Love the Cheerokees, we try to go every year. My husband n I have been going a long time. We came when our 4children was small. Now they come n bring the grandbabies. We love it ❤ Love the Smoky Mountains 💕
I bet that was fun. Waterfall hiking is something everyone should try once. Our son loves doing that as well. But I don't think he's been to WV yet. Thanks.
Great video. It certainly is great fun in the mts of north Carolina as well how ever the water in Cherokee is damn cold lol. Oh the bull riding I tried that a few times when my band played at bars in early 80s after urban cowboy came out. And like you I'm 68 I'm not going down that rabbit hole again! Thanks for posting beautiful views in the mts. I prefer land a little flatter and sandy these days.
I hear ya. And I thought that bull would snatch my hip out of place. Lol. Yes, the beach is more our speed, but sometimes, we have to take a break. We may hit Gatlinburg this Aug. for a weekend.
I live here in Cherokee and I want to reach out to the people who may be wanting to visit here or stay. PLEASE do not stay at a Airbnb. There has been cases of cameras that have been spying on people in the last couple of years. It's not out to the public because they don't want to scare their tourist friends away. By all means please stay at a motel or hotel IF you can. I highly recommend it. I want you to enjoy the place I live but please think about it. Stay safe.
@@BeachinwiththeBoones Yes please I would advise you to please stay at the motel that’s near the casino. I’m not sure what the one below Wendy’s is called, it’s not the “El camino motel” but the one near the red lights. I seen today is that the stay there is like $70 a night. Way cheaper than a Airbnb. Then things you can never be sure about. Especially how the world is, a hidden camera could have someone’s innocent family on the he web. It’s sickening 🤮. Yeah the motel I discussed is owned by a member here on the eastern band of Cherokee Indians. He was a Chief about 5 years ago super nice.
Does anyone know where the Native American statue use to be located? What store or establishment? It was mounted on a platform with a teepee in front of him
Stay out of the casino, the road between it and Maggie Valley is called "The New Trail of Tears". You won't be crying going from Maggie Valley to Cherokee but you will be on the way back. LOL
I understand. lol We like to put about $5 - $10 in a machine and then walk around. Never been a big gambler, but we know many who are - and their tiers are on that trail. Lol
Awesome... love it up there...
Thanks. We try to get there a couple times a year if possible. Love it there too. Thanks again.

Yes, it's nice up in that area.
Great vacay get-a-way

Me , my son and a few of his friends went tubing on the James river up in VA and it was so much fun.
That sounds like fun. If we get up that way, we'll have to keep that in mind. We like tubing on rivers.

Thanks for letting everyone know. That's horrible. When we come there, we try to stay at one of the motels along the river. Great town - definitely.

I plan on camping only
Can you do any gold panning
Next time we're in the area, will try to do that. Thanks for the great suggestion.
I have been there🙂
Yes, we like it. Hope you can make it back there soon. Thanks for the comment.
Spending a week camping in june at yogi
We hope you have a great week there. Safe travels and thank you for watching.

I'm assuming your talking about the large one on this video at 2:55 right?
@@BeachinwiththeBoones yeah, but the pants were painted a little different, and it was perched with a teepee on a wooden platform in the 90s
I think I remember that.
Never put in at an exit only area
If you're referring to tubing at #5 on our list, then you are correct. We don't like when people do that either. Thanks for watching.
