is fabulous I need it.
No one ever talks about medium length hair. it's always either long or short.
When you pull my hair straight it hangs just below my shoulder blades. Reactions have always been mixed at any length. Some people love long hair and others always say to get it cut short.
Interesting video! Maybe you could do one on non-western cultures through history?
This was very funny. I think the majority of people think long hair looks feminine on guys, which is not true.
YOUR HAIR IS NOT A CAUSALITY!
Our hair is the physical extension of our thoughts, it gives us direction throughout our lives; each of our hair represents ourselves, they are strong connection points both of our body and of our spirit according to indigenous peoples.
Men and women of wisdom have long hair; on the other hand, in places where tyranny has been presented in any of its forms, short hair has been obligatory and this, together with other factors, has culminated in the spiritual and physical defeat of the peoples.
Hair has its own language and character, and the way it is styled is extremely important to whoever wears it:
The line in the middle represents the alignment of thought.
The braid, the unity of thought with the heart.
Loose hair means security.
Hair up, conviction.
Currently people comb their hair without knowing the meaning of their actions and the style in which it is used, hair is important because leaving vanity or practicality aside, the way you wear your hair will directly affect our mood.
Going into the thinking of indigenous peoples we will find that the way of wearing hair combed was of utmost importance because this way their participation in various events was described and announced: marriage or war, joy or mourning.
Through the hair and headdresses he wore, you could know the maturity of people, their status in society or the times of peace and war.
Hairstyles were like the seasons; They changed on public, private, and ceremonial occasions.
The hair represented the individual's thoughts and spiritual state; showing the bonds and spiritual unity of his family and defining the cultural harmony and spiritual alignment of his community.
The hair represented the states of nature, flowed in a straight line like waterfalls, or rippled like river water.
Indigenous children were taught to wash and rinse their hair.
In the teachings of many indigenous tribes, cutting hair represented a process of mourning or proximity to death.
Hair was a mystical element in all of them.
They did not allow anyone to touch their hair without their permission.
On the importance of long hair:
For a long time, peoples of different cultures have not cut their hair, because it is a part of who they are.
When the hair is allowed to reach its maximum length, then phosphorus, calcium, and vitamin D are produced, and enter the lymphatic fluid and finally the cerebrospinal fluid through two ducts in the upper part of the brain.
This ionic change makes memory more efficient and leads to increased physical energy, increased endurance, and stoicism.
If you decide to cut your hair, not only will this extra energy and nutrients be lost, but your body will need to provide a large amount of vital energy and nutrients to regrow lost hair.
Also, the hairs are the antennas that collect and channel the energy of the sun or (prana) to the frontal lobes, the part of the brain that is used for meditation and visualization.
These antennas act as conduits to achieve a greater amount of subtle energy, cosmic energy.
It takes approximately three years from the last time the hair was cut to form new antennae at the tips of the hair.
Wet hair:
When you pick up wet hair, it will tend to shrink and pinch a little, and even break as it dries.
A better idea is to take the time to sit in the sun once in a while and allow your clean, damp hair to dry naturally and absorb extra vitamin D.
Yogis recommend washing your hair every 72 hours (or more frequently if your scalp sweats a lot). It may also be beneficial to wash your hair after being upset or angry, to help process emotions.
Haircut:
Often when people were conquered or enslaved, their hair was cut as a sign of slavery, helplessness, and humiliation.
The bones of the forehead are porous and their function is to transmit light to the pineal gland, which affects brain activity, as well as the thyroid and sex hormones.
Just as tribes and entire societies were conquered, the haircut became so prevalent that the importance of hair was lost after a few generations, and hairstyles and fashion became the focus.
Closing cycles:
Our hair, like every cell in our body, has a memory, which is why it is common that when we close a chapter of our life, our being asks us for a haircut, unconsciously due to the need for renewal, as when trees loosen their bark, until to regain its vitality.
Wooden comb
Yogis also recommend using a wooden comb or brush to comb your hair, as it offers a great deal of circulation and stimulation to the scalp, and the wood does not generate static electricity, causing a loss of energy. from the hair to the brain.
You will notice that if you comb from front to back, back to front, and then several times to the right and to the left, it will refresh you, no matter how long your hair is.
All the weariness of the day will be gone.
For women, using this technique to comb hair twice a day is said to help maintain youth, a healthy menstrual cycle, and good eyesight.
If you have balding problems, the lack of energy in your hair can be counteracted with more meditation.
If you are finding some strands of silver (gray hair) in your hair, be aware that silver or white color increases the flow of energy and vitamins to compensate for aging.
For brain health, as you age, try to keep your hair as healthy and natural as possible.
It is said that when you allow the hair to grow to its full length and wind it around the crown of the head, the energy of the Sun, the prana, the vital energy, goes down the spine.
To counter that downward trend, the Kundalini life energy rises to create balance.
Your hair is not there by mistake. It has a purpose."

Is that Jack Kerouac in the photograph at 3:37?
