The issue is that vtubers are a separate thing from IRL streamers. If you look at Zentreya for example, she(?) uses text to speech. Is she actually a woman? Yes, because that's what her vtuber model is. And if Bungo Taiga claimed to be female rather than a femboy, I would have said "Yeah, that seems right." With vtubers, it's the model/persona that matters. And if one becomes the most popular female persona as a vtuber, that's just how it is. A fake person being a fake female? Doesn't matter. The free market of ideas said it's fine, so it's fine.

Well but for real, we know vedal won't do that because of controversy surrounding asmon, and he doesn't want to be involved with any drama. Even if the Collab will happen, what will the theme will be about? Most of the past collabs have certain theme, like dating, therapist, prank, etc. I'm guessing the only good theme with asmon collab is a debate with certain topics, like video game or philosophical stuff.
Vedal is the streamer, by the relevant definition (requiring a person), not Neuro. QED. The definitions of words don't change because of an irrelevant graphic and sound effect. (Now prove you don't grasp logic by insisting it's relevant. Being on topic and related to the thing discussed doesn't change relevance such that "it's a female streamer" doesn't rely on fallacious reasoning including redefining words.)
The issues with Vedal being in either female or male streamer category is that he himself isn't the focus of the channel so it's a bit disingenuous to put his channel in the male streamer category when you are most of the time getting an AI that is represented as a female. Saying Neuro isn't a female is the same as saying no fictional character is male or female because they're not real
I think this is the best logical argument I have heard, it's like how some of the best Women in fiction were actually written by a man yet we don't relabel them as being Men because they were created by a man. Vtubing is a play/show/story it's kind of the streaming version of fictional writing.
I think the point loses strength when we talk about awards for stremer, I think that Vedal as the creator of Nero should have another type of award and not the one for best female stremer. Nero is not a woman because she is an AI and even though she is a character, we are talking about stremers, which changes a bit of a whole argument, but it's a good point ngr
@melodiasrojas8428 I mean Neuro herself acts and calls herself a streamer though so she is in many ways a streamer. Unless they add another very specific category for her, which would be odd considering it would be pretty much just exclusive for her, I don't see why she can't be in the female streamer category.
all I'm hearing is vedel987 is both highest female streamer and one of the higher male streamer at the same time. until such time as TAS (tool assisted streamer/ing) becomes it's own category on twitch at least. then I'm afraid we'll have to segregate neuro and vedel 987 to that category and make sure they aren't present in the other two no matter what. however even if it eventually makes sense for the channel to be in another category, we shouldn't let that prevent accurate reporting of data. so until TAS becomes it's own category we should have it be represented twice in both category for which the channel is applicable. male, female, a.i. and whicheversoelse besides.
"Are men are good to become a woman?" I guess so.. 😅 I mean they clearly knows their standards. So of course its easy for them to overshadow real woman. As a female myself, I don't mind about this, cause I wanna see where this goes.
This rises a bigger question on why even divide male and female streamers in graphs? I would say that in streamer question of gender is of secondary interest. I quess this could easily solved by making neutral gender category, but as stated before, maybe everyone should be treated as streamers and not as female or male streamer.
Because male streamers are, on the whole, more popular than female streamers. If you don't separate them, female streamers drop out of the top ratings instantly.
Because then one gender would dominate the other. And i think it's relevant, without checking stats, i can confidently say: Lord Athelson and CDawg VA have much higher female viewership. Nyanners and IronMouse have much higher male viewership. (i chose these people specifically as mirrors of each other because they are closely related male/female content creators, respectively) People like Naggz i think could have a more equal split (70,30), but it probably leans towards male viewership. A good example for your point. Smaller streamers (x
And he's not exactly right either. Neuro is the face of the channel. She's the one advertised and shown the most. Neuro has been a part of more streams without Vedal than Vedal has without Neuro. Advertising if it is Vedal on the screen, entertaining everyone, is dishonest too. This...this isn't a black and white issue. At the end of the day, people are just looking at Neuro-sama, who is programmed to be a "girl." And, thus, that's just the easiest way to classify her. It's not a category of streamer anymore, but a category of enteriment type. And the "type" of entertainment Neuro appears to give is one from a "female streamer".
