I was frequent visitor of the Chicago location , a beautiful restaurant with wood grain paneling and old world elegance. The food was top notch and never disappointed plus service was kind & efficient. I was saddened that the Chicago location closed and haven't visited a Lawry's in a long time. But for anyone who is considering a visit highly recommend. Skip the appetizers & booze and just get the traditional Prime Rib cut you will get out of there for around $85.
This chain is one of my favorite restaurants in the US. I was really sad when they started closing all their places in the US like Chicago and Dallas. It has limited my ability to go there. It was always busy; I could not understand their thinking. Incredibly sad, always good service and food.
I was actually impressed by the bill. Three people having an awesome meal in a fancy place for around $200. Leave a good tip and it's still less than $250. Not bad for Vegas.
I have visited their Beverly Hills location several times and it's always worth the trip. I always say that I'd love to try out something other than their prime rib cuts because their other dishes sound delicious but again, since I'm driving from out of town then it would seem like a waste not to get the prime rib. Thanks for the video!
So loved the Chicago location. Forty years ago my boss who was a friend and I would make a point of eating there a couple times a year. Oh the days with an unlimited expense account.
Thanks for your comment. We wanted to show other dishes for the vlog for the non meat eaters as they do sometimes find themselves in these places to accompany their meat loving friends or family members. The salmon was just ok but the chicken was really good - moist inside with a bit of a crunch on the skin.
I don’t mean to get excited but wasn’t the elderly gentleman who was seated at the table across from you, and clearly visible in a few shots of your video, Oscar Goodman? Dude, that’s Vegas royalty!
I was so focused on the food that I wasn''t paying too much attention elsewhere. Honesty I would not be able to recognize him as my only recollection of seeing him is on photos from the Oscar's Steakhouse at the Plaza when we tried it a few years ago but thanks for pointing it out.
Just now caught this video of my favorite prime rib restaurant in V-Town. But no, that wasn't Oscar Goodman sitting at the table across from WanderetsaM.
My wife and I went there a few months ago, and it’s just not as good as it use to be 4-5 years ago! The food quality is not so good anymore. Service and ambiance is still great though!
Hi, the prime rib was really good - pink all around, juicy and very tender as I was able to cut and devour it just by using a bread knife. The $95 includes the spinning bowl salad that was prepared table side, mashed potatoes, whipped cream horseradish and Yorkshire pudding. I find the price on the higher side compared to other restos but I'm sure they priced in the ambience and service as well. My usual go to place is the double cut Prime Rib at Ellis Island which is half the cost and without the bells and whistles.
Food looks SO good. SEEMS ODD that when the person cutting the prime rib ladled gravy onto the plate he spilled it across the edge of the plate and didn't clean the plate edge before serving it. A first class place always serves a plate with clean edges. Yes, a small thing perhaps, but this sort of thing actually matters in a 'first class' place.
I noticed many of the diners tonight are senior citizens - testament to the juicy piece of meat that they offer. It's probably due to older people having way more money than younger people actually.
French dressing, yuk! No Ranch or Roquefort, Blue Cheese, Italian dressing? The one salad dressing I can’t stand, I’ll skip the salad and the spinach🤮 Just bring me the beef and potato’s TY very much.
Lawry’s is an absolute NEVER AGAIN for me. The restaurant was beautiful, or waiter was perfect - the prime rib was tough and stringy. Seriously, I’ve gotten MUCH better prime rib in Vegas, for a quarter of Lawry’s prices.
I love Prime Rib and the plated images looked good. But the shots of the meat in the cart looked so unappealing… just butchered meat sitting there and very unattractive. Hopefully it tasted better.
Unfortunately the resto is dimly lit and I do not want to disturb other diners if I take out my portable light gadget. The prime rib was cooked and tasted really well. Thanks for watching.
I'm lost on this one! Why would someone order a baked chicken or a piece of dry salmon at a steakhouse? That was lame😢 The prime rib looked OK but Lawry's is just another run-of-mill overpriced Las Vegas steakhouse! Not even a great date night! The salad also looked wimpy, dog😂
Thanks for your comment. We wanted to try other dishes for the vlog. The salmon was just ok but the chicken was really good - moist inside with a bit of a crunch on the skin. The place is certainly on the pricier side compared to other prime rib restos around but we really enjoyed the food on our visit.
Hayden Fry used to take the Iowa Hawkeye football team there, when they went to The Rose Bowls. Back in the 80's. Great food.
Yum! Delicious! And what a funky soundtrack to boot! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your comment. Have a nice day!

Everything they ordered looked absolutely top drawer! Made me wish I was there. What can you say but: "Yum-Yum"!

👍Thanks for watching!
indeed, that sounds reasonable.....
You are welcome @@WanderetsaM
That place is tight. Fantastic prime rib and trimmings.
My absolute favorite restaurant in LV started going there when they opened 25 years ago!
Every time I’m in town I have dinner there.
Wow... you are so powerful.
the meat is one of the best cooked ive seen any any restaurant. best edge to edge pink

@@dougholdem2898 thanks for watching. Expense meals are always good 👍
Wow looks delish! Which dish would you recommend for a meat lover?
The prime rib for sure! if you get a chance you should try it. Thanks for watching and have a good day.
Tried it already, excellent meat and wines but all priced accordingly
looks absolutely delicious. Love Lawry's. Did you get the bread thing?
Thanks for your comment. Yes, the prime rib did came along with the bread pudding but unfortunately was missed in the video. My apologies :-(
Goodness on a plate , hallelujah ❤
It SUCKED!!!!!
Any chance they could cook the beef ?
@@kbkarnesis i am sure they will if asked to. I just tried it as is and really liked it. Thanks for watching!
Who goes to Lawry's are orders chicken or Salmon? Sheesh
The question should be, “Why does Lawry’s offer it?”

Right? Total blasphemy lol
In Singapore Lawry’s, the biggest cut, DIAMOND JIM BRADY" CUT (450g) costs USD $181 before tax ya! 😮💨
@@monkeyguy80 wow, hope it is as juicy and tender as what they have over in Vegas. Thanks for watching btw 👍
Amazing !!!!!

The meat is cooked with a warm hug ❤
@@anthonyfelony LOL. Thanks for watching!
Uh...just leave the cart and you can go home, I'll clean up after I'm done eating all the prime rib my stomach can handle.

@ Look it’s still Prime Rib!!
Was that prime rib worth $95?

Easily the best in Vegas
Looks pretty tough to me...
it was actually very good but on the pricier side. Thanks for watching and have a good day.
Looked pretty tender considering it was a butter knife used to cut the prime rib…
Ellis Island kills this
I would lean towards Ellis Island for the price. Thanks for watching.
@@WanderetsaM You do good stuff and it's always watchable and I appreciate it so thank you!
@@KevinBullard thanks so much for your support and happy that you like the videos! have a good day.
ON PRICE YES, BUT NOT QUALITY OR AMBIENCE ...PLUS ELLIS ISLAND IS A SLUMMY LOOKING PLACE
Why no customers? Off hours?
Hi, thanks for watching. I waited until they closed before taking the video on the reception area so as not to invade the privacy of other patrons.
So depressing i can't eat this stuff

200 for about 35$ worth of actually food. Mark is ridiculous
Elevator music and crap food in an old fashioned dining area.

Good luck now that most who can afford such prices have vowed to leave the country, Ha, Ha.

Not very impressed with anything I saw, substandard compared to what I make at home, especially for the prices they command.
Too red for me