I’ve grown my hair long a few times over my life, I’ll usually get my hair cut short after 1 and a half years of growing.
Yo, i'm a guy with long hair down to my back. To have nice looking hair isn't all that hard to maintain. However, short hair is easier.
all boys should have long hair tbh it's so attractive
I'm a boy with really long hair lol
Some of the reasoning...not all, but some is that It coincided with the military doctrine in some armies. Once infectious diseases and bacterial infections were understood it was mandatory for soldiers to get their hair cut to reduce infections in head wounds it also prevented the spread of head lice which was endemic due to close quarters in military encampments. Before that a man that was going to engage in close combat would wear short hair to prevent giving an enemy a handhold.
I have long hair and I'll never go back to short.
Great video, not as clueless as before buuut still unsatisfied with the answer
As far as Black men (and even Women) our hair began to be short when slavery started. West Africans, my ancestors, had many intricate braids and other hairstyles that were cut off as a way to strip them of their culture/identity. Basically, after that, the trend continued into being a social norm.
***** yeah! Lol I love my hair too and I definitely want a lot of it. People say "you should get a shape up of cut it" and I'm just sitting there with a smile on my face because I'm already content with myself
+Lupe Brooks Your hair type is amazing :3
Now, almost no black women dare to wear their natural hair. It's creepy. I've actually seen more black dudes with long hair than women.
***** I can't help but put all this on the Romans. They did that to all the Celts they Romanized, including the Spanish, who were said to wear long hair like women. And have face tattoos.
***** Exactly. And the hypocrisy always confused me as well. "Don't wear your hair long like a hippy" is a common thing my dad would say while Jesus rocked giant glorious brown locks in a painting right next to him.
Great video, wish the extreme long hair styles of the 1970s & 1980s were mentioned. They weren't hippy necessarily and they were far more extremevthan anything in the 1960s. I think they were more anti-yuppie and reflective of a Heavy Metal affection for Medievalism and Pagan Renaissance. Men's hair was gorgeous then and even better - no beards.
Funny I had long hair in college ONLY because women liked it. Sadly, it's a lot thinner now so short is how it has to be. :-(
1 Corinthians 11 says: "Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him, but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? ..." The Bible isn't forbidding men to have long hair, but it's interestingly pointing out the natural inclination for women's hair to be longER. So this teaching did influence culture because even when men had long hair, a woman's long hair was still a symbol of beauty. Just to add to the info here ;)
That's what I was thinking :)
Jesus had long hair
Hannah Paquette Actually, Michaelangelo thought Jesus had long hair. He most likely did not, as it was traditional Jewish men at the time to cut their hair short and grow beards.
I didn't know that ,thanks!
It was misinterpreted. It meant anything longer than the shoulders would look feminine and be dishonorable to the man as he would look feminine. They were talking about men growing their hair down to their ass.
The other possibilities are military uniformity and lice.
I once read it started as a consequence of the mass parasite infections among the soldiers in ww1 and that it has been considered to be higenic ever since then.
In India, kings would keep their hair long because they could afford to take care of it due to being rich and so long hair was seen as a sign of nobility.
im long hair bloke i grew it out cuz i felt like something was missing about my head and it also looked lots of fun having long hair
Also...long hair symbolizes a man as wild and untamed. Hippies, rebels, and eccentric pop stars like Michael Jackson all rocked the long locks, while those more 'cultured' or 'civilized' folks often trimmed theirs short.
Well that depends on the time period.
That would also explain why pretty much all of the women in the government have short hairstyles too, right? No one would take them seriously because of their long locks?
Lol I'm never cutting off my lushes long hair that goes past my shoulders, down to my back it's so amazing and men with long is better with men with short hair it's better looking and cool
*luscious
My wavy hair is about 13/14 inches long
I think it also has a lot to do with fashion. I remember in the 1970's guys would grow their hair long. Do you remember the "Shag"? it was a style where the hair would drape around the neck. very popular in those days. by the way, you are so funny, with your funny antics and impersonations, LOL thank you!
Depending on your work long hair can be rather dangerous. It is no fun having to cut your hair out of some machinery.
I guess to some degree I wear my hair long as a statement. As a small business owner (my own boss), I have no office dress code, so I do take a little pride in not having to wear a suit and a tie, and being able to have/not hide my tattoos. There must be some perks in not receiving a fixed salary...
Did it ever occur to Cristen that the reason why guys have short hair is because guys have better things to do with their time than the ladies who have to spend three hours a day washing, conditioning, drying, and styling their long hair? Could it possibly be as simple as that?
And the ad on the side of the video is, of course, an ad for hair loss.
Most men I know including myself just don’t like the hassle of longhair
My hair reaches all the way down my back. Now if only my beard would hurry up and match it... I expect that I grew my hair because everyone else wore it short.
I feel like it's culture. If a male wants long hair, he might be worried of the weird looks he will get. People may find it odd.......but WHY is the question.
