I personally think that the 2014 Australian Open QF against Djokovic the year before was Stan's best performance. Partly because hard courts are Djokovic's favorite surface and at the time, he already had a solid record at the AO. Along with that, Stan came in clutch when he needed to in order to beat Djokovic at his own game. However, I do agree that the 2015 French Open final was still undoubtedly one of his greatest.

I'm a die-hard Djokovic fan and I think that GOAT status is his to lose at this point. But I have to admit, Stan's god mode is the most impressive thing I've ever seen in tennis and the type of tennis I personally find to be most interesting to watch. It's so savage but surgical at the same time. Too bad he is a late bloomer and does not have much control over that god mode switch. It seems to be available to him only a few times a year and sometimes only once in a few years. But when it is on... everyone take cover! He takes no prisoners.

Amazing talent. He could have won way more Slams. Best backhand (with Guga Kuerten) I've ever seen, only second to Edberg's. A coach like Ivan Lendl would have done wonders for him.

It’s crazy to think that Stan won his 3 slams by beating Djokovic along the way in all of them, and yet Roger is winless vs Novak in slams since 2014. Stanimal is really such an apt moniker. He can pretty much beat anyone in a good day.

He can't beat Federer on hard courts. Look at the record and you will see that he is owned by Federer.

  • @jatuttable

He doesn't get enough respect for doing this in the era of the big 3. As we see the next gen trying a failing to beat them and see Wawrinka winning his 3 GS we realize what he accomplished.

God mode yet he loses in straights in that Toronto match againts Rafa? So disrespectful from TennisTV. You could have chosen to show that win over Rafa at the Paris Masters in 2015.
