Me too. Plant based and love making vegan versions of old foods I once loved. Plus I cook for 2 others who are not vegan that makes me crave to make a vegan version of their food, because it smells sooo good. I am trying to eat more raw, but it's hard.

YES! I started my journey a year ago. Having a positive mental attitude that one "fail" does not make me a "failure" or undo all my hard work thus far has made such a positive impact on my health and freed me to live without fear of falling. A baby isn't a pro at walking on their first attempt. I lost 45 lbs in 5 months last year. This year, I've had some issues that interfered with exercise time and nutrition, but I am growing as a Vegan. I am looking for a portable exercise routine and studying recipes this summer to set myself up for success in the coming semester! The good news about this last semester is that I maintained, I didn't gain. I have a supportive community I know look up to me and applaud me and when I have felt like throwing in the towel, I just remember what I am working toward. I imagine I am in a race, it doesn't matter whether I win or lose or who I'm racing against, only that I finish. I can see all those who support me cheering me on to just go that *little bit* further! It's such a motivation for me, knowing that I am making a positive impact not only on MY life, but on the lives of all those around me and. I. KEEP. GOING!
I have problems with focusing on healthy foods since i still live att home with my non-vegan family...my mom bakes vegan sweets and buys non dairy icecream to me like all the time and i really don't know what to do..help?
Talk to your mom why you're vegan. Show her some videos or a documentary. Ask her to not buy you these things. Show that you appreciate it ! But that you don't want those things anymore

Apart from that, you can lose weight in many ways, also as a meateater or vegetarian, so it's great if people choose a vegan diet.
Yes, it is great if people choose a vegan diet. But if you choose it to lose weight, it becomes a vanity issue or a health issue. It has nothing to do with what veganism is about. Vegans understand this. We're not in this for ourselves. We are purely driven by our desire to help the plight of animals and the state of the planet. People who choose to be vegan based on losing weight are going to move on to the next diet that promises a lean physique or as soon as they get bored with veganism.
I think any approach to spread veganism is admirable - there are so many. Before I turned vegan, yes I loved animals, but I was hardly compassionate or open enough to understand how horrendous the meat/dairy industry is. I turned vegan because my physical and emotional health were going down the drain. After I turned vegan, I became more loving to myself, and then I understood the ethical reasons behind other people turning vegan. Now, I remain vegan because I love animals, and I don't promote pain. So any approach to attract people to explore veganism is good don't you think? Even for me, the ethical reasons came later. Majority of the people in this world are selfish and blind to the pain of meat-eating, any positive sharing like what Rawvana is doing is good, it attracts! At least vain people will look into it and hopefully realize the wonders of veganism like we did when they try it out and understand it better :)

It depends what you want. If you want to lose weight, i belive fruit smoothies are not recomended. You should eat the fruit as it is.
