You may have seen higher numbers with the turbo im using (gtx2860 gen2). Im running it up in 3rd gear (4th is 1:1) as wheel speed is too high with the 31" tyres. Strapped so no roller climb. It's using 87% injector duty of the 980cc injectors, on the high boost e30 runs. So yeah would probably show a little more power if ran up in a chassis a 4age would normally be in. Oh and all the paddock runs were done on the 230kw tune

Do some tests with the fuel temperature use a gearbox oil cooler and place it in front and turn on its fan which is on the floor, place computer coolers and then immerse it in a bucket of ice

@@m.b.82 Its using about 765cc of fuel on e10 and 850cc on e30, per cylinder. the calculators online say that should be mid to high 400's at engine. Seems like a bit of a stretch to me, but the turbo is also rated to 475hp and seems to be maxed out. so guess is possible its getting up there.
I'd like to see you try using some methanol, you might need bigger injectors though and more timing, i've seen some pretty good results on an old beat up v8 😅

Given the fuel situation, have you considered running a water/meth injection system as an option? Either way I'd be interested to see what kind of results you'd get with one.
I would rather just inject with the fuel, rather than a second system, less to go wrong. Flex fuel is the way to go. I need to upgrade the ecu on this thing before i can run it though.
When youre running the turbo off the map like that, its a good time to modify inlet and IC restrictions to see if you can actually gain any overhead. I was also very surprised to see that youre hitting, essentially, MBT on pump gas, boosted all the way up top! Nice video.

The engine itself would be next on the list but would be good for a bit more. whole setup is more built to be efficient power rather than big power. Is video's on the intake setup also, which is essentially the same as my na setup with a plenum. Engine was getting into light knock both on the pump gas and e30 high boost runs. so is a bit away from MBT without being on kill. I will be running 2-4 less advance for a good safety buffer, on the final tune.

I've tried pretty much everything at lower power. from memory i got to the point that the air intake setup made more power than with nothing attached to the turbo. due to the fact it wasn't sucking hot air from engine bay. and that was with the bonnet open too. I'm building up a similar engine for a friend, but with actual nice new parts not old junk like mine. Trying to convince him to go G25 or similar on it. 300kw should be easy enough without stressing the engine too much.
@@carstennobody7047 probably a little, but isn't retarded enough to pump a lot of heat into exhaust. if we are talking high boost runs, the timing up top was about 16degrees, and around 20 with the 4 degrees added. also unsure where the 3hp number come from, is 11hp difference at peak power going from the baseline e30 run to the +4 deg e30 run. past peak power it looks to be more like 15hp. But end of the day i know what he mean's, there isn't a lot more to be gained in the timing.
way back on my old car i used to run water injection. Im not a huge fan of it these days, not that it doesn't work. I know can have fail safes and things, but is just one more thing to go wrong and if doesn't activate goodbye engine
@@mr.pineapple7620 its a garrett gtx2860 gen 2, with .64 rear housing. have seen them max out at around 300kw on a 4age. but different dyno and in a car with less driveline loss than my hilux. You can see in the 14psi runs, which is on gate pressure only, the boost is starting to drop at high rpm, which is a sign of it starting loose efficiency
@@Garage4age Half the time the wheels are off the ground and you can't get enough speed on. Big bumps are exactly what it's for. Take a look at a video of pro motorcrossers vs the amateurs and you will see it. Use your shocks, but get them revalved at a pro shop with a full-on digressive setup, if they can even be revalved... I'm not criticising you, I'm helping you.

Much more neutral than AW11, 200kg less than SW20. And newer.

Its out of turbo. I was trying to ramp the boost up at high rpm to hold the torque flat and make more power. but that's most it would run.
